I just get concerned that when you have an up-and-comer and they score a few big wins against older fighters on the way out they get pushed too quickly. For example Chito scoring a big K.O on Cruz - he then gets cooked by O'Malley in the title fight - we'll see though, can't wait for 300

I honestly hadn't watched a full fight of his before the glover fight, but his left high kick is absolutely beautiful- super fast, minimal telegraph, and he's flexible enough to keep the pressure on immediately after he throws it high because he doesn't need to lean way back to get it up

Alex got a title shot and eventually the belt after a split decision over Jan and a controversial stoppage over Jiri. Both are essentially Glover’s leftovers and Hill destroyed Glover. I even see people rating Jiri higher than Hill saying Hill only beat old guys and guys in decline when 2 out of Jiri’s 3 victories in the UFC are against Glover and Dominick Reyes post-Jon Jones. The guy only has 4 fights in the UFC total and was fast tracked to the belt just like Alex. If anyone is the true champ out of those 3 it’s Hill.
Preach. But we all know they won't talk about that. Unlike Pereira and Procházka, Hill actually fought several LHWs to get his opportunity for the title shot.
He also put on the best title winning performance amongst all three of them and yet they try to discredit him.

Jiri had a long career, nearly 30 fights, already with an amazing record vs. legit opponents. He was fast tracked because it was obvious he was a top-tier fighter and contender and he had already put in the work elsewhere

Jamahal is one of the most violent yet technical fighters in the organization. Its a shame most casuals are counting him out against Alex, I was a huge Pereira fan since his Glory days and I’m still one of his biggest fans but Jamahal is probably his hardest matchup simply because of his long straight aggressive punches, and thats Alex’s biggest weakness.

I know Glover is the first truly big name in the division he had outside of Walker but he put an absolute clinic on him. 40s or not, Glover was often having massive success on Jiri, meanwhile Jamahal put a masterclass on him but it gets forgotten because it was right after Jiri won.

I don't understand how people still underestimate him. I think he's going to beat Pereira honestly, probably a knockout with that right check hook he throws.
Pereira is a different kind of animal. He's a one in a billion freak athlete like Mike Tyson. He's only at a fraction of his potential. If he ever puts it all together he'll be unstoppable. Toss up between Pereira, Randleman, Belfort and Lesnar as the best athletes they ever had. Gotta catch him clean like Adesanya with a knockout shot or else there's no chance, he's a berserker and he keeps getting better.
If I was Pereira I would start every fight by tackling the opponent and laying on them for 5 minutes to drain their energy while they're trying to get up, pepper in some gn'p to soften them up. If he did that nobody would ever beat him, physically, he's the apex. He's so big, strong and solid getting him off of you would be impossible. If he got on top of Hill he would be able to smother him into submission dude's built like a bag of rocks.
