Actually, this all could have been slightly less stupid if the drone had simply flown straight to his brothers house in the beginning. Could have done a bunch of 'upgrades' immediately thereby making some of the crazy things like it's infinite power and wireless access slightly more believable. Could even have gone back again for the climax and got some seriously 'super' upgrades like machine guns and flame throwers!!! Then, have the protagonists acquire an improvised arsenal of their own as well as not be complete morons, in preparation for some epic urban warfare!
This is one of those movies that is so stupid, that being slightly less stupid would make it worse. The only possible reason to enjoy watching this movie is because of the stupidity.
Probably too expensive but I do get some Small Soldiers vibes from that idea. 🤔

This film has showed multiple times that it's not taking itself seriously. In most films, it'd annoy me, but in this one it just adds to the dumbfuckery that makes it so good to begin with.
Oh my god, so I watched this film, with my sister, called "Jurassic Expedition" hoping it would be a god awful dinosaur film and it... Well it's hard to describe. The film goes through about 5 different genres and takes itself so seriously and the graphics are terrible despite coming out in 2018... Just... It's amazingly bad. Please watch it! It turns out it's actually called "Alien Expedition" which makes more sense since there's like one model of dinosaur reused again and again and the cool one on the cover never shows up.

It's more of a homage
I don't know about that. Haunting via inanimate objects has always been a pretty common trope in horror, even before Child's Play. I think that's just one of the most prominent film examples.

the cut on rachels shirt was a reference to padme in star wars episode 2 when she got scratched
I really like the changes in the tropes here, especially with N. he could have easily been straight incompetent and whiny. but he's still a threat in a fight, if anything that makes me respect his personality despite the situation he knows he's in.
main character is a little more on the beaten path personality wise, but how they play together is both expected, but the changes to the tropes adds the unexpected twist which is why I liked it.
hope this continues it slaps, that cliff hanger ending is nice for the mystery build up!

There are titles like: "I got stuck in my ex's bathroom, I saw everything" or "I am allergic to air" or "I have no face" and this is only small part. There are many story animated channels with countless videos and "most" of the thumbnails and titles are clickbait. One thing is for sure, they are all cringe.

You reminded me of a project I made for my religion class where we had to make a video as if it was a religious channel broadcast. We had various segments, like a little documentary, a recreation of jesus' death on the cross and a news segment (all filmed in the same park at the same time of day with the same clothes, being my school's uniform). My teacher didn't care about it at all. He played it on windows media player and skipped random segments and this part, at least how I remember it, played out like that scene in toy story where the pig skips through channels. My teacher was skipping through our video and one of the things visible on screen was the news title "Jesus Christ informs us", which is what we named the news segment. He skipped it only to instantly regret it, went back to this segment, and then told us to go back to our seats. I don't think we ever asked or were told what grade we got.

I can't help but have a good laugh everytime I watch this with my girlfriend and friends, this movie is so random but at least it's not that boring, it's perfect to laugh your ass off when you need it!
I'd say if you make a few modification (like some of the worst dialogues and the scenes that make no sense... in the movie's context at least) and some more funny contents, this could become a fantastic and "serious" horror-parody; the idea of Rachel being deaf and not able to hear D. A. V. I. D. could be interesting (would fit even better in a serious movie) and I'd say to add a scene where both drones transform into mechas and start shooting and fighitng for real, that would sure be perfect for a parody.
