Nice consistency from your pack and you... Pitting in at very different times, and yet you slid into the same pack position! P.S.: same thing happened to me a while ago where I miscalculated the fuel and ended up stranded before the last corner on Sebring xD... At least you got to cross the finish line!

I always overfill by a lap in multi class. You never know when the race is going to end until it's too late.

I recommend using the CrewChief autofuel AND (the new) experimental fuel feature as it is much more reliable than both the built-in iRacing calculator and the older (i.e. default) CrewChief algorithm, especially for timed multiclass races where the number of laps depends on the pace of the fastest car on track. It'll also tell you very accurately about when the pit window opens so you can start thinking about the undercut. Every 2L of fuel saves you a second in the pits (for the Porsche, your mileage may vary) so absolutely nailing it is worth track position. It's even more accurate if you record pit stop benchmarks in practice, but always errs on the side of caution if he's not sure. You can tweak the margins according to your personal risk profile, it's pretty conservative by default.

@@davecamm did you notice Jim telling you your tyre wear (worst front and worst rear) when you came in to the pits? That's a new feature. If your wear is very low he swaps to giving temps, which is ideal for superspeedway ovals. Your Mustang dash gives you temps, but not all cars have it (and iRacing doesn't share the data over the telemetry so Jim can't see it).

Watch ya..... you looked at Garage61 yet... can analyse your lap/throttle/brake etc in there too against the lap record holders (or anyone running it). Loving the content 🙂
i find its high 45s low 46s and expect to spin at least once coming out the hairpin onto the banking or low 47s high 46s and the car is rock stable as long as your patient getting on the throttle
hopefully they update the windshield banner. at le mans it was way small

Great race Dave! How do you like mustang so far? I struggle with it, feels so heavy on the front, around Missano almost 0.5s slower then when I am in Porsche, sad cause it looks absolutely amazing 😁.
I have an issue with the last update. After the update is done it keeps validating over and over. What’s wrong with that guys ?

Ey Dave! In your expert opinion, which one is more manageable to drive and be more consistent ,mustang or Lambo? I own both but just gathering opinions before investing time which car to focus on lol. I find to be faster by .8 on the lambo but maybe set up would change that? Never raced in the open series yet.
I would say the Mustang is easier to drive but the lamp is much more agile 👍
do you, to, run 55+bb to warm the fronts or is that a fluke that it stayed at 56? (Trying to learn and understand the GT3s better)
It's just to make the car a little more stable when turning in when braking. If it was a heavy straight line braking zone it'd be much lower 👍
Funny how Nils also underfueled. Luckily for you everyone lower than P5 was already done and a lap behind compared to you thanks to the GTP.

I drove the Ford in the fixed Fanatec GT3 Challenge its handled this track pretty well. started p13 and finished 6th

This is why I don't trust race labs lately. It glitches way too much. I have to keep checking the black boxes for remaining time and positions

Your pace is good, I can’t find that performance with my current setup. Other than driver technique, could you do a vid about dialing in your FOV. Having had triples and then going to a single screen ( which I Have),you have great knowledge on the subject. I feel I’m not getting the most out of my inputs. That would be greatly appreciated.

44:30 - Disagree with the "naughty" evaluation Dave. If you bring your politics into everyone's escapism hobby, you're going to charge people up in the wrong way. I never see any "MAGA" paint schemes, but I sure see a lot of "Pride" paint schemes. Racers should leave their activism at the door. Respectful racers do just that, activists just can't seem to help themselves.
