Thank you. One of the best ever victorinox alox colour editions I have ever seen.
Amazing collection and dedication...love them.
I just ordered an Champaign gold cadet today on Amazon India...have a small collection of SAK here from years...very expensive hobby for an average Indian. This would be my first alox cadet ..I have t pioneers in silver n orchid colour.
Please keep on making SAK videos.
congrats to this impressive collection.
Love the cadet collection 👍
Great collection and review. Thanks for posting.
Great video presentation just got me hooked on Victorinox Cadet ALOX.
Beautiful collection my favorite are red original , black, silver and champagne 2019 merci .
the cadet has been my most loyal dab/pipe tool i’ve ever had
Great collection. Well done !
Great job on the rainbow flat lay! 🤗
It better be your favorite! You have a ton of them. Great review
That’s the best collection of Alox I’ve ever seen ! Didn’t know how many different colours they made,Aloxs are my favourite ones because I hate plastic, well done mate good video and thanks for sharing
Beatifull collection! My only one Cadet is a 2018 berry red limited edition. I love that knife so much! I was afraid when I heard that the color can worn off but so far after one year use It is still in a great shape. If you need a workhorse you can still buy the silver alox for less money and without any color that is very wear ressistant. Maybe I will do that in the future :'D
I also have a Pioneer 2019 champagne gold, a Victorinox Solo in silver and a Pioneer X in silver. They are excellent knives. Many other mentioned here that they prefer the Pioneer but my personal favourite is the Pioneer X. That extra layer gives a great comfort when you holding the knife and the scissors are essential for me. Overall in size and in terms of tools that is great for me.
I do really understand your words about a Cadet is a great companion because It is not threatening. I work in a office and non of my colleagues using any pocket knife. These small knives they can accept however they are still making a joke about why I am carrying a small pocket knife with me. I just don't care.
The Sportsman is quite like the Cadet but with the cork screw and with the awl. Which allows to open boxes while keeping the mane blade clean.
Lovey lovey colers very nice indeed my favorite is the victorinox fieldmaster it's a great allrandr in my opinion he bud thanks for sharing this with us I've always wanted one of those so I just might pick up some after seeing how nice these things are thanks again pal
Nice Cadet collection! I don't have one yet. I EDC a Swiss Champ and a Rambler
Nice review, well done , amazing collection and colors, I liked blue one with silver cross n shield 🛡️, thanks for sharing
The Cadet + and the +2 are very interesting as well. The have a saw and either the stock file or a second small blade. I believe I have every color!
The 2021 orange is my favorite. I bought 2, to keep one in the box.
Sick collection, a pleasure to the eye. I'm one of those crazy assholes that files the keyring! Hahaha. Keep it coming!
First time to your channel, wish I had found you a couple grand earlier! Lol no buy thats cool you love a knife to go to so many variations of it. An yes for a knife with no pocket clip man its nice!
Great video! I love the cadet too. My favorite use for the can opener is as a staple remover.
You mentioned carrying your cadet in a slip. Is that a leather belt pouch?
Great video. I just got my first Cadet in Alox black. I like the lanyards. What size paracord and what knit do you use. Thanks
If only they could make a Cadet-X.😮
Red cadet rides in my pocket everyday.
The pioneer in black is my everyday carry and its my favourite all time. So extremely useful
It seems more useful than the cadet. I'll take an awl over a file any day. Although the Pioneer X adds the scissors (and about $9), which I use more than anything on my minis. The Farmer swaps the scissors for the saw, and I think the tools on the Farmer tend to be a little more thick/sturdy than the standard ones. But another step up and we're really getting into the cash for a fairly small knife, and not too far from decent multitools. It's all about finding your tipping point, I guess. 😊
Damn I never knew that many colours of the alox were made. I wish they'd offer the alox in multiple colours on all their knives instead of just releasing one colour for one particular knife each year. Love the way the colour wears off after they've been carried for a long time giving it a weathered look
I only open my beers with my Victorinox knives and cans too.
Neat collection!
Hello there I've been using the red scale Swiss army knifes for many years but after a while the red palsc scales come off and it's so annoying so I'm really interested in picking up one of the aloxs Swiss army knifes because in my opinion they would last longer by the way happy new year and thanks for sharing this information with us thanks 👍
I EDC Tinker, and it's my favorite.
I use the can opener on my Pioneer, it works great
Sick collection, wish I could find a steel blue! Best site for paracords?
I carry the classic and the cadet every singe day!
Great video, and conversation. Always good to see a video from you! Cheers!
Thanks, man! Appreciate it!
Great collection of cadets! I personally liked the vintage version better with the long ribbed scales! It feels great in the hand and they seem heavier too? They only came in red or silver I believe? I had the silver with the small heart logo.
Love the collection!! Do you know the color name/distributor for the other dark blue/teal variant next to the Steel Blue edition? Thanks
What is the font called for that tattoo (LESS)? Looks cool.
And, have you seen glow-in-the-dark scales for these?
I like the Cadet but I can’t live without the awl so the Pioneer is my personal favorite. 👍
Awesome video Tom I have a red one and like everything else it’s in storage right 😂 oh ya the cap lifter on those work great I have so many favorites
thanks, bud!
Missed the best use for the file. Can sharpen (chisel like) the tip and use it like an awl/reemer as well as a great way to open things like mail, packages, plastic etc.
I use the wire stripper quite a bit...its great at it's intended job.
the Cadet might be the best overall for minimalist pocket carry, but you didn't mention the best way to carry one in the pocket. Add a vertical pocket clip so you can clip it to the outside of your front pants pocket. I used to keep a cadet in my car, but now I have a Pioneer, which is slightly larger than the Cadet.
I'm lusting after the 2 grey ones in the middle, are they a limited edition/special edition?
Personally, I prefer the Evolution 14 grip (Evogrip 14). Essentially an 85 mm Climber…with a nail file instead of a small blade (like the Cadet, but with scissors). To each his/her/their own. Good luck!
Cadets are so great. I have the three basic colors. I missed out on these limited editions, and I want to eventually have a decent collection like yours. I found someone selling a new orange, and dark green for $100. I think this might be a good start. They don't have the Limited Edition year stamped on the back? Is that normal?
Do you think $100 is a fair price? Thanks.
While I don’t agree on it being best knife, I appreciate your opinion. I do like the cadet. I have a red one and a black one. Good super low profile knife and who doesn’t love Alox, haha.
I just need a blade. I switch between the Alox Bantom, and the Alox #1. If I am in a setting where I feel the need to wear socks, I figure anything goes so I carry the Bantom for the extra tool. No socks means blade only. Alox 1. Those 2 are all I ever need.
I prefer the farmer. The saw on it helps with guardens.
On their website, Victorinox talk about a toothpick on the cadet... Which part could work as a toothpick? The nail file maybe?
Bruhhhhh Topo Chico is fire!!!!
I have one I carry every day. Reg. red, didnt know they made all of those colors.
I always liked SAKs but it was a friend's little red Cadet that made me really fall in love with them.
I started with some 84 mm but now I'm much more of a 93 mm guy. But I still like Cadets, and you have a really nice collection of them!
Oh, and I'm one of the crazy guys who always dremel the ring off :D
93mm is nice for sure! Thanks!
Dang, awesome collection you have there. How long did it take to get of of them?
Where do you get these? All I can find is classic and pioneer in colours
1) you are an underrated CZcamsr. I know you do well on IG but I enjoy your video content more than other, more well known, CZcamsrs.
2) how can I find that darker OD green? I don't own a cadet yet as I want a custom.. but that dark od green makes me want one immediately
Thank you for the kind words! I wish I had time to do everything I wanted to do! I'd make these all day long! And the darker OD Cadet was from DLT Trading. I don't think they have the OD anymore, but I bet you can score on one ebay!
@@NotoriousEDC thank you for taking the time to reply! I'll check out eBay, since I have you hear how much was that oeser front flipper you had made?
Holy shat…. I’m dying for the champagne or other browns.
Look at a Bantam alox. Its like a cadet but only 1 layer with blade, and a combo tool. It will most likely fit in your skinny jeans :)
How did you get all those colors?? i want some :)
Cap lifter Vs bottle opener... I've never heard it called a call lifter before. Where do they call it that?
Very nice collection
Good review...But no way the best V-nox, the lack of tools in it is an understatement, no saw, no scissor..
insane you got 5 colors cadets for 50 bucks each now they're crazy expensive
I prefer the Compact. Barely bigger but much more tools.
I wish they didn't retire colors 😅
I would take the pioneer over the cadet. The reason being because all the tools are the same apart from the pioneer having an awl instead of the nail file. I think the awl is more useful and more suited to the rest of the tools. The file would be a more useful and compatible tool if it was a proper file for use on metal and wood.
I hear ya! It's all about your individual needs!
where's the pre mid 80's Cadet's with fluted ribbed scales and small pen blade ? I'm tellin Mom !!!
Damn!
don't care about the added mass...smallest I want is a CHAMP/CHAMPION or HANDYMAN
I'm sorry, but you're wrong.
The small Tinker is the best SAK EDC 😁😅
Pioneer X Alox every day of the week.
Love the cadet. Wish they would swap out the can opener for scissors.
no room for it with the bottle opener!
@@NotoriousEDC True. Didn't think of that 👍
If they simply added the scissors it would be perfect.
@@MPerry-ox9qb The nearest to that is the Pioneer X but it has the reamer/awl in place of the nailfile, and it's 93mm. A great EDC though.
Maybe a scissor from the classic sd, that is small
has anyone ever tried putting a pocket clip on them?
Is it true that the file can actually be used as phillip screwdriver?
Yep!
End of the can opener is a great 2 d Phillips
👍
Cadet, Great edc.....tinker small, more great......
84mm is just too small for my big hands. I also couldn’t live without the Vic awl, that fingernail cleaner is pretty much useless for my needs. I think the awl does a better job anyway! 😂😂😂
I like the Cadet because . . . . no goofy corkscrew.
haha yeah the corkscrew is a polarizing tool!
I would say that Pioneer is a lot better knife than Cadet
who the hell disliked i mean what did you expect
Can I have one?
Cadet would have been the best if it had scissors and a corkscrew
26 x $30 or more ...well over $1000.00
you talk about EDC and yet here you are with your mint cadets never carried never used . :)))
where is the scissors? Farmer X is the best victorinox
Without corkscrew it's not real cadet.
Spartan is better :)
cadet is a wonderful knife...but i prefer the simple pioneer, ...the bradawl is like an emergency everything tool...you could perform brain surgery with that bradawl.
What a wonderful collection! I didn't even know they have so much different colors for one model.
