I grew up many many many years listening to ELP ... no singer or band was ever able to displace ELP as my "favorite" .... until now ... Mary Fahl is the best!!!
I saw Mary live last night in Portland, Maine and she mentioned that very thing. She said the problem was that was the year that Cold Mountain came out so God's & Generals was relegated to "Also Ran" status and Mary missed a Grammy which she definitely deserves. I totally agree with you...a unique and amazing voice.
Amazing! Some people are actually angels sent to us cherish and tell us that this world is only a stop, among many. Their voices come into our soul and transcends us far away from our sorrows. Thank you, Mary Fahl!
That is one of the best voices in the world! She moves me with emotions when she sings! Love her to death, but I wish she would have stayed with October Project. It was never the same without her and I never bought another of their productions after she left. Still, the band has great music and beautifully written songs!
Most amazing voice I have ever heard! This girl can flat out sing! There is no better female singer than Mary Fahl. She does a fantastic job on " return to me " I dont understand why we dont see and hear more from her,she should have world recognition with that voice..AWESOME!!
Thanks for posting this video. I was astonished that the two October Project CDs did not make Mary Fahl a superstar. I was sure that the video for Going Home that was included on the DVD for Gods and Generals would have done it. She has got to be one of the most underappreciated singers in the country, and the real disappointment is that there is not a larger body of her work available. What a unique and amazing voice.

I agree......ever since I heard OP when the first album was released, I was stunned by Mary's voice and emotional delivery......I saw them live twice during those years. She is absolutely perfect....the best there is, and most certainly the most underrated and, sadly, unknown by the great majority. Because God's & Generals did poorly,, she never got the exposure that a more popular movie would have given her song (thnk "Titanic" theme by Celine Dion). The music business is a sad affair...
