Bought a 2022 new and love it! Getting ready to was it today!
Motor Cycles were supposed to be cheap but companies jacked up the prices and now in the western world they are as expensive as Cars and considered luxury items rather than commute. Which is a shame.
There are so many cheap options still available... You have to pay for what you get when it comes for higher capacity
Look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on this bike!
I have the Speed Twin 1200 - similar looks, bit more power. Best bike I’ve ever owned.
Yeah, seen yours Rocket Man, they're lovely eh. Ridden all the 1200s, slightly too much power for my riding style. The 900 is right on it for me, Alex
Looks excellent !
Good review… this bike has the perfect sound and looks great (especially when clean!), thanks.
Ah yeah, was a very wet day, Alex
I have a new to me2022 T100 with 400+ miles in my garage waiting for the weather to improve and for me to finish the 2 day course to get my endorsement. This video show exactly what I want for a bike in my retirement years. I rode a big as a young guy but put it down as work and family took over. I foolishly allowed my endorsement to drop off my license when I moved to a new state years ago. But, I think its a good thing to take the two day course. I'll know by the end of the course if I am up to riding again.
Very good introduction to the T100 Alex. Beautiful color scheme. I share your preference for bikes that aren't at the top of power range. I'm looking forward to hearing Lana's comments.
Thanks a lot Brad, very nice of you to say, I think a lot of us feel that way eh
very good thanks
I must say, I test rode a T 100 in 2004. It was so smooth and civilized. My overall impression was that it rode like a nice smooth powerful Japanese bike. Not what I was looking for after riding my 1980 Yamaha 650 for ten years. I ended my search when I rode a BMW R1150R Rockster. Have ridden it for 20+ years. Yes, it’s a little too refined for my esthetic taste, but man…it just loves to get out and GO!
Sounds like my old '68 Bonnie did, definitely a Trumpie.
Nice proportions. 👍
Great debut in front of the camera Alex 🎉
Oh thanks Bruce!
I don’t mind the T100 solid bike and great looking, but for me, here in Australia its the T120 all day everyday, love that bike
Your roads are far more open and you can use the power better out there eh, Alex
@@TheClassicMotorcycleChannel that’s so true, although we do have some speed limits that seem to change constantly which is a challenge.
I'm looking forward to getting to know this machine.
It seems to have struck a chord with you, Alex.
It’s a gorgeous looking bike. If it were mine I’d get some of those bars Freddie Dobbs is having put on his then it would be perfect
Super confident with a mic Alex? You have to be a Kiwi! ;) I'm a 2007 T100 rider - since last August. Same as you - 900cc is a great weight to power to pleasant riding ratio. Handles well with my wife on the pillion. Really enjoyable bike to ride and handles almost as nimbly as my 67 Daytona! Biggest shock for me when I first rode it - apart from having brakes that actually stopped it - is that engine sound. Sounds like a bloody sewing machine as a rider. Sounds much better as a streetside viewer.
Ha, nah, I'm an Aussie living in the UK. The engine does have quite a distinctive sound eh. I really got on with it
Spokes wheel means it is tubed tyres.. right? Can we still take the bike to the puncture fixing shop? I mean will it not damage the tyres and tubes inside?
I have a 2013 T100, i had to change quite a few things to make it the bike it should have been. I loved the engine and the handling but the standard suspension was awful on anything but a smooth road. So I replaced the shocks, seat, handlebars, front springs and mirrors. For me I don't want watercooling, its just one more thing to leak.
That's a Beauty...=))
Excellent presenter. More please.
It's a beautiful bike, but why should we have to buy mudguard extenders. Triumph, please fix your mudguards!
Had my T100 3 years now....got it new in 2020.....love it more every day.....I mirror your sentiment Alex.
But would I buy a T100 today.....now I hate to say this cos I love the Triumph brand.....but what the hell have they done to the T100 of 2022 onwards.....no more chrome rims,.....all black engines and silencer system.....
Not a Bonnie anymore......come on Triumph what are you upto?????are you pushing people towards the T120 if you want chrome.....£3000 extra I think.
I have modded mine to have it even more retro....lucas ammeter in the headlamp bowl.....polished the brushed effect off the already nice engine covers.....made the air filter cover a nicer shape.....would love the carbs off the T120.
Made my own front mudguard lower extension.....what the hell is the short mud gaurd about.....the Triumph extender is still to short.
Painted out the switch gear semi gloss black.....the std peashooter are great.....but I wanted to try the norm hyde togas.....love the short peashooter look.....sound great.
Day one.....the silly rear reflector went in the bin.....and altered the number plate holder to make the number plate more vertical.....ie more retro.
Other things as well....but that will do.
The proportions look off on these new Bonnevilles. Something about how the tank and seat go together
I was thinking same...tank is too bulbous.
Facts
The damn tanks on these bikes are too big.
