  • Complete step by step guide to replace (remove and install) a Jeep CJ headlight. CJ5 (CJ-5) and CJ7 (CJ-7). I will show you the details!
Weather the headlights are standard or LED, the procedure is the same. The specific LED headlights used in this video are Beamnova QP002385. There are many brands with the same look. You just need 7” round LED headlights for a Jeep.
Also, these specific headlights come with two extra wires for a halo, which can illuminate white or Amber. I have the white spliced into my parking lights, and the amber spliced into my turn signals.

Thanks again for the video. It was a great help in making the decision. How are the LEDs fairing? Any tips for setting the angles. Unfortunately, my lights did not fit into the mounting plate due to depth so I had to take off all but about a 1.5" ring so it would fit properly into the mounting plate.

Thanks for comment! The specific model that I used are Beamnova QP002385. They were an eBay purchase a couple years ago. I just looked, and they are still currently available on eBay at this time for around $70.
There are many brands with the same look. You just need 7” round LED headlights for a Jeep. I see them range from $40 and up.
Also, these specific headlights come with two extra wires for a halo, which can illuminate white or Amber. I have the white spliced into my parking lights, and the amber spliced into my turn signals.
Let me know if you need any more information!

I have added this procedure to my list of how-to videos to make in the future.
For each headlight, I used 2 approximately 12” lengths of wire, 2 male spade crimp connectors, and 2 t-tap connectors. I built two wires, each with the male spade connector crimped on one end, and nothing on the other end. The headlight has two wires hanging out of the harness which both have a female spade connector; one is power for the amber halo light and the other is power for the white halo light.
The new wires with the male spade connectors connects to the harness wire with a female spade connector.
Then, I located the parking light power wire in the jeep harness and spliced it to the other new wire with the t-tap. I did the same thing for the turn signal wire in the harness, splicing it to the new wire with the T-tap.
The power wires were determined by using a multimeter.
      Do this for both headlights.
Another option is to not use the halo light at all. Just plug the LED right into the harness and the headlight will function as normal with low lights and high lights.
I know a text description isn’t the best. I hope this helped. And I will plan on making a video in the future.
If you would like any more detail, just let me know. It’s no problem at all. I am happy to help!

Just wondering if you were able to buy your trim pieces in black or if you just painted your chrome? Thanks.
