- Dr. Kekhrie Yhome is the Hon'ble Advisor, School Education and SCERT, Govt. of Nagaland. Since his induction into the government as the Advisor for School Education & SCERT, he has claimed to have identified many loopholes in the department which are hindering the delivery of quality education.

If Dr, kekhrie yhome is reading this comment, I suggest u as u r young and educated person. That sir, for smooth and efficient functioning of education department, appointment of DEO/SDEO should be made direct in NPSC like other dept. EAC, SDO etc, as u mentioned seniority kills here. As the post of DEO/SDEO is given by promotion only at the verge of retirement.

I ones wrote an article in newspaper about that but the so called school education administration association such as DEO AND SDEO oppose my writes ups the next day .
But I feel that is very important ,in most of the dept it's 70:30....70percent on direct recruitment and 30percent on promotion. So if education dept does the same ,lots of improvement will be visible as most of the present SDEO or DEO are those who are old and one the verge of retirement.appointing the young ones may ensure to visit all the school which ever comes under his/her establishment or jurisdiction.

Mass exodus of students to schools in urban areas is due to poor performance of teachers, proxies and monetary adjustment with village leaders have also greatly affecting the down trending of schools in rural areas
I'm one of the unemployed Trained teachers who ones rejected the backdoor appointment thinking that fair recruitment would be conducted, but unfortunately that didnt happen till date after recruitment of SSA and RMSA 2011 and 2015 and even after fighting in the court for so long for fair recruitment by association, nothing was done under the leadership of previous advisor, luckly under Dr.kekhrie yhome some recruitment for GT post have been advertised and conducted fairly , Dr K.yhome gave us some ray of hope which we ones loss under KT sukhalu as advisor for school education, we belive under his leadership fair recruitment even for PT would be conducted sooner or later.
Never going to happen, he is same u should have taken the job when it was handed to you, he just sold 15+ post this year
If CM Rio has done one right things for the nagas ,that would be giving the Right portfolio to Dr.K.yhome who is the right person.

My humble request to our honourable advisor to not only focus on the teachers but also the ministerial staffs at Directorate, DEO, SDEO, etc. As heard from people, even the Directorate have excess employees. 😊

Sir.. 👏👏hopping to see everything change in our society.Very strict towards duty, books and uniform in time, schools first opening in time,salary in time,no fixed appointment ,adhoc teachers serving 10 years above should be look back, students are hungry of maths and science teachers specially in middle schools . Lastly, equal work hour, but very much difference in pay scale specially for fixed and adhoc teachers and no life line for family in future.Just by name Govt.employ in society.Im too adhoc primary teacher running 13 years in middle school, appeared for regularisation exam in the year 2015 still waiting for result declaration,hope one day the result will declare before pension.Sir, Almighty God will blessed your good plan.❤

Me as a teacher is very happy that TAMS( teachers attendance monitoring system)is being Implemented by the Govt. This way proxy teachers will be eliminated. Thank u to our hon'ble Advisor for the tremendous work & Sir if you happen to watch the comments, plz clear the NIOS D.El.ED marksheet 2014-16 batch of Primary Teachers, as still we've not received the marksheet. I was told from a reliable source the funds for our 2nd year was misappropriated by the department and for which we've not received the marksheet from NIOS Noida

Education department needs immediate Reformation. I have seen many schools in certain villages upgraded to Middle school and high school with no enrolment.Looking forward that under your able leadership we can witness changes in the school education department Sir yhome.
Hosa asey✌....Why parents are shifting their children to Private schools is the absence of teachers by providing proxy, no infrastructure, bura buri teachers who barely can read and write etc & etc.
Exactly. Instead Govt should upgrade existing ghs to ghss as many parents and students prefer govt institutions after their HSLC.
Primary teacher should be promoted to AEO and JEO as the service rules is already mentioned there in education department. But p/t is neglected till his superannuation.thats one of the great harassment to the one who moulded and watered the first step to knowledge of the child

Naga people need more elected representative like Dr.Kekhrie Yhome to revolutionised our Naga society from corruption and tribalism and think rationally for future generations..Robust health care and education system should be utmost priority for the govt..
Had the govt and dept Heads his predecessors worked sincerely we may not have 18 factions today.as most of the Naga army soldiers are high school or primary dropouts .
But Dr Kekhrie with vast knowledge and experience is trying his best to reform the Education dept.

Say In Police dept. some appointed constable retired in the rank of ASI/Inspector whereas UGT having Higher degree retired as Primary Teacher without any promotion.

Yes , as our honourable Adviser has stated related to Govt. Schools which are non performing /very less number of student's enrolment , the right step to solve cadre issue is to cancel those schools 👍 It will be so wise if all the genuine teaching staffs are regularly given salaries since teachers are Nation Builders 👍🙏

Sir yhome,it s better to dissolve all the government schools with less number of students so that the shortage of teachers will be solve by cutting down the unnecessary expenses to recruit more when there is enough teachers at present.

Govt. should introduce biometric attendance in all the department. Not just teachers but there are negligence of duty in almost all the departments. In districts some offices doesn't open even for a single day in a month everything is done at home from Dimapur & Kohima, just imagine.
Everyone including this MLA should take example from Delhi model of schools. If there is quality, quantity (enrollment) will be increase automatically.

For the Government schools' bad results, I largely blame the Teachers' negligence who don't teach the students from heart but only to get their monthly salary. I taught in the government school for 5 years and know the ground reality. When I first joined the school our HSLC result was below average. I did a case study in my school as to why the HSLC results were below average and found out that it was all because of the teachers' and parents' negligence So I set up the hostel on my end and forced them to Fellow the Study Routine strictly and at the same time guide them about the importance of education in one's life. And now We got a cent per cent result for the two consecutive years. Lastly, I'm no longer a teacher now.
So sad to learnt such a dedicated teachers left the job. I mean you might be having your own reason but I feel like the rest of the selfish greedy teacher either don't like your idea or may be the dept failing to acknowledge such dedicated teachers could be the outcome that you have to shift your job etc etc.
But I am sure God will reward you for sure.

in my village, one of the teacher did the same, he set up self funded hostel for the students and for the first time this particular high school were in the list in hslc exam.

We all know the useless things taught in schools and how irrelevant they are in real life. However, the private schools especially Catholic schools seems to be opposing saturdays as holiday. I studied in both Catholic and non Catholic schools and I know with absolutely clarity how saturday classes were held. The second Saturday and fourth saturday were considered holidays during my time. Our syllabus were much vast than it is today but we still manage to cover everything and get so much extra days for revision at the end of the year. Also, there used to be no proper class on first and third saturday because a lot of teachers and students doesn't attend school on those two days, usually half holidays. Tbh, my school was one of the best school in Nagaland back then but I would learn much more if I were homeschooled instead. The only thing I learned in school was basic maths ( substraction and addition) which I could easily learn at home. The English I learnt were/ are mostly self taught, never had a good english teacher. Simply put, the school teaches nothing of value at all, it only helps you with social interaction, social skills and similar things.
Why the heck are the private schools opposing 2 days off in a month? Why are these private administrators so against changes? I don't entirely oppose the idea of a school system in a given society but those meaningless syllabus with unnecessary subjects, need to be shortened down and made easy further.
If a student get promoted only after a year period, not only every saturday should be holidays but even their summer and winter break should be 3 months each so they can give their time to skill based training and other things relevant to life. Let the children live life to the fullest, they are not going to remember even 5% of what they were taught in schools when they grow up. They would only remember their school friends. Why ruin another person life when they can be productive at a young age?
To solve the problem, first we need to acknowledge the problem, then indentify the root cause of the problem and come up with solution which the honorable advisor does. I've high hopes that there will be change in the education dept and improve the plight of the teachers. May Christ give you strenght of Samson and the wisdom of Solomon.

Getting a mere salary especially fixed, Adhoc and contractual Teachers and posting them to far flung areas where there are shortage in every aspect, and expect these teachers to perform well are the highest form of torment and abuse. First Treat your employees well and then implement a plan to improve education sector. I believe Our Sir would reform Education sector in every way including Teachers grievances...
