Delta Plane Catches Fire After Landing in Seattle

  • On Monday, May 6, 2024, Delta Flight 604, with the call sign DAL six zero four, completed its journey from Cancun, Mexico (CUN), to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in Seattle, Washington. The flight arrived at its destination, landing at Gate A10 at 9:35 PM PDT, after departing Cancun and leavting Gate C14 earlier that day at 4:29 PM EST.
    However, shortly after landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and while at the gate, the aircraft caught fire. Passengers and flight crew safely evacuated and there were no injuries. NTSB IS INVESTIGATING THE CAUSE.

    What is happening in aviation travel today and these planes? I can hear the flight attendant briefing passengers on the evacuation slide at the rear of the plane "now remember how you used to go down the slide in elementary school?" lol

      Before that...why are why arent the ground crew using a fire extinguisher?? They are usually all over the tarmac!

    just wonder if anyone on the ground has heard of a fire exstinguisher . seems that could have been attacked from the ground quite quickly ???

      I believe it was an electric fire when they plugged in something to the plane.

    Amazingly (1) nobody called the fire trucks (2) passenger evacuation didn't start for a long time
