What an interesting, compelling character he was. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was one of a kind. I will miss him.
I’m reading his book right now on his beloved cat Masha. I got it for Mother’s Day. I’m so saddened by his death but he’s with his beloved cats now. I’m so glad this video was made when his house was finished , showing him in good health and Suski. Thank you
The Alienist is one of the best books I've ever read. Rest in peace, Mr. Carr.
RIP. His words here ripple from 2005 with a level of sanity sorely lacking in the present.
Caleb Carr, passed away 05/24/2024. Rest well.
Oh dear. Not unexpected, but so, so sad to read this. I'm glad he lived to publish his book on Masha, and to see how well it was received. RIP Mr. Carr and Masha. You will be missed.
The Alienist is one of my favorite books. May he rest in peace.
Did he die?

He was brilliant
Such a beautiful home. Love the attention to detail.
CBS Sunday Morning, You're the best! I subscribed because I love your content!
Never come down!! You are an amazing person Caleb Carr
If your Old Man was Lucien Carr, your surrogate uncles were, Jack Kerouac, Alan Ginsberg, and Wm. Burroughs, then you can understand the irony of living on Misery Mountain. It had to be rugged living with an “entitled” father and his alcoholic soul mates.
Rest in peace Caleb Carr. You have earned it.
Read his memoir.
The sadest interview. He was about to embark on a life of illness and woe. But his new cat Masha would save him. Rest in peace.
Thank you for the work you're doing with students. Yay! I would love to live out of the city growing up in the 50's so much has changed. Love the house, a lot of very centered and good thoughts towards the architecture for safety and comfort. Nice job. Blessings of light for you and your family.
Amazing foresight!
Rest in peace 🕊️🙏 Author Caleb Carr. 😔📚
I love his books. The alienist is a favorite of mine. He leaves a lasting legacy.
Very interesting man. I had not heard of him before the interview. I will be checking out his other chair. It’s not comfortable
Love Tracy Smith!!
RIP
Wonder writer☺️
So, did the TNT series do this book justice?😂
I have always had the same feelings towards mankind. I have always felt alien on this planet. I frankly am disgusted with humanity. It's sick and I have the cure or plan but who's going to listen to Michael Frederick Adams, woodworker, artist, alien and prophet from the stars. Oh well 😮😢
Well you COULD start a cult but we know how well those turn out 🙃
@@davidlong1786 no cults no fame just want to be heard cause believe it or not I do have 85% solutions to our current predicament. Michael

Why Why Why did he die??? He seemed to have it all..He seemed to have the money to live a long life..Why???
Cancer doesn't care if you're rich
Money doesn't mean you 'got it made". Look at Steve Jobs, he had money out the whazoo but still succumbed to cancer like so many have before. When your time is up, it's up.
Adding this: I never have heard of him before now but I understand your anguish at having a favorite author pass on. I myself cried hard when Terry Pratchett died back in 2015 mostly for selfish reasons, knowing I would never get to read a new novel about the Discworld from him. He brought to life a fictitious world for myself and millions of others for many many years.
He had long standing health problems, some of which stemmed from the fact that he was horribly abused as a child. His crazy father used to knock him down flights of stairs. When he got older he had neuropathy, pancreatitis, adhesions, and finally,, cancer. I feel badly about his death, too. I really liked him, both as a writer and a person.
Son of Jack Kerouac buddy Lucien Carr.
Guy needed a haircut
Oh look, it's the fashion police wanting everyone to conform to his own ideals of what is allowed.
Interesting how uncomfortable long hair on a man makes certain other men.
