- Hey everyone! So now Teddy is basically fully grown and he's the biggest, maybe he will take on position of 'top dog'?? Well he will have to get past Niko first! Niko is our female but she is definitely Alpha in the household. These two love to play all the time now but Niko always has to put an end to it and assert dominance make sure Teddy is in check! Also a tiny bit more than just playing looks to be on the cards.... Naughty Niko... x

It definitely is. Especially the humping if she's spayed. I have seen it enough times and have asked a dog behaviorist and a trainer about it.

In male/female households, the female dog usually ends up being the dominant one.

Bob Talley & we shall need to wait and see, as even Teddy getting to be biggest boy of all, won't necessarily mean dominance over Princess Niko... our dear Philly Bear is not the dominant...at the end of the day, that title falls to Mister Milo Hahhah! :-)

When they stand over the other it is about dominance, who is going to be Alpha. There is always a pecking order and the younger will always test the limits to try and be #1, it's nature. But the cat will always be #1 LOL
Teddy can be a beast one minute then sweet and cuddles the next.

The growth of dogs will stop around the age of 10 months for small dogs, 12 months for medium dogs, 14 to 16 months for large dogs and 18 to 24 months for giant breeds.
Teddy belongs to the category of large dogs, or even more. He is seven months old, so he will continue to grow for at least another five months.
?? If Teddy is a 7 month old large dog, doesn’t that mean he will continue to grow for 7-9 more months? Yikes

If he is from the M'LOOT line he looks like he will possibly top out up to 200 pounds. My ZAR who is from the M'LOOT line is 195 pounds. At 16 months
he was 5'9" standing up. He is about 6' now. I have watched Teddy since he was brought home at 8 weeks and his growth pattern seems to be falling in the same way my ZAR'S
did. Teddy is a beautiful big boy and it will be interesting to watch him grow. I enjoy watching Phil, Nico and Teddy and tune in daily. And lets not forget Mia. Such a cutie.😊

My goodness, your boy's a giant! And I bet he's gorgeous too. The largest dog I've seen in person was an Irish Wolfhound. I knew they were big but when he stood up with his paws on his owner's shoulders I was shocked that he towered over him. Completely different build, of course, than the dogs we're talking about, but impressive. I've also seen a couple of huge Mastiffs. I've seldom seen Malamutes but would love to be around them more. They're so beautiful.
Like you, I love this channel..the people & their furry family members. I include Milo in that as I'm one of those people who loves both dogs & cats & have always had both. They all make life more interesting (& better).

Even though I am a dog person through and through I appreciate cats. I just don't want one. Also my dogs are Lancashire Heelers, a breed rare for the USA. Originated from Lancashire, England. Territory breed used for herding. Small, low to the ground and can get in there behind hooves without being knocked about. Also good ratters. 👍

Just googled them. Very cute but I'm sure much more than just cute. Working breeds like that must also have smarts & discipline.
It said they're considered a vulnerable breed. I hope there will eventually be more of them to change that.
Thanks for the info! I love learning about breeds I wasn't familiar with. I grew up with purebred American Cocker Spaniels (I'd love to one day have an English Cocker) but I've always done rescue work & my last dog was a large magnificent mutt that graced me with her presence for 16 years. They're all such wonderful gifts to us.💙

I recognize the same with both my dogs. I used to be scared of them hurting each other. Now i let them do what their natural instincts lead them to do. I am always around to make sure they do not hurt each other though. Your malamutes are just adorable ❤️❤️❤️

Baby Teddy is so big. Poor Princess Niko can barely keep up with the puppy, he is growing by leaps and bounds. They are striking. Majestic in a way. I love them.

Niko is the most balanced dog out of the pack. The jumping onto teddy is a sign of dominance. She nips at at teddy and Phil because they get too excited in play - even tho Philly Bear is pretty much chill most of the time. You gota watch The Dog Whisperer - Cesar Millan- he really knows dog psychology! He is amazing! But I do love Niko and Teddy’s play, so fun to watch. Thanks for making this channel it’s so nice to just to watch these dogs

Niko has a strategy for taking control of Teddy. I have 3 cats and a dog. The smallest of the bunch....my female cat has shown the boys of the house who is in charge. They all know their place....so Niko is the take charge female at your house. And Phil says "I don't need to get involved in that crazy stuff...I know who I am and can keep my peace happily."
