One mistake Juve made was buying Ronaldo alone and expecting him to do everything on his own. Ronaldo was good but he was playing with Modric, Kroos and Casemiro. Pjanic, Matuidi and Bernadeschi was just a huge downgrade.
If you're ready to buy a forward like Ronaldo, be ready to also buy him quality support. I don't blame Ronaldo for not winning the UCL with them. He did the best he could with what he had.
Exactly, as soon as Ronaldo left, Juve *immediately* became a lot worse. There's a reason why there are 11 players in a team.
Nothing but facts 💯
Yeah, Juventus was on that "bullshit" of buying for cheap decent players that people with two eyes didn't like too much, or wouldn't fit in their football vision, and win a top weak Serie A. Imo they overachieved at times, but it was never enough and the transfer policy got way worse when they bought Ronaldo, who tbf was declining in ability already and was at the time a certified poacher, even tho he got a little better at creating for others in comparison to prior years. Don't know if it was a financial problem or just rest on his shoulders, but signing a way overrated Rabiot, Ramsey and etc is nothing for someone who openly wants to win the Champions League. It's still bonkers to me that Matuidi was never this creative force, he was a ball winning midfielder who was ok at best with the ball on his feet, and he was a lot of the times the guy creating things and going to the final third like has any business playing where's no space.
But Ronaldo dickriders claimed that he 'single-handedly' won Madrid 4 UCLs. Well we won UCL w/o him, yet he never saw another semifinal after leaving Madrid.
Sounds like an atlético fan
He was 34 and people were on his neck that he can't dribble, he's selfish but they forget he's one of the GOATS and he was by far the most prolific goalscorer in the history of the game .
And another thing about him that's scary is he delivers on his promises.
He didn’t win UCL with Juve like
He said
@@ayoo8782He would win if his team did act like football club instead of a goddamn multicontinental corporation. Everyone hated them because of logo changes, media speeches with tons of buzzwords etc. the team wasn't happy and left everything to Ronaldo. They couldn't find a good position for Dybala after Ronaldo came. Eventually he left to Roma. Bonucci was angry. Even Ronaldo's most famous footage while he is angry is with Juventus. "We are not playing good enough!" and team was still angry to him: " 'We' includes you too!" R:"I know, i'm including myself too!". Anothers teammate says to Ronaldo: "You have to be a role model.". Lol. How much soulless you can be? A literal NPC comment. And he should have been a team mate.
Also remember how much he was sad for leaving Real Madrid? He was searching his old happy days, he went to ManU because of this mentality- everything became worse. He even trained in Madrid after ManU, but they didn't buy him. So he went to Arabia and he looks finally relatively happy.
I don't know why this comment turned to an essay, but Ronaldo had a sad life after RM unlike Messi. Even his baby died, bruh. Then, he benched in World Cup because of Santos and Bruno? Why everyone is against this guy? Oh yes, because he is right. Right...
@@ayoo8782 Bro you're commenting on everything. Get a life
Maybe this is my portuguese bias speaking, but by far his most iconic performance was against Sweden in 2013: he scored an hat-trick to qualify Portugal to the 2014 World Cup. That performance, the goals, the celebration, the portuguese radio anouncer screams was and is more iconic than the game against Atletico Madrid
Shame that world cup was a disaster with him being injured and such.
That game was crazy good, he's the goat.
He clearly stated that he's talking about Ronaldo’s most iconic UCL performance. Why you talking about something else entirely unrelated with the topic at hand…🤷♂️
I remember watching that match. It was a heartbreak and a joy simultaneously for 9 year old me. Watching my favourite player dominate was a joy however it was against my own nation xD
And Zlatan, another legend, scored de 2 Sweden goals. Truly a battle of Titans. One of the best "mano a mano" matches in international football.
It's blasphemous how Atletico fans thought of provoking Ronaldo. By then, he had already reached the pinnacle of football history. You don't disrespect a legend like that.
Well they paid for it. A good rule of thumb is to not annoy possibly the greatest player ever when you have another leg the next week 😂
@@devanman7920 💯
Well there's a reason Atleti is a small club (mentally)
To me, Ronaldo's masterpiece was the 2nd of the 3-in-a-row Champions League triumphs. 10 goals in 5 games, all against elite teams, 3 of the games against historically great defenses.
i am a messi fan but u cant deny Ronaldo is mr Champions league
That's one of the reasons why CR7 is the 2nd best player of his generation. Definitely the 2nd best player after Messi when it comes to big games
@@ModernFootball866nah I think Ronaldo is the better player for bog games in comparison to messi, that’s why he has more club achievements than Messi but messi is better at single achievements just due to his messi talent
@@dimitryanyanwu7681 Messi is definitely better in big games and the stats are proving it. He is better everywhere except the UCL ro16 and UCL quarter finals. Messi also has better performances than CR7 against the 3-4 strongest teams in the world
@@ModernFootball866messi did nothing in the cl for years r
Ronaldo was always in and around the final
@@pisstakecentral The stats refute your statement.
I am talking about individual performance here, so don't bring the team success in the discussion
He was also excellent against Ajax in the 1/4 finals. Unfortunately, his team let him down.
His team was absolute dog shit. He gave them the lead in the first leg and his team bottled it into a draw (1-1). In second leg he again gave them a god damn lead, and surprise to no one, his team threw it away in a 2-1 loss. Istg, it was like juve expected him to single handedly carry them to the CL trophy. They used the back up keeper instead of signing a new one, their defense was 35 year old, and Bragzali was literally on his last season there. They had lost Dani, Pirlo, Pogba, literally every important player, and then they decided to re sign Bonnuci after already having sold them. They brought in an ex player with no managerial skill as their coach. The management on juve need to invest in some brains before they invest in their team.
jeez partey and rodri, thats one immense midfield
Simeone was onto something
Still remember that night. Unbelievable stuff. GOAT.
It was an honour to witness CR7 and LM10 play. Let’s forget their rivalry and enjoy there last few games ..
❤❤😊😊
Messi and Ronaldo are not enemies but made football more beautiful and enjoyable!!!🎉🎉🎉
I don't even understand why they're looked at as enemies. In real life they've said many times that they're good friends off the pitch and they respect each other. The "Pepsi" and "Penaldo" comments disgust me.
@@huzzzer6083they're definitely not good friends but definitely not enemies either. It's just that when you compete against someone for so long there will be an obvious friction between them.
But it's definitely not as bad that they will want to kill each other or say bad things about each other in the press. They're both civilized and like to keep it in the pitch.
He was, he is, he will... Ronaldo the GOAT🐐
Will be Ronaldo the GOAT
Atletico Madrid after the first leg thought they had Juventus and Ronaldo pinned down after destroying them however Ronaldo had other ideas and in Turin showed the world why he's Mr Champions League. If this performance doesn't show why Ronaldo is one of the greatest player in his generation then I don't know.
My Man Ronaldo proved that he can do that irrespective of the team . Real Madrid had everyone but juventus only had ronaldo with them. And this match is arguably one of the greatest comeback ever. Rodri, Partey, saul , koke are literally unbreakable along with godin and gimmenz made the task impossible but my man the goat proved that he is the king, he is Mr. Champions league
It was a great comeback, but calm down bro. CR7 is a legend and deserves respect, but he isn't even the best player of his own generation and there are better performances. It's still a great achievment for CR7 to be the 2nd best big game player and the 2nd best player of his generation
@@ModernFootball866He is the greatest champions league player ever and that's unquestionable
@@jehvanmontieth1292 I agree, but he isn't the best player of his generation or the best player in important games
@@ModernFootball866 Not of his generation but in important games he is the best. His knockout stage goals says it all.
@@jehvanmontieth1292 nope he is not he needs to prove himself in WC knockout stages for him to be the goat in important games
Man, you made it more and more and more dramatic. Appreciate it guys, excellent work 👏👏🙏
Thank you 🙌
I watched Messi's being a Cristiano fan. And it was ok, you know? But this one? My man, amazing I really feel IT
I had the exact same experience being a messi fan watching the messi vid
But this one is also great
I remember that game vividly, Spinazzola just ate arias alive the whole game, it was like they were two categories apart, and Emre Can played wonderfully in an unfamiliar position
Truly classic presentation. You create the essence and feel of what it must have been like in real time. Keep up the good work!! We watch these as a family in our household.
I had gut feeling before the game he will score a hat-trick and I watched it happen 🔥
Very nice video 🔥 hope there will be more from the incredible comeback matches of 18/19
Please make more of these they’re incredible!
Bro, i love this style of editing good vid, very entertained.
This goes to show you what genius he is people just say tap ins but real ones now there is so much more involved.
Superb analysis... Great
Can’t forget Atletico Madrid fans laughing at Cris in the first leg
Only fr him to own them in the second leg

masterpiece of a video bro
Make one about Barcelona 6-1 PSG
Barcelona's and individually Neymar's performance was great on that match!
How has this video not been made already?
Mr. UCL🔥🔥🔥
I love your content
As a Barca fan love your game analysis videos ❤
amazing analysis
Great Vid
Rarely Impressed by a CZcams Vidoe but WTF this was a 30 for 30!
I remember watching this match and tbh I feel like Bernardeschi played just as good as Ronaldo the whole night, he helped create so much havoc and subsequently created the final goal got fouled for the penalty), in my opinion that was also Cancelo's because he could play pretty much as a winger and not worry about defending
Great work but if u can please u help and analyse xabi's Leverkusen. Dat double pivot of paacios and xhaka both in build up and final third coz it's really performing well. But much love
This video is masterpiece!
Please analyse Liverpool 3-3 Ac Milan or other famous old matches
That celebration is still so funny to me like what was simeone trying to do lmao
I will never forget CR7s performance that night. 🐐
Unbelievable man
Atletico fans taunting the man that had scored so many on them was like whistling through a graveyard.
The GOAT 🐐❤
Where can I get the picture thats in the thumbnail of this video. The Icon image??
wow this intro so rad
One of the best UCL performances of all time, but there are better ones
💯. His performance again Juventus. The final in 2017. Or even against Wolfsburg in 2016 quarter finals where he scored a hatrick

What's the best UCL performance of all time in your opinion? (Only against big teams)
1. Messi vs Arsenal in 2010 Quarter Final
2. Messi vs United 2011 Final
3. Messi vs Bayern 2015 Semi Final
4. Messi vs Liverpool 2019 Semi Final
5. Messi vs Real Madrid 2011 Semi Final
6. Messi vs Bayern 2009 Quarter Final
7. Messi vs United 2019 Quarter Final
8. Messi vs Man City 2015 Ro16
@footballman10 Ronaldo vs Juventus 2017 final. Ronaldo vs Bayern. Ronaldo vs Atletico.
Just watch every single Ronaldo and Messi UCL match then you'll have your answer. Okay but seriously I do also think that notable matches are Neymar 16/17 vs PSG Home (R16), George Best in his 1968 (I think?) UCL winning campaign, Lewandowski 12/13 Semis vs Real Madrid Home, I know you said against big teams only but I couldn't resist putting Reus 12/13 Quarters against Malaga Home (one of my absolute favourite performances ever), a joint one here but Robben and Nani in the 09/10 Quarters (Robben ended up Victorious but Nani was electrifying and both were the best players in the champions league even if it was just for that respective day), Karl Heinz Riedle 1997 UCL Finals vs Juve, David Beckham 1999 UCL Semis vs Juve, another joint one but David Beckham and Ronaldo Nazario 02/03 Quarters (although R9 did have the much superior performance but Beckham was very notable in this one too), Ronaldinho 05/06 vs AC Milan in the Semis, Benni McCarthy vs Manchester United in 03/04 UCL R16 (a clear outlier but a personal favorite as well). And to top it off with what I crown the greatest UCL performance of all time, Steven Gerrard in the 05 UCL Final. Sure, not the most visually pleasing or dominating type of play you'll see but it perfectly encapsulated why Steven Gerrard was not just a great captain, but THE captain of a team that HE led back into the game after being 3 goals down by the half.
😂@@footballman10
5:09 Oh that's gonna be fun
Ronaldo and messi are both goats 🐐 ya messi has more trophies but that doesn't means ronaldo is not sharing the goat 🐐 title with him....
thank you so much proud to be a cr7 fan forever goosebumps always to watch his UCL comebacks miss him so much ❤😢
The greatest of all time🇵🇹🐐
He took it personally
I don't know if you're reading this please do a videos on dezerby to unite love from Tanzania ❤
The one thing Atleti done wrong was going personal with the Goat 🥶🥶
The goat
in 2019 and 2020, ronaldo carried juve in the knockouts, but in 2021 he wasnt great vs porto. but he will always be thye goat of the ucl knockouts. messi has no clutch hatricks in the ucl.
Let’s talk about how Dybala didn’t not perform at all and didn’t help Cris for shit. I wish it would of been lautaro instead of Dybala then he would of gone somewhere
IF juventus had been a little bolder with their manager acquisitions after signing Ronaldo, they would've won the UCL.
but for some reason they bet on people that were, lets just say, undercooked for UCL.
The greatest of ALL time! 🐐
He is the top assister in the UCL
He was at the time the 2nd
Owns them
this is just another answer to everyone who say Ronaldo just scored tap ins
it is called positioning
