I just want everyone to know that now I can tell the story: I brought Hogan into WCW in 1994. We knew we couldn't compete with Vince without stealing some of his guys first. I was Flair's limo driver in 1993 (coming off Starrcade), and after he beat Vader, I told him he and Hogan could do a great program. Flair said, "WOOO! Let's give him a call!" I got the Hulkster on the phone - he was in the middle of boffing Heather Clem - and he asked, "Whatcha gonna do to get the Hulkster to work for YOU, brutha?" I told him $600K and 25% of the PPV and minimal work. Hogan stroked his porn stache and said, "That's not gonna work for me, brutha, talk to my agent." I did, and the rest is history. Please note this You Tube comment is nothing but a work. Roll Tide.

I don’t think either one of them (I know for sure Greg hasn’t, not sure about Verne) ever admitted that it was a MASSIVE mistake not pulling the trigger on Hulk Hogan and having him win the AWA title in April 1983. That was the time for him to win it because he was absolutely white hot, but they did that stupid Dusty finish and those fans in St. Paul nearly rioted. It’s always enlightening how many guys you hear came up with every successful thing WCW ever did but Bischoff stole their idea and got the credit for what they did but ironically they never had any part in anything that failed because that was entirely Bischoff. Always nice to see how genius they all were considering the times they had their own territories where they could carry out any idea they may have had it was entirely a failure. Odd how that seems to work. They have the ability to do what they want - no good ideas. But when they were in roles where they didn’t have that authority suddenly every idea was a home run that everybody took from them and got credit for. But somehow that genius didn’t continue after they left WCW either. So fascinating how the genius ideas were so condensed into certain time periods considering just how amazing their minds were.
