Sir in this video you have made a mistake In the reaction of CaCO3- Cao+CO2 in this no oxygen has increased from -6 to -4 so the reaction should be oxidation but you have told something else please fix this

For the mercury oxide reduction reaction, wouldn't oxygen be oxidized since it is losing electrons? Meanwhile, Mercury is gaining electron (thus becoming more negative) and being reduced? Using your heuristic: 100 DOR, Oxygen oxidation # is increasing and Mercury decreasing.
