Next: top 20 TV shows you should never watch in front of your parents
Can you PLEEEEEASE DO A VIDEO ON THE TOMMOROW WAR!
For me, it was top o the list. I got myself banned from watching that damn South Park REAL quick
While "F is for Family" isn't the most family friendly show, it's sweet that Bill Burr still centred an animated sitcom around his own father.
It had dark humor
I’m just glad it made a list and go beyond being an honorable mention.
I am suprised american dad is not on list and castlevania too
F is for Family is surprisingly wholesome at times
I guess Bill's father was an abrasive dick who would lash out like Frank
I’m so lucky to have a dad with the same sick sense of humor as mine because we’re able to watch these shows and laugh our asses off together
Same here
CHILDREN CAN'T WATCHING ADUIT TV SERIES,
Damn I wish 😅
Me too. I remember watching F is for Family and finished the season too.
The Boondocks. If you're black like me, this is the show that almost every parent would ban anyone from watching since it was adult in nature. But we kids loved it anyway except for season four.
That was a family show for us.
This was a family show in most black homes fr
Fr
What happened in season 4?
Season 4 had some good episodes.
South Park, Archer, Drawn Together and Happy Tree Friends are some of my favorites. After seeing this list, Beavis and Butthead seem so innocent 😂
Freaking this! The top 5 shows were pretty edgy for their time, compared to the other shows on this list, they're tame af!
Yes Cartman is the devil next to Bart Simpson, but compared to Metalocalypse or Super Jail, he's an angel.
never even heard of the latter. Happy Tree Friends? It looks like it's purposedly drawn to entice children?
My Father actually used to watch Beavis and Butthead!
I still miss him…
I've seen "South Park", "Drawn Together", and a clip of "Archer" on part of a tv show. I also learned about "Happy Tree Friends" from another video.
I say it depends on your family. Case in point: watching F is for Family with my family is EXTREMELY fun
I have fun with it too, but I was more shy when I was younger!
I never realized it as a kid, but the original Tom & Jerry cartoons were brutally violent! Probably the more so than most mature cartoons nowadays
I never realized it either.
Looney Tunes also can be very violent.
Wile E Coyote agrees
‘Rick and Morty’, one of my most favorite cartoon shows of all time.
I watched clips of it on an episode of a TV show.
Yeah ikr the great series ever a
The Netflix Scott Pilgrim anime series is one show you probably won’t want to watch with your parents around.
Actually, the Boondocks is probably one of the adult shows my parents watched, and they find this show relatable, especially when it came to black communities😁
‘Stripperella’ may be underrated, but I like the show personally. LOL
Thanks for saying, most of these are shows I've wanted to see and not had a chance to
The only thing I liked about Stripperella was the sexy girl scenes. The humor however was almost as bad as the humor from Teen Titans Go.
LMAO... "Your parents won't approve". I'm 42, have watched every single show on the list, and have introduced several of them to my teenagers.
I’m kinda surprised “the Simpsons” isn’t on this list since that show also has its fair share of…raunchy moments, even for something supposedly family friendly
Another show I wanna add here: Duckman. It was like Wild Thornberrys style animation and Family Guy style humor
Another one I think should be on the list is Dreamworks’ “Father of the Pride”
Duckman was legit
"YOU LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! You thrust your pelvis, HAH. You thrust your pelvis, HAH." I'm glad I got all the season downloaded so I can watch at anytime.
@@Zeishiki - you should purchase the DVD's so you can take them anywhere.
Duckman brought back so many childhood memories. It was my first cartoon that I ever watched that was so vulgar. Nothing has come close to it since, in my opinion
I've seen one episode of "Duckman". I found that cartoon in a book and wanted to check it out. I love it.
Most of these shows my family actually do watch without keeping them away from our parents sometimes. Such as Ren & Stimpy, Family Guy, and South Park.
Honorable mention goes to Helluva Boss.
This show has a lot of instances of horny demons and satanic themes that would disturb parents and even devout Christians. Plus we get the usual sex, gory violence, and foul language.
If you're not familiar with Hazbin Hotel being on the list, watch a few minutes of the pilot instead Helluva Boss's satanic gags.
I have enjoyed the series, and hope for more.
That's what my comment puts together
I also love ALL THREE seasons of ‘The Boondocks.’ The 4th season was a disappointment.
I hear Aaron McGruder wasn't involved in season 4, that's probably why it sucked.
I’m lucky that my parents watched Beavis and Butthead back in the 90s. All three of us love that show and watch it together 😂
All 20 animated shows that are literally made for adolescents, adults, and middle aged people plus 60-something-year-olds in North America.
I was a child when I first watched hilarious entertainment in the presence of my parents, and that doesn't invalidate the title, m8
My mother banned me and my brother from watching the “MAD” show, but that didn’t stop us from watching it.
VIDEO: Number 1: South Park.
ME: Well, now, who didn’t see that coming?
I absolutely love South Park, Beavis and Butt-head, Happy Tree Friends, and Family Guy. Such laughs
My Dad and I watched a lot of these together. I watched South Park with him and my Mom when it first aired. I was maybe 8. My parents are awesome!
My brother and I sometimes watched "Family Guy" in front of our parents or one of them. I watched "South Park" by myself.
Y'all should have had Celebrity Death match on here also.
Too funny. I'm in my 40s and my parent's in their 60s, we were watching a lot of these together during their TV runs. 😂😂
We only watched one of these on this list together.
Funny thing, the early 60's cartoons like Flintstones was considered adult just because they was showed prime time not in early morning or Saturday morning
Actually The Boondocks is pretty tame in comparison to everything else on this list, and it's occasionally pretty funny
Spawn, known to be an awesome guest character of Mortal Kombat 11.
If Scorpion got wind of that, he’d likely do his “GET OVER HERE!” move.
237: I’m a Family Guy girl. I love Family Guy. Stewie and Meg are my favorite characters. It’s my number one favorite animated tv show
STRIPPERELLA needs to be revived by Hulu
And uncensored
@@Poke-laddHow would you revive the series with your own vision?
@@melvinfranco2142 literally less censorship (free the nipples) maybe more backstory with her stripper friends
@Poke-ladd What would be their backstories? Just a hypothetical, I might add.
@@melvinfranco2142 maybe one of them is a rival or enemy spy but they become close friends idk
240: Should I ask why I saw a hidden Easter Egg of Butt-Head being voted for President in the Chip N Dale movie?
I'm actually going to see Dethklok in October in Seattle 😂 can't wait
Y’know I’m surprised “Close Enough” isn’t on this list
I found it annoying with Stripperella how season 2 was censored to some degree
It looks like a great show. I'd like to check it out!
i dnt remember there being a season 2
Oh, I really ❤ ‘Big Mouth.’
Puberty is obviously part of nature, and some overly sensitive people are afraid to admit it.
& some who get off on it belong in jail
What about "My Adventures with Superman"?
It's on Adult Swim for a reason
Beavis and butthead is the type of show that my dad would watch with me
Moral Oral 100% should be on this list no question. The “Figger” episode 🤣🤣🤣🤣
While I only watched 5 shows from this list, I had to admit 4 of them are on the top 6. It is a surprise I ended up being a normal adult (If only someone could confirm)
I actually watched Drawn Together with my little sister last year. My parents didn’t say anything to me. Also, I watched South Park with my older cousin when I was around 8 or 9 (mom was in the room) and Family Guy with my parents and my parents also watched Archer while I was in the room when I was 12.
The ‘Rick and Morty’ franchise is turning 10 and the 7th season will come out this fall.
OK there are 2 I have missed out on and now must watch them!!! Love all the rest though! Watching Archer again now!
I actually expect #1 to be South Park, you can't have a list like this without South Park, the undisputed king when it comes to offending people!
Beavis and Butthead has been my favorite cartoon ever since I was a teenager. My mom even watched it with me a couple of times and she thought it was funny and kinda dumb.🤣
I saw a clip of "Beavis and Butthead" on a tv show and another clip one of my friends showed me on his phone. I want to watch that show!
Enjoy. 🤘
I thought the Mr. Hell show would have been here. This animated comedy had running gags about a psychotic baby seal, Josh trying to talk about reincarnation, as well as dark humour and taboo conversation. I’m sure it has inspired more than one on this list.
236: I bet you’re going to mention Mr. Pickles. Thanks to you WatchMojo people, there’s no way I’m watching it. Also, one of my friends couldn’t get through one episode
I'm a grandma now. My kids love these shows. The one with the twin grandsons plans to introduce both of them to all these. Family watching traditions are awesome.
I don’t like to watch anything with anyone. I prefer to not know other people’s thoughts about…certain things, and I really prefer them to not know my thoughts about…certain things.
You forgot to mention that Stripperella is presented by the wholesome Mr Stan Lee haha
Ones on this list I've watched with members of my family (typically cousins, uncles, or my Dad): Archer, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Harley Quinn, Rick & Morty, The Boondocks, Beavis and Butt-Head, and South Park (my Dad's favorite).
Got in trouble watching Happy Tree Friends in middle school in class when we had a computer lab day. Parents were more mad that I was not doing my school work than watching that.
This list will need an update when we get more of Invincible. Not a super hero show for kids and younger teens at all.
Rest in Peace Johnny Hardwick.
And John Witherspoon, Jessica Walter and every single person who worked at least once in these cartoons on this list.
Y’all should do Top 10 Funniest Moments in The Dragon Prince
When I was growing up, parents HATED The Simpsons…in retrospect, it was soooo tame to the choices on this list. I liked Big Mouth, but the toilet humor made me cringe…I thought it would have ranked higher than Family Guy!
MTV had Beavis and Butthead, Aeon Flux, and another cartoon call "Celebrity DeathMatch" which was made in a similar claymation fashion like Robot Chicken. My sister and I used to binge watch this show!
i don't know if it ever was on tv, but i remember a series of shorts on yt called "rats on cocaine" and... yeah it's just as horrific as it sounds
Come on now, no Helluva Boss? Bojack? Clone High? Moral Orel?
238: Drawn Together beats Family Guy, Big Mouth, Robot Chicken and Rick & Morty on this list. How about that? Doesn’t surprise me
I missed The Venture Bros. from the list but it was great :D
I watched basically all of these shows with my dad when I was a kid (obviously some of them hadn't been made then) and never had a problem with them.
My dad watched parts of some episodes of "Family Guy" with my brother and I.
My dad watched The Simpsons, Family Guy, Ren & Stimpy, South Park, King of the Hill, and Beavis & Butthead. Probably watched Bob's Burgers & American Dad too. Lol
"which show were you banned from?" I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s. We didn't have banned shows. I was watching wren and stimpy when I was 9 xD
Can you do top 10 episodes of Camp Lazlo?
My older brother used to watch “Happy Tree Friends” on the living room television when we were kids and our parents weren’t around! That show gave me so many nightmares!!!
241: Happy Tree Friends at number two? Wow, I’m loving this ranking! It’s not just the gruesome deaths they go through but it also includes a character that goes through PTSD, that was from the war. Whenever Flippy is mentioned, he’ll get very creative in the kill. I like him better than Jigsaw
I have friends that worked on Happy Tree Friends lol. Good to see it made it so high on this list lol.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! Awesome cartoon shows. The #1 on my list is "Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon". 🤣
Family Guy and some episodes of The Simpsons make a honorable mention
It only took a few totally different shows to make me come to the decision to never watch any cartoons in view of family. The episode can be completely tame but for that 20 seconds someone _just so happens_ to walk in and look at the screen, something gross happens, they'd look at me and ask what the heck I'm watching. 22½ minutes of a 23 minute episode... totally fine... then embarrassing things right out of left field. Family Guy. American Dad. Dexter's Lab. Powerpuff Girls. You name it.
Twenty years later and nothing's changed. I had a _Spongebob Squarepants_ (first 100 episodes set) playing, last disc, a cousin came in for a moment and suddenly the episode took a 180° turn from its usual loony ways to have Spongebob crawling on the ground making weird noises and acting like he was having a stroke. What set me off way back when was an excerpt of _American Dad_ was on (while channel flipping) and it showed Roger's "breasts" being milked while being hooked to a machine. The whole house was claimed "what the actual f*ck". Show's odd, but not supposed to be that gross based on my casual observation.
Lesson learned: it's best to watch anything *ALONE* unless you and everyone else are open minded. Very open minded.
Loved watching super jail after i discovered it a few years ago, wish they made more
239: From Adult Animation shows to Movies, such like……
South Park
Drawn Together
The Simpsons
and Bob’s Burgers
The Simpsons came out when I was in 3rd grade, and I got detention for wearing a Bart Simpson tee shirt that said "Eat my shorts". In 6th grade, when Beavis and Butthead came out, I got sent home from the school dance for wearing that tee shirt. So by the time South Park and Family Guy came out , I didnt bother buying any more tee shirts.
I watched a few episodes of aeon flux as a teen when it ran on tv, it was amazing!!!
I was nine when liquid tv debuted
Lol, I’m a parent and we watch Harley Quinn/Rick & Morty on the regular (my kids are teenagers). When I was younger I watched Stripperella in the living room thinking my mom was asleep and she came in and saw the tv. She was very disappointed lol. I wonder if there’s a connection between these situations 🤔
"Moral Oral" deserved an Honorable mention 😂. Robot Chicken, family Guy, Rick and Morty , f is for family and a few others are items we (son and I)definitely watched together. 😅.
- I didn't want to hide everything, and he turned out just fine but I understand each parent has their own conquer level of what they think is best.
nice you mentioned Stripperella and Happy Tree Friends. I would also add American Dad since you have Family Guy on the List.
I wonder what some Parents say to Itchy and Scratchy.
But hey could be worse. Someone starts the wrong Anime series and now he knows what a Waifu is and what Hentai means
These are all great
I've seen "Drawn Together", "Robot Chicken", "Family Guy", "The Boondocks", and "South Park" as a child. I wasn't banned from watching any of them. My parents don't know that "Family Guy" is not for kids and my brother and I watched it in front of them. My dad thinks all cartoons are for kids. We didn't watch the other cartoons I mentioned in front of them. They have never heard of the other shows on this list. I haven't seen the other adult shows on this list, except clips of "Rick and Morty" on an episode of a TV show. I also saw a clip of "Beavis and Butthead" on another tv show and a clip one of my friends showed me on his phone. I'd like to check them out!
My parents got me into these in the 80s and 90s
Good thing I'm watching some of these shows on my own.
233: I’ve watched all seasons of Big Mouth during the pandemic. I surprisingly liked it of the characters and the songs
Top 10 Adult References in Total Drama / Chowder/ Friendship is Magic / Totally Spies!
My parents are in their 80s and watch reruns of Gunsmoke and Petticoat Junction. So All cartoons are cartoons I wouldn't watch with my parents.
Shows are definitely prioritized on this list for being famous. South Park shouldn't be rated above Drawn Together or Mr Pickles.
I watch South Park with my mom every now and then.
I feel like total drama could be another one, so as Invincible, or Hellva of Boss could be honorable mentions
242: At first when I was a kid, I saw the South Park DVD from my cousin Fancy’s room. Luckily, I didn’t watch it at a early age. In my 20’s, I got curious about episodes I’ve heard from WatchMojo videos and I think I’ve only watched 9 episodes. It’s not for me but one episode did make me laugh hard (Eric Cartman dressed as Britney Spears)
I watch boondocks to this day...and still laugh like I ain't neva seent it b4 😭😭😭😭
South Park should be mandatory watching. It's subtle sarcasm and sublime satire are superb. It can sometimes be gross or fuked up, just for shits and giggles. More often than not though, almost everything is there to make a point in some way. It's much deeper than it looks.
We should ALL learn something today.
The Simpsons, American Dad, Primal, Dragon Ball Z, Baby Blues, and other adult shows that aren't for kids should've been on the list. 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠📺🎥🎥🎥🎬🎬
I love the new Harley Quinn series. It’s theme music has the feel of a Saturday morning cartoon
Tbh I definitely see how happy friends is this far up the list
I think WatchMojo really like striperella and wanted another excuse to mention it in a video 😂
I’m too old for some of these , weren’t out when I was a kid
Wouldn't this be better labeled as 'TV shows that are not meant for kids' rather than 'TV shows not to watch in front of your parents' - seeing as all the cartoons labeled here are made for an adult audience.
Striperella is basically about a stripper that is a superhero
Luckily my dad would let me and my brother watch The Boondocks 😭 fire memories
I am actually surprised that the Simpsons wasn't in the list. But I also feel kind of blessed; I've either never seen or even heard of most of those in the list. I only ever watch Family Guy.
Squidbillies (2005-2021) Is My Favorite Tracy Morgan Should've never been cast as Unknown Hinson's replacement as Early Cuyler that terrible Final season...
I was allowed to watch a lot cartoons never was told what not to watch. But considering I was practically always watching Spirit the stallion of Cimarron .
Super Jail😄❤🙌🏾 Loved Spawn, Bevis & Butt-Head, Robot Chicken & Ren & Stimpy too.
