Nice idea, I had the same problem, so I made up a pair of plates that are about 3" longer than the original vice. They've got a spreader screw at one end that you adjust to the width of the part, then clamp it in the vice with the part nipped between them. They work OK, but it sometimes feels like I need three hands to quickly get it setup accurately. I'm liking your solution, but I guess that if you ever need to cut a 45' angles you'll have to remove the second vice. I mainly use my little bandsaw for chopping things like angle iron for frameworks, and use it quite a bit for 45' cut's, but In a purely engineering environment I suppose true 90' cut's are more the norm.
The vise is easily detachable. Yes, I rarely need 45° or other angles. Each time I reset the saw to 90° i make some cuts to check the actual angle and correct it if necessary. Thanks for commenting. Greetings.
Right on dude! Nice build and nice music to go along with it. I dig it! The more I get into making my own things I know I am going to need something like this in the future. I look forward to checking out more of your videos. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely brilliant solution. The bandsaw is wonderful, but the vise which comes with it is crap (mine has the vise where the jaw swivels, so I can only cut mrager parts than most of these bandsaws. I will put a second vise on mine as per you. Many thanks.
Very nice upgrade to the bandsaw 👍

Brilliant!
Useful accessories, thanks for sharing. At 2.27 I heard „Scheisse“.
Howdy! I have often wondered what are you going to use the lathe for? Take care my friend and stay healthy!
Yea that is a good idea...
