Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker is almost here and we are super excited to see how this new Star Wars trilogy will end. So we want to go back to all the other Star Wars Movies in the series and do a timeline of the Star Wars series. But that is a lot of movies so we will be focusing on the Skywalker story of the Star Wars films, so join up as we unpack the skywalker saga in the simplified Star Wars Skywalker Timeline... So far, because something will happen in The Rise of Skywalker that will probably add to this timeline.

Anakin’s visions of Padme’s death are only partial. What he doesn’t see is that he himself is the cause.

Anakin was strong with the force. He had force visions but was too arrogant and took them at face value. Yoda is also very strong with the force but is wise and collected he can’t see force visions as strong as Anakin but he knows that the future is hard to see.
Anakin was the chosen one and very very strong with the force so his force visions were true but his arrogance got the better of him and couldn’t see himself as the root cause of all of Padme’s and his own suffering.

It started Anakin on the dark path when he said to Padme with lots of anger. I will even find a way to stop people from dying. Then Palpatine used this to his advantage knowing Anakin wants to learn how to stop death, to either bring his mother back or keep Padme alive.

I'm fairly certain it was supposed to look as if he struck Obi Wan with his light saber, however the light sabers the actors used at the time were made out of powdered glass and the actor playing Vader was instructed to not have it touch Obi Wan or his saber out of fear of the glass shattering, I'm not 100 percent sure that it's the actual reason why it doesn't physically touch Obi Wan though. I always thought Obi Wan became one with the force as he was being stuck because he said "if you strike me down...etc".

Original trilogy: force lightning on Luke while getting thrown to the Death Star reactor by his own apprentice
Prequel trilogy: force lightning on Yoda who blocks it and gets thrown of those senator floating thing but survives for continuity purpose
Sequel trilogy: force lightning on Rey who blocks with 2 lightsabers and reflects it on the caster destroying him once and for all (I hope)

Fun fact: In the first draft of Star Wars, the action is said to take place in the 33rd century. That's why the characters are referred to as humans and why they often have Earth names and Earth cultural traits. Given the fact that the title card "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." was a late addition to the editing process that Lucas added just to shut up the science sticklers in the audience, I like to think of Star Wars as being set thousands of years in the future of our galaxy or another galaxy, one which humans colonized. Maybe these adventures take place in the 333,000th century? 🙂

Something I don't understand: If Anakin becomes a padawan, getting training from the Jedi who are essentially officers to the galaxy, let alone he is romantically involved with the freakin queen, why couldn't anyone help free Anakin's mother from being a slave.

Of course, I want to see all of the movies (especially since I was named after one of the characters), but this was super helpful and saved a LOT of time on my end! I will admit that Jar Jar is probably the weakest character of the entire franchise but I honestly don't have any problem with him even with his flaws.
I would say Rose is the weakest character as Jar Jar through his clumsiness actually handled himself well in battle & in the senate. Rose just distracted Finn for a whole movie.
