Just about every time you see Krist he seemed so happy, like "I am totally in an awesome band, with my best friend, and we rock."
Well, they do rock pretty hard
Always dancing. 😂
Look at Pat enjoying life. 😂
its sad but at the same time its way more just great.
Sad really cuz now everytime you see him he just seems like a shell of his old self.

yes. Only a couple of decent tracks. no where near as good as Nevermind.
Kurt looking like he wants to get over with it as fast as possible. When the passion and will isn't there anymore life is lost...
This song is like the antithesis of Smells like teen spirit. From the first line "teenage angst has paid of well, now I'm old and bored", to the chorus (which is very nostalgic and all against the usual formula that they used mostly in the nevermind era). Also considering the fact that this is their opening song for In utero.

Personally, I think Kurt would have had a lot of fun retired, raising Bean, and owning a music store with records and cd sales to this day, cassette and 8 track too. He would be that guy at this point, only playing for charity he believes in, I truly believe this.
With Kristen Pfaff as Frances's lovely stepmom.
i often wonder what music he would have gone on to make...
I wish Kurt could have lived at peace. Krist said in a interview that Kurt could have done anything that he wanted and “should have never done that [ending his life]”. Maybe Kurt could have been happy out of the spotlight. It’s tough to know. I just hope he’s at peace
IICR, Kurt Cobain planned on retiring in late 1994/early 1995 after a last tour and album. He also wanted to live quietly and raise his daughter, possibly occassionaly releasing solo albums for fun on his own time. That's what I remember from dial-up internet in the mid/late 90s when I was researching into his death.

Krist is always smiling and is having the greatest time of his life playing the bass. I must've been traumatic to him and Grohl that he passed away...
Not to mention Pat Smear... That dude can't believe it's not a dream

Back then Krist was always goofing around and making a fool out of himself (in a good way of course). Oh, and he would never shut the hell up haha, which is why we love him. You look at him now though and he's always extremely quiet and just looks tired and down the whole time. Not to mention he hasn't aged very well either. I think Kurt's death really hurt Krist a lot more than a lot of us even think it did. That must have hit him really really hard.

it's sad to see kurt perform so static, all energy he had back in the late 80s early 90s was absolutely gone, also is sad that Pat Smear had joined Nirvana around 93 i wish he could have been more time with the band, and is so damn frustrating that mental diseases are now a thing, almost 30 years after Kurt passed away, he was treated many times for his "addictions" but nobody never tried to reach him to get to the bottom of the matter, what was on his head, because addictions or substance abuse are a consequence, mostly people evade themselves from traumas, bad time in life, job stress and so on, maybe if Kurt was treated for whatever was hurting him inside, drugs won't have been a thing and Nirvana would still be alive today with Kurt Cobain having a normal life
Exactly, it clearly wasn't just drugs
Probably so. It's a tragedy that a few others self destructed recently in this day and age though. Cornel, Bennington, O'riordan , to name a few.
Trouble is, if a person doesn't speak, then no one can help.. On the flip side, people speak and others don't help. Drugs are the worst thing ever if you are not mentally stable, I can speak from experience. Make you feel great when you are on them, when you're back sober you feel worse than you did before. Vicious circle.

takes me back to an angry confused teenager in the mid 1990's in America. Where Nirvana was my guiding light thru everything. Its funny years later i look back and watch these Nirvana shows and hear the music and find truth in it all, it defines me as a person then and now. Long live Kurt and Nirvana. bring the 90s back please.
Kurt along with the entire band from Nirvana changed the music industry from what it was back in the late 80's,to what we liked and supported in the early 1990's. We quickly went from,"JUMP" from David Lee Roth and Van Halen to,"Smells like Teen Spirit" Nirvana over night. It quickly changed the music sceen from long hair garage rock bands to Seattle new wave Grunge rock bands. It was a generational change that flipped the music industry completely around and if your band was from Seattle and your music was Grunge/Alternative rock you could make a huge name for yourself. All the band's we seen come from Seattle in the late 80's/ early 90's like Nirvana,Pearl Jam,Soundgarden,Alice in Chains all changed the music industry back then. But it was Nirvana first who received all the recognition and changed music as we knew it back then. It was amazing to see that's for sure. I love all those bands and listen to them each and every day.

lol thank you so much for that comment people are downers! They can’t just enjoy the song...or his gorgeous hair...or the fact he is wearing (as always) layers of clothing
HAHAHAHAHAHA
This song is easily top 5 Nirvana for me it’s so underrated
Kurt's hair is so clean!
that true... much clean... wow... hairy much
It didn`t happen too often, though ;-)
'I tried hard to have a father but instead I had a dad'
Damn, that line gives me goosebumps
What does it mean?
@@jonbon1995 i'm not even sure kurt knew what it meant
I think it means that Kurt’s dad wasn’t around and/or emotionally available enough growing up as he’d imagine the position of a perfect “father” typically produces. That’s what makes the most sense to me considering the following lyrics are, “i just want you to know that i don’t hate you anymore” as if he’s forgiving his dad for not being perfect. But then again Kurt was a story teller who liked to incorporate other people’s stories/fictional stories into his lyrics. Maybe he just thought those lyrics were cool sounding & relatable for others
@@JAWMSY I agree with you, bruh.
@@jonbon1995 that other guy summed it up pretty good... if you read the come as you are book, the author breaks down every song with Kurt, and with this he wanted a father that appreciated what he did and was good at, and encouraged him on...instead his father was upset Kurt didn't like football, hunting etc...and would actually tank wrestling matches to piss his father off.....so he is kinda apologizing for all the shit he gave him before he left and lived on his own
The style, the place, kurt's vocall, is all beauty.
OMG...His Eyes 🥺
Like someone else said, whenever I see “1994” on a Nirvana video I get so fucking bummed out.. Kurt, you are missed every single day. You DEF didn’t die & wasn’t missed! (like almost all of us, history will not remember my name when my clock runs out..) But history will never forget you Kurt. I’m 30, battling very similar demons with addiction etc, & it blows my mind to think you were 3+ years younger than myself when you passed. You accomplished so much in those 27 years.. RIP to the greatest grunge musician to ever play..
Kurt's guitar solo is incredible
Krist looks like he's having the time of his life. On the contrary Kurt looks like he doesn't want to be there.
bass tone is sick on this one
