Why am I not surprised that South Park was at #1 for a list like this.
It's crossed more lines than any other animated show ever has.
Family Guy should be on this list and #1. That show is so full of nothing but racism, sex, violence, murder, disfunctonality, cruelty, rude humor and abuse.

Maybe I’m desensitized but South Park doesn’t really seem that edgy to me, shows like Big Mouth & Drawn Together have crossed more lines than SP IMO, to the point they deadass went back and re classified South Park as TV-14 😭😭
Smiling Friends is absolutely the least sexual and violent in comparison to all these series.
But still some scenes can be very violent and just absolutely uncalled for, like (spoilers) Charlie in the Christmas episode getting crushed by a tree. It sounds funny but the scene itself is very gory (I’m not saying it wasn’t funny but it was gruesome)

I've watched adults swim way back in 2000 as a kid back then and now as an young adult realize things weren't so innocent for me.
These adult cartoons are absolute classics! they may not be for kids but anyone who watches them is super lucky.

I wasn't aware that there was actually a Szechuan sauce promotion thing because of Rick and Morty. Well I feel sorry for the McDonald's workers who had to deal with that and didn't understand what the hubbub was all about
The Szechuan craze is actually what got me into the duo in the first place (I was 14 at the time so it’s no big deal)
And ever since the season 4 trailer dropped I’ve been desperately wanting a Rick and Morty movie
So we gonna pretend like kids don't already watch some of those shows

South Park Mr Pickles Rick and Morty, are the three shows I do watch and have watched recently, Beavis and Butthead not so much anymore.
Since you mentioned Mr Pickles, I'm surprised you didn't mention Mama named me Sheriff, since it's the same storyline and characters, they should have been mentioned together.

What's very odd is, and I certainly am not lying if you don't believe me, I got into trouble watching South Park when I was nine-to-ten years old, mostly because not only that I wanted to see what it was like, but also, just because I wasn't understanding that they were telling me it was a cartoon for adults as I do now, my parents held me back several times, until one night it was the last straw and I was banned from watching it, until a couple of years, followed by a late following one, later. Kinda like the 1999 South Park movie, but instead happening to me. Anywho, whilst I like to look at some of South Park, mostly the old stuff, every once in a while, I have three favourite adult TV cartoons, which are; Rick and Morty (huge fan of that), Invincible and Beavis and Butt-Head.
I still remember sneaking downstairs at night and watching South Park on volume level 5 just enough to hear but not enough for my dad to wake up
same here i was like 8 sneaking to watch south park and adult swim my parents didnt even know i was up if one of them walked in i would have just pretended that i was asleep

I never watched these in front of children. BUT I was 8 when aqua teen first premiered and watched it behind my parents backs. But I was the child watching it for me so all good. :)

The original Ren and Stimpy isn't really an adult cartoon.
Of these, the only ones with an art style and content I'd enjoy are Morel Orel, Beavis and Butthead, and South Park. It would be interesting to see an animated version of the furry comic Circles.
One time I was in a road trip with my family. We were going to Kentucky and when I was on a campground in Tennessee, my dad watched Family Guy at night while I was there. I only saw a few clips, but yeah.

I think Robot Chicken did something based off Oral Moral once, and it's funny, normally Robot Chicken is "ruining" our childhoods, but Moral Oral was right up their alley

Last year, our TV in the lobby at work was put on random feeds for channels, & was on Adult Swim one day (which was behind on a 4-5 hour delay). Needless to say, it was showing the Boondocks one morning & was closed captioned...let's just say after that day, our supervisor took the TV down and we no longer have it in our establishment LOL

I had a back story to why the cartoon scared me and my daughter, so it made me laugh, but no one else in the theater thought it was laugh out loud funny. Funny awkward moment on a first date, I guess...

My sister would watch Happy tree friends ( Netflix used to have it under the kids section my sister was four at the time it was her favorite show)
I’ve been a South Park since 2015, but in 2021, I saw a South Park episode called “D***** and Turd”, and it’s the most coldest and darkest episode I have ever seen in my life. It hit me so hard, the feeling lasted for days or weeks, and I took a break from watching it ever since. On that episode, Stan was threatened and intimidated with guns, he was banished from South Park for not voting, he was humiliated (his brown jacket got torn off by the townspeople and they literally spat on him, including Stan’s own best friend, the culprit responsible for his hellacious experience, Kyle, although it was probably due to peer pressure because Kyle was sad as he walked away, then they tied him up onto a horse, placed a bucket on his head and sent him away), and after he was nearly killed for not voting, he returned to South Park and voted, but not for Kyle’s candidate which left me to question why Stan and Kyle remained friends after everything that Kyle put him through on that episode.
My fave adult cartoons are Rick & Morty, King of the Hill, Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons (kinda not for kids), and Solar Opposites

The CZcams web series Helluva Boss. Highly and very inappropriate due to the dialogue and gore shown in the series. I'm 21 years old and I love the show very much because of the well designed characters and plot of the series.
A huge majority of the fanbase is 9-14 though 💀
@@alictyne That's what bothers me. NOBODY under the age of 18 should be watching that EVER. It may look like a wonderful cartoon, but underneath it is lots of adult jokes and tons of gore. That's why there's a warning before it starts!!!
@@bellasalceies4138 i understand your view. Although I think that a 16-17 yr old would be mature enough to watch it. And a lot of people grew up watching adult swim, aka shit like Moral Orel and Superjail, which are much worse in my opinion. Those people watched that kind of stuff at a really young age and are now adults and weren’t really affected by it. So it depends.

South Park is definitely a show that you'd never show to a kid. When I was a kid, I watched some of the episodes and there's was one scene that I saw that took adult content in such a weird way. I've not heard of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but hearing the information about this show is enough to be on this list compare to the rest and Rick and Morty is on the list because I'm familiar with this show, not that it is terrible for anyone to watch this show, even kids!
