I wonder if I could replace the Cheerios with some Magic Spoon cereal?
@@alexp601 Of course u can! You'll have much less Carbs, but more expensive in the long run. One Box of this cereal is $9.99 at Target.
@@maxiesky9594 Thanks! Yeah definitely more expensive, but I currently have some magic spoon and don’t have cheerios. So I might give this a try :)
For those who wants the higher volume at lower calories, or just want to use something other than cheerios, I would highly recommend using Organic Puffed Rice.
You'll get the same crunch as cheerios, but it'll be from a single ingredient.
1.5 cups of cheerios 140 calories
2.5 cups of organic puffed rice ~about 150 calories.
Enjoy and Stay Healthy :)
Solid tip but puffed rice might get soggier
I’ve tried a protein bar with puffed rice and it gets chewy. It didn’t retain any crunch and it the rice had the texture of packing peanuts
I might try using pea protein crisps or whey isolate protein puffs. Hopefully they taste good.
Man, can you imagine living in a country where you can’t buy sugarfree maple syrup in stores? I can, I live this nightmare… For real, I’ll have to make my own to try this epic recipe 🤣
Same here
You can buy it online easily enough
Noo sounds like a nightmare fr. Fly to the US and I’ll hook you up with sf syrup
I get my sf syrup online from bulk powders
Sugarfree maple syrup ?... What do they sell you as maple syrup exactly ? What do you think maple syrup actually is ?
thank you father rahul for delivering us yet another great content- seriously you’re so creative and underrated. I’m always looking forward to your new videos! please make more vlogs/ lifestyle tips!❤
Thank you so much and I’m down to make some vlogs!
bro casually dropped this gem of a video, these jawns came out S tier fr. gotta do some more protein bar joints
Appreciate you fr and I got you with more coming 🫡
I'm so glad I discovered your channel! I have a major sweet tooth so always looking for sweet treats that fit my macros! I just made this, took 10 minutes, so easy and the macros are perfect for my goal! You're a legend, Rahul!
Lets goooo!! I’m so glad you enjoyed bro
I actually started drinking the sf syrup after seeing you doing it so boldly 😂
Glad to see you gettin hydrated 🫡
I've never seen a powdered peanuts nor sugar free maple syrup in Poland. Unfortunately for this video, people have totally different tastes here. If I were trying to recreate this recipe I would have to find alternatives. Anyway, this looks great, thanks and have a healthy life.
Peanut butter isn't popular outside of U.S so it makes sense. Honestly sugar free stuff is mostly available in the west, never seen many options anywhere else
Drink the darn syrup !

For me, it’s gotta be Quest and Built bars (along with basically all other Quest and Built products). The macros, the flavours, and the texture - oooh, it all hits the spot 😋
I like quest but I’ve yet to try built
Always looking for new protein bar recipes! I can't wait to try out this recipe!
Enjoy my man!
Gonna have to say Quest! Amazed at how they taste despite their macros. Also, these are the protein bars my office has so I grab a month's worth every time I go. 👀
Quest is one of my favs too
I just stumbled across this and omg you are a life saver. Every homemade protein bar recipe is so high calorie and relatively low in protein. I'm so hype to try this, keep up the good work 👍
Lets goo!! Hope you enjoy and keep me posted!
Barebells the new ones, the solid color ones, yellow is caramel fudge (mars bar) orange is peanut something (snickers) then they new green one banana choco is amazing. they just came out with a black one that's rasberry liqorice, i'm not so sure about that one i haven't tried it and kinda don't want to
I’ve tried barebells and it’s quite good but I believe they’re like $3 a bar
barebells is the bomb! but true quite pricey, cant have them toooo often
I want to see a low calorie condiment series
I’m so down to do this
I got a question.
PB2 and similar products (powdered peanut butter) are ridiculously expensive, at least in my part of the world. But in fact it's just powdered peanuts with maybe some sugar and salt added, whereas most of the fat was removed, isn't it? There shouldn't be much of a difference to "peanut flour". At least that's what I thought. But when I bought high quality) "peanut flour", it was a disaster. It took like 3 or more times the amount of water before it became a "spreadable consistency", I really can't call it creamy. It was griddy and pretty disgusting, even if the taste was "okay-ish".
So, there has to be some kind of difference between powdered peanutbutter (PB2, PB Fit, ...) and regular peanut flour.
Interesting, some differences might be how long they roast the peanuts for, the sugar and salt that’s added, and the percentage of fat removed from the peanut flour
AHH QUEST SMORES IS SOOOO GOOOD 😭😭😭😭
Robert irvines big fit crunch!! 😋😋😋
Solid bar for sure but kinda small
Great recipe never thought of using cheerios! Thanks, Rahul!
Note to self: Ask if someone likes Quest protein bars before getting on the elliptical next to them! 🤭
😂
A family member bought me surreal protein cereal, think I could use that? Boost the protein? All flavors are all shaped like cheerios, the 4 flavors are frosted, Cinnamon, chocolate & peanut Butter
You could def use that
a couple seconds in and it looks so good! Also, I've been making the peanut butter overnight oats and it's delicious (:
Glad you’re enjoying the pboo!
one of my favorite recipes too! i usually make it in batches of 3 servings at least once a week
Drink the syrup. Just drink the sugar free maple syrup. It’s way less calories than a beer.
Interesting trick, to microwave the Pb2. Now, to increase the protein, I use gelatine (Knox unflavored) and wheat puffs, not Honey Smacks, but the cheap unflavored stuff in the plastic bags, the reason for the gelatine. I toss them first in the gelatine, microwave a couple seconds, mix the syrup-protein batter, flatten, microwave, and weight down to cool. But I’m betting your recipe is cheaper and easier!
I’m drinkin it and that sounds real good! I wanna try adding gelatin to these bars
Chocolate whey is disgusting from my protein nor is it cheap anymore in the UK . They changed the recipe and now it's not as good either
Really? I find it good still but it has gotten more expensive in the past 6ish months
@@RahulKamat it might be due to location but allot of people here have had the same issue. The price of whey has gone up by at least 200%, where it is more cost effective to get things like optimum nutrition as it tastes slightly better for 2-5$ more
using this recipe with magic spoon cereal would be crazy
Macros would be crazy fr
I do a simpler (and less healthy version) of this with 1 large caramel (or chocolate) rice cake (60 cal) and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. It's sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Also you've heard of bullet proof coffee? I do protein coffee by substituting powered creamer with protein powder.
That sounds tasty and I’ve heard of but have never tried bullet proof coffee
Great idea to save some $$$! Costco stock will go down!😀😀
Hahahaha we comin for costco now 😤
Pro tip! Microwave the Kirkland bar for 10 seconds. It changes the whole texture and makes it amazing!
I’ve done that before! Gets soft and melty
Saved and downloaded 🙌 👌 can't wait to try it.
Next one should be one that we can carry with us outside, without it melting or sticking !!! That would be amaziiiiiing
I got you! I’m down to do a portable protein bar
Built Bar had a limited edition one at Christmas that was bomb. Mostly I love LARA bars because of the ingredients
I’ve never tried built bar! I wanna
Also cereal first then milk
Nope that’s wrong!!!
The other way makes no sense. Cereal in and then let the milk love it and you know exactly how much you need
Our attachment to food, and life is very big. Like a wild thing or a simbiotic sort of mental projection
Fr 🤝
Doing this with that catalina keto cereal. I mean... it isn't saving money, but I love the cinnamon toast crunch stuff they make lol
That’d add more protein and it should still be cheaper than buying protein bars
@@RahulKamat I will report back with my findings. Luckily I do have most of the stuff on hand. Your recipes have really helped me hit my macros easily. So really appreciate your content!
Can’t wait to hear how it goes! Thank you that means so much to me. Appreciate you 🙏
@@RahulKamat So I just made these finally. I changed it a bit because I didn't have powdered peanut or the whey... But I used my protein powder. Quest vanilla shake flavor, 2 scoops, Dark chocolate caocao, a little bit more syrup than what you used and 4 servings of the catalina honey graham. It is so hard to just not eat this stuff before putting it in the freezer. It's so delicious.
Costco protein bar gang, never met another soul who liked them but they taste good and are very filling. Other protein bars don’t slow me down at all when I’m ravenous
Me and you think alike fr 🫡
@@RahulKamat forgot to mention, another banger of a recipe! Don’t know how you manage to continue to innovate
They taste great and I can afford them!!
omg doing this right now, love your content!!🫶🫶🫶
Enjoy!!!
I thought it was gross but funny when I saw you drink the syrup. Anyone that can’t enjoy your weirdness or humor is just trying to find a reason to hate… do what you want. Those bars look good. I’m not sure if cheerios are non gmo but there are healthy versions that can be used as well. I also like quest bars but only eat them when desperate. Thanks for the idea.
Imma keep on drinkin the syrup 😎
@@RahulKamat 😆
Best macros and best taste is Built Bar
I’ve never tried
I just discovered your channel and I can't explain how much your videos are going to help me get through my cut. I don't know how to cook at all so I just stick to eating the same things pretty much every day which makes it way harder. Thank you so much !!
You don’t know how happy this makes me! Thank youuu
I use this mixture of peanut powder/whey/cocoa/sweetener and a bit of water as a chocolate spread (nutella) alternative, really nice on sourdough 😋 love your channell bro!
Woah that sounds good dude
NuGo Free is my fave but it’s more like a healthier granola bar bc only 11g protein
Never heard of it before
this guy makes the best protein stuff but never looks like hes touched a weight in his life xD
honey combs
fruity pebbles
coco puffs
I made it but replaced that weird brown bottle of goop with honey! It was so good!
No clue what "sugar free syrup is" but the honey flavor was delicious!
Lets go!! Lmk how it is with oats! I bet chewy choc pb oatmeal cookie vibes
Honey is not low carb. Honey spikes blood sugars. Honey may taste delicious but it's not a good option...for much of anything. Maybe external use as an antiseptic.
@@lindajam8202 Someone didn't get the joke XD
Rice krispies are also 140 calories for 1.5 cups
Catalina crunch. It's keto. Try using that instead of cheerios. It's very good. I like the cinnamon crunch. Try it!
That’d add even more protein!
You could use half of the Cheerios to make the "bed" for the protein bar
Peanut butter captain crunch was my favorite. Btw I like how you include links to products..thanks.
I would just slab that chocolate paste onto weekbix and eat it 😁
young goat Ong
🙏🙏🙏
Power crunch for sure is my fav
I’m a fan! Very tasty
Reese’s Puffs slaps, but addicting as all heck. After that my folks started buying Honey Bunches of Oats, which was considered to be the “adult” cereal. Starts out fine … Corn flakes + cinnamon flakes … then let’s dump in frosted flakes, honey coated flakes and granola bits for good measure 😂
I’ll have to make these bars tonight to put my nekkid cheerios to good use!
Idk if I’ve ever had honey bunches but reeses puffs are too good
Barebells are the best protein bars. I question your decision making if you really think Kirkland bars are the best. They’re cheap, but not that great…
Agree
Barebells chocolate dough is incredible
1.99 at trader joe
Barbell protein bars at mid at best
I question my decision making on why I like kirkland more than barebells too, but I’m standing my ground 🫡
@Rahul Kamat don't worry Kamat, the kirland is better anyway. And alot less money.
The cinnamon bun and the peanut butter are good, but the chocolate ones are pretty meh.
MetRx bars are delicious and so are the Gatorade bars.
The gatorade ones are fr candy bars, feel like it’s equivalent to eating some reeses or any candy bar with a protein shake
Gonna try these this weekend!
Enjoy! Keep me posted!
I love the GNC girls scout protein bars🥰
Woah those sound good I wanna try
Barebells or Built Cookies and Cream my favorite.
Hi Rahul, love your recipes. Did you ever show the rice crispy PSYLLIUM husk protein bar recipe? I can't find it anywhere and would love to make it! Thanks!
Kirkland bars are my second favorite, but Barebells are my number one! So good, they have them at Trader Joes
Kirkland > barebells for me but I think this is an unpopular opinion
i dont have a favorite, however i really love wheetabix and i have it with honey or golden syrup, chocolate pillows, chocolate hoops, cheerios, literally most cereals are delish!!!
Rahul Kamat: King of the double entendre...🤣
Awesome recipe. I put my milk in first too! And have been made fun my whole life. Maybe it’s an Indian thing?
Favorite cereal is Apple Jacks and Cap’n Crunch.
Also
Amazing - thanks! Do you think you could figure out how to make something similar to the Built Puff Bars? I love that they are fluffy and chewy on the inside but not so chewy that they are impossible to eat like the quest bars. They also don’t leave that metallic aftertaste like most protein bars.
Ps I am wondering if your marshmallows might be a good replacement for the fluff. But how to add some more protein? Would the marshmallow coat well in chocolate, or would the warm chocolate melt the marshmallow?
FYI Built Puff bars have 17grams protein and are 140 calories.
I’ve never tried a built bar before so I think I’d have to try it out and see what it’s like. I’ve heard good things and they look real good. Also, you could try adding a scoop of protein powder into the marshmallows once they get whipped up
@@RahulKamat wow! I’m totally going to have to try mixing protein powder into marshmallow fluff. Thanks!!
Hey I have a suggestion! You should drink the sugar free maple syrup! It's really good 🤣
Done 🫡
This would be an amazing crispy base layer for a layered cake too
Woah yeahhh
cinnamon toast crunch, honey smacks, corn pops; in that order.
Ridiculous! Those are all bad cereals. Where the reeses puffs at
He said don’t be a kumquat 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fr don’t be one
@@RahulKamat 👍😂
this man is conjuring new food items on the daily
For the greater good 🫡
Great video as always. As much as I like kirkland and quest bars, imo barabells protein bars are by far the best
Fr I like kirkland and quest more butttt I’m def in the minority
@@RahulKamat nothing wrong with that bud
Grenade protein bars are amazing, especially the Salted Caramel Choco chip one. Its unreal
I’ve never tried but I wanna
I only buy log cabin sugar free maple syrup. I've tried others and now I'm picky about my maple syrup lol. Love maple syrup. Add it to damn near everything. Thinking about making sweet carrot with it to replace sweet potato
I’ve never tried their syrup but maple grove is my fav
love it, however it looks like it'd be tough to take with on the go like for work or something considering the stickiness of the whey
Yeahhh I think subbing for a whey casein blend could help make this portable
As you say, I'm afraid they're not handy to be carried to your workplace, unless you have a fridge there.
A good option anyway while commuting to work if you're in a rush.
Thanks for the recipe
@@juanalbeniz5525 yeah even commuting in a rush they could be messy, but the key would be to have parchment paper as the covering. or maybe taking them from frozen
barbell protein bar. once you tryit there is no going back. thans for the video-gonna try it out!
I’ve tried it and it’s pretty good. Def tastes like a candy bar
Anabar makes great protein bars... chocolate peanut butter and smores
Barbell protein bars hit different for real
They’re good but kirkland hit diff
You should try protein puffs like the ones Promix makes instead of cereal if you want to keep it lower carb.
I’ve never tried those but that sounds cool!
I like the pure protein brand of bars, cheap and tasty
I haven’t had in years
You crack me up. They look yummy. I'm super low carb so I can't eat them sadly.
Low carb cereal?
@@RahulKamat I'm keto carnivore. So I eat lots of fat etc. I need to make your marshmallows. They look so yum. 😊😋
Keep me posted if you try them out!
@@RahulKamat I shall 😊
I can't have most artificial sweeteners so the sugar free syrup sweetener is not going to work. I'll probably have to try adding some sort of sweet fruit powder to this or something (like strawberries or bananas).
Editing to add my favorite cereals:
I'm a weirdo for this, I know. Raisin Bran is probably my #1. Golden Grahams and Cocoa puffs are after that.
If you want a higher protein/calorie ratio you can use the premier protein almond chocolate cereal instead of cheerios
Hey Rahul!! I just want to say I absolutely love your channel and follow a lot of the things that you create but I wanted to know have you ever tried Lankato drinking chocolate? 4 tablespoons is only 15 cal but it’s so good you only need 2 tablespoons trust me! You can buy it at sprouts!! I make my low-calorie ice cream using ice cubes 2 tablespoons of Lankato powder, banana cream flavored drops and Stevia flavored chocolate drops, OMG it is amazing!!
I’ve never tried it but I like hot chocolate so I bet I’d like it!
I'm amused anyone would thinking drinking sugar free maple syrup is bad for a diet. That stuff is insanely low calorie. 😂
Fave protein bars are for sure Quest crispy ones the cookies and cream specifically
Ooh I’ve never tried those
Quest are good. Grenade Oreo is really good.
Where do you buy the Impact Protein Powder? The cheapest I can find it is a little over a dollar per once which makes it over a dollar per two bars, not $.48!
From MyProtein. I buy the big 11lb bag in bulk and there are plenty of discount codes online that reduce the price significantly us.myprotein.com/referrals.list?applyCode=RS5-R1
Kirkland Brownie protein bar.
I know magic spoon tastes like ass, but I wonder how they would hold up in this recipe. Also it would definitely boost the protein amount!
Gonna try this out.
(of course its gonna make it more expensive, but overall cheaper than the protein bars i like LOL)
I think it would work and it’ll increase the protein content significantly
CAN I REPLACE THIS WITH REAL HONEY OR REAL MAPLE SYRUP?
I totally drink syrup.
That’s what I like to hear
Honey is wayy more calories anyways. even more than regular maple syrup
I am whey sensitive....would vegan protein work? How would i adjust the recipe as this looks soo good
You've lost how much weight and they can't trust you on syrup?
Ridiculous let me have my syrup
can you/ do you have a low calorie "dry cereal" recipe for snacking ie friut loops, cheerios, frosted flakes etc
I’m down! That sounds fun to do
Finally someone who thinks the way I do, for every 10 calories I need atleast 1g protein.
Right! That’s what makes a good protein bar
Best cereal for me was actually honey nut Chex. I know. I’m weird.
Woah def not one of my favs haha
Good job!!
Thank you!
Don't have a Costco here so I've never tried the OG bars. Might have to order off Amazon or something.
They’re my favorite but keep your expectations low lol. I seem to be the exception for liking those bars
Magic Spoon cereal would probably be more nutritious than Cheerios, definitely less carbs and more protein.
And hell no, milk in the bowl ruins cereal to me. Milk must be a chaser on the side for maximum crunch 😋
P.S. my favorite protein bar is Robert Irvine Fit Crunch peanut butter jelly. My favorite cereal is Count Chocula!
Another great recipe!
🕺🙌🕺
What is the difference between soy and whey proteins. I am not a weight lifter, just need to loose weight.
They have different amino acid profiles and whey is known to be better for muscle growth, but they also have different properties in recipes. Whey rises more and dries out when baked. Soy is thicker and holds onto more water. Both of them are pretty much equally good for weight loss
Nice great bar recipe!
BUILT bARS !! Especially BUILT PUFFS. Especially churro and maple glazed donut flavours
I’ve never tried but I wanna!
