    Thanks for sharing. If an old man wanted to get back into dune buggies, what is he looking to spend to build one himself. Sold mine back in 1977, what a mistake.

    Thats exactly how my dad did it back in 1970 when he built his mayers manx Incidently he also built a bradley gt in 1974 Both cool cars but i liked the bradley hgt better

    there's a better way to do this giving a stronger joint you cut down back then down remove what you need to then reweld it leaving the overlap

      this pan we did at my friends house when i do mine i leave an inch or so and to a lap joint weld. thanks for watching!

      @@philatv I think here in the UK they do a 5 inch or so step like joint ..but yes a strainth top to bottom cut and wels isn't the strongest ..no problem
