  • Plenty of monster truck shows throughout history have little to no public media of the event itself, but not all of them are as unique as this one, especially for Monster Jam. Find out what makes this one so special, as well as so rare.

MY friend DiggerFan93 said that he did go see every Monster Jam event in Houston since the mid-1990s and continued even in to the Reliant/NRG stadium era which continues on to this day and I showed him this and he said he may have been there since he does remember the sport evolve into the modern Monster Jam so it was nice to hear that he enjoyed this era of monster truck racing. So it is very much likely he may have gone to this show but doesn't remember a thing about it since it has been forgotten for almost 25 years.

There are so many overlooked crashes from the 1990s and 2000s of Monster Jam. I remember seeing that same Monster Patrol crash into wall at the Arco Arena in January 2000

This is a huge reason why im always interested in the 2000 because The 2000 season had many obscure shows throughout the 2000 season not just this one.
Sandy 2009 is probably in my opinion the most obscure in that era that most shows at least some level of fan footage (late 2000s early 2010s)

Could you perhaps do a video similar to this one on the 2002 Paris show? That event is probably one of the most sought after, even more so that we have evidence that it was shown on TV as a live broadcast. There's probably someone out there that did record the whole broadcast and doing something similar to what you said in this video (perhaps not a bounty), it would surely grab someone's attention. After all, that is how the European Monster Jam episodes were found, it's just a case of putting the message out there and the right people coming across it

I agree with this, except I think the 2001 event would be more fitting, since it was also a crossover between monster trucks and supercross. Not to mention, there’s no video of Grave Digger at the show, and only brief footage of Inferno’s run.

Houston seemed to have a couple of interesting but largely unknown events. Like the thrill shows, which I think have a snippet of footage in that one El Toro Loco European episode. Always love watching your stuff, as I’m always looking to learn more about the sport I love, even if my love for its modern era isn’t hat strong.

Cool video! 2 questions: 1. Where did you get the music from the TNN days to play in the background? I loved some of the music they used back then and have always wondered if they were actual “songs” that can be found and played somewhere by themselves?
And 2 where did you find the clip at 9:33 of digger pogo-ing over the bus? The only clip I’ve seen of that show is the one in CM2 of blacksmith crashing a similar way. Always assumed it was a Canada show based on the concrete and dirt layout but never had a definitive answer of that event.

    Michael Vaters in Black Stallion
    Paul Stender in Bulldozer
    Dave Rappach in Rap Attack
    Glenn Bowlin in Iron Warrior
    Andy Slifko in Eradicator
    Mark Schroeder in Devastator

    Jeff Bursey in Towasaurus Wrex
    John Seasock in Sudden Impact
    Pablo Huffaker in Grave Digger
    Don Borders in Mistress
    Rod Schmidt in Carolina Crusher
    Mike Dropik in Priority 1
    Rick Busca in Chicago Outlaw
    Bob Shea in Hyway Star
Please let me know if I missed anything or got anything trucks or drivers wrong.

I bet the reason why is because the show seemed like it was a independent show more than a monster jam show and if monster jam was to release any coverage of the show monster jam doesn't want to be embarrassed or it was do to licensing disagreement

    • @IlluminatorMTfan
      @IlluminatorMTfan Před 28 dny

Licensing agreements with who? Also, all-independent lineups were common in Monster Jam at the time. This was only during the beginning of Monster Jam’s own fleet being built, so there were still more independents than USHRA fleet trucks competing for the league during this period.
