Rented one of these to drive from Omaha to Dallas for family reunion. I didn’t understand minivans but I do now. Sleeper because they are faster than you think. You can put 4x8 sheet in out of weather and never have to worry about how many passengers you have. Highly underrated but when I was on road trip you start noticing how many are actually out there. Another tip is not just for kids but for people taking care of seniors. Easier to get in and out if and plenty of room to stretch. Laugh as I blow away your Highlander at the stoplight.

You said it. I have always liked my cargo out of the weather elements. Never a rush to get home because of the rain vs a truck. These minivan have more horse power than the Mustang 5.0 back in the 90's stock.

I have a 2014 Sienna LE I've driven across the USA several times and I love this car. I'm an old man. It's powerful, economical and unbelievably comfortable, very, very easy to drive, even after 12 hours of driving in one day. It's almost exactly like this '20. Best car I ever bought. Got pinched in Montana for going 91 in an 80. I had no idea. Like riding on clouds.

I drove a sienna from Philadelphia to Ohio, about 800 miles and i was surprised how quick, nimble and comfortable to drive, oh i forgot, visibility is amazing and most suvs could not keep up with the V6 engine, so fun to drive. You will be surprise if you test drive one. People make fun of vans and they havent even drive one yet. I will definitely get a minivan when the family gets big

There's absolutely no competitor to a minivan when it comes to interior space. Minivan gives you the best interior space and utility. Even a full size V8 SUV doesn't come close to it and gives you a shitty 3rd row with 100k price tag. Minivans aren't cool, but practicality has no competitor

We have the 2011 Toyota Sienna for over 9 years now, and it is going to be 10 years in January 8, 2021 by then it would be just about 90,000 Kms and so far we have no issues or problems and have not fixed anything just the oil change every six months. Reliability is very good. It is probably not much money on trade in with the dealers. We are hoping to keep it at least 15 years or more to get every penny out of it from $55, 000 CAD.

I'm back. I haven't had time to watch and comment on your videos, but I usually tend to focus on the vehicles I prefer, or see something nice I like.
Unless I need 4 wheel drive, if I need the passenger, or more likely cargo capacity, I would take the Sienna hands down over a full sized SUV, or the other 2 vans mentioned. But I would get an SE, which I would imagine has a slightly more stiffer suspension. I am not sure if the Sienna comes in an XSE trim, but I know the SE with all the options is pretty much fully loaded. The Honda Odyssey is really nice, but the transmission is probably it's Achilles Heel more than anything, and I would not even consider the Chrysler or Dodge vsnd for reliability, durability, and longevity.
The Sienna has lots of power and pickup, and looks decently nice. Even better as an SE for me personal tastes.
I like the wheel and tire size, with enough with, and not too low profile tires.
The design and functionality, and seating and storage configuration is superb. Dies it also have another glovebox below the one you showed? I remember seeing something with two glove boxes, but don't recall what it was.
I really can't complain much about the dashboard controls and such. Two rear front seat map pockets, connectivity, even in the middle and rear seat area, and a CD player, USB and auxiliary audio input up front. Just no Android Auto, since you only mentioned Apple CarPlay. But I could live with that.
Otherwise, pretty much everything I would want and need. I would pass on the AWD, because I wouldn't need it here in Hawaii, less cost, complication, and maintenance and repair cost.

I have one it;s good but factory turanza runflat tires are hard and horrible, 20-30k miles and your done ($235 each retail for tire only). No spare. went with non run flats now good year assurance weather ready. there is also a good year touring. I just have a tow service good sam.
Rent one from toyota service if the have toyota rent a car. $50+/- from a big dealer. Best thing i did, rented from enterprise years ago a 2014 fwd, very nice. He said either the dodge or the sienna, plus his dodge kept going back for a check engine light 3 times. So I hopped into the toyota. Drove it for 2 weeks, (had no car after plymouth voyager died). Singed doucments (few days later) returned car, took cab to dealer and drove home! :)

I miss Siennas!! I had a great memory crisscrossing the US, from LA, Vegas, Lake Tahoe all the way to Orlando with one in my teens when I was in the US with a mk2 Sienna, just straight comfy, dependable, roomy and bulletproof (2GR baby)!! I wish someone made a miniature version of the sienna (the closest thing to a miniature sienna probably gonna be a Tomica Toyota mk3 previa), and I missed that car!! Toyota should release the new sienna next year.

The extra space on driver side rear is to hold the center second row seat. I always treated my Xle as a seven passenger. I owned a 2005 and 2015 both very comfortable for growing grandchildren.👍😀

For day/road trips for a family there's nothing better than a mini-van. Hard to beat the space, ride quality, and comfort, especially for the money. Too bad the anti-minivan stigma is so prevalent in the US. Also, I've read rumors of the next generation Sienna is going to go hybrid powertrain. Keep up the great work!

  • @Volvoamazon62

I drive a Ford Flex and that is specious and convenient, but if the price of the Sienna was the same, I would def go for that. But 30-40K euro for a 2020 model with 150k km's is a lot of money.

A refresh will be nice. I don't mind the prop rod for for the hood but I do totally hate the grill on every Toyata/Lexus vehicle. Good lord! Also, I have a major gripe with the skinny armrests up front. A wide armrest would make it feel more like an SUV. I enjoy your videos and I have a great appreciation for your humor. However, your videos make me hungry for some reason.
