    I've been using these ever since they came out, and I love them. Very well made and just as solid as the competitions.

      Totally agree! Now I just need to find a good travel luggage cart to help lug all of this stuff around at the airport haha

    Saw this case featured here on YT a few years back and gave it a try and I had the exact same experience with the stupid insert foam. Great info about the padding insert available on Amazon. Definitely gonna order that ASAP.

    I was glad to see those American Airline tags on your case... I'm flying AA this weekend and I wanted to be sure the 5800 was really carry on size. I haven't flown anywhere with gear for over 10 years.

    • @FrameVoyager
      @FrameVoyager  Před 7 měsíci

      Yeah I use these all the time on American flights! I would say, I use some tie cables to extra secure them in case the lid gets popped open. Extra security when traveling is a good idea

    Thats cool and all...I will have to check out that brand. What I would really like to know are some tips or experiences on getting through airport security with all your camera gear. I am flying to AZ soon to do some filming of snakes, scorpions and tarantulas in the desert and the most stressful part right now in my mind is getting all the gear through the security checkpoint.

    My local store was out of the Pelican 1510, so I took a shot on an SKB case. Absolutely love it. I've converted from Pelican for sure. I have to use a pick n pluck insert. I had a lens break one time on the inserts :/

    Thanks for this video. Was looking forward to it. I don't use Pelicases anymore though 😂 Seeing the vmount plat on top of the smallrig cage is a cool idea. Maybe I should try that as well. Do you use a follow focus on your Lumix lenses with their focus by wire?

    • @FrameVoyager
      @FrameVoyager  Před 3 lety

      Thanks! And for focus I usually just do it by hand and do t have any special set up. I like to keep things simple in my builds so less moving parts and connections the better.
