    YES. My teacher did not spend enough time on this. The concept isn't that hard when using the axes, but rotating around anything other that either axis is pretty difficult.

      im suffering through this rn bc of this same issue of it not being explained nearly thoroughly enough while also stacked ontop of 3 other new concepts

    what happens when the axis of rotation in this case y=3 is in the range of both functions? what if it wanted to rotate about y=3?

    Wouldnt the outer radius be 4 + the outer function? Since the function goes under the x axis?

      No, since you're finding the area between the two curves, or the difference. So it would be the top curve (y = 4) minus the bottom curve (x^2 - 2x)

      Yukii Hiro no he expanded 4-(x^2-2x) to get 4-x^2+2x
