I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

I know that cliffhanger from part 1 felt cruel! After a few episodes we'll settle into a "normal" episode structure! The opening section is pretty heavy with abbey mechanics and story telling (which I love) but soon enough we'll probably be able to do 2 side missions/episode to get more in. Anyways, thanks for supporting this series. Love you guys buh bye now

As much as I love your content, I do hope it goes to a one episode per day format as I don't have time on the weekends to watch and would get very behind and might give up on watching them if it comes out three times a day.
Love the series (well...the intro of it) and always look forward to hearing your thought process during the battles.
@@Ironica82 do you realize that if there are unwatched videos in a Playlist that you can still watch them at your leisure? Why do so many people think they that if they don't watch everything right now that they can not ever watch it later?
@@bigcstevens187 I completely understand that. However, when there six to seven hours of videos that you need to watch on Monday, you basically have to either watch exclusively the playthrough to stay caught up and commenting or just realize that you shall be months behind everyone yet able to watch the other videos from others that you follow. I know that tiss mostly my persona in the way that I get discourage if I fall too much behind and don't expect him to do just one episode per day for all games. However, unlike GOW, the tactical turn based game really sets it up nicely to be a once a day video. Ultimately, tiss up to him as it is his channel and I'm just a freeloader watching his playthroughs :)

LAST TIME ON MARVEL'S MIDNIGHT SUNS
Love all the comic references we've gotten so far! Just a few I noticed:
*Wundagore - where the Darkhold was created, Chthon imprisoned, birthplace of Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman) and Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), home to the High-Evolutionary
*Mephisto - extra-dimensional demon, ruler of 'Hell', used by Wanda to create her twin sons
*The Mandarin - criminal mastermind, owner of the 10 Rings, one of Tony's biggest adversaries
*Kree - Alien race, technologically advanced and militaristic. Carol is either half-Kree or got her powers from Kree tech (depends on the origin story)
*Skrulls - Shape-shifting race, usually fight the Kree.
*Fin Fang Foom - Alien, looks like a big Green Chinese Dragon (was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby)
*Flerken - Alien creature that looks like a Cat. Has some weird abilities, like unleashing tentacles from its mouth. Carol's pet Cat is actually a Flerken named Chewie (after Chewbacca)
*"The Power of a Quantom Singularity White Hole" - Carol is connected to a White Hole, which allows her to "go Binary". The connection has been weakened since the initial connection, so now she can only do it for a limited amount of time.
I'm a sucker for the 80's and cheesey comedy.
Tony: "Still working out a few gremlins in the system". Hunter: "Try sunlight and whatever you do, avoid water"
So good
Between that and that Gozer line, I'm loving this game.

I love Blade. I also love many of his reboots throughout the comics. Originally when he showed up in the '70's, he was a normal human who was also a vampire hunter, the vampire that bit his mother didn't make him into a day walker, it gave him the ability to sense vampire, kinda like a spider sense for vampires. In the late 80's he got a darker reboot where he was a half-vampire who was hunting down vampires in revenge to what happened to his mother. In the mid 90's he got an edgier reboot where he was constantly fighting against his vampiric nature and had to take a serum that would keep his bloodthirsty nature in check. In the 2000's he got a grimmer reboot where the serum was slowly killing him. In the 2010's another reboot introduced that the serum was slowly losing its effects and one day it would stop working, and when it stopped, he would eventually succumb to the blood thirst.
I thought blade was turned into a vampire by Morbius and that's why he's a Daywalker. It's because Morbius is a science vampire and not a magic vampire. I think it happened in a Howard Mackie Jrjr comic.
It's both. They landed on "He already had a dormant form of vampirism since his mom's death and morbius's bit awakened it" or some shit.
@@KWHere2 Morbius the Living Vampire was a scientist who accidentally turned himself into a vampire-like creature when an experiment with vampire bat DNA went wrong. He's had different reboots throughout the years. During his original story arcs he was like a vampire, but he wasn't undead, could walk around in the day without fear of dying, could sunsist on blood and food, and could turn his vamire abilities on and off. His 90's reboot was edgier because it was the 90's, he was slowly succumbing to his more predatory nature, could still walk around in the day, could eat food but had lost the desire to do so, needed blood to boost his abilities, had special organs on his palms that allowed to draw blood out of his victims by grabbing them, was vulnerable to silver and garlic. The 2010's reboot saw him being less edgy and more broody, he still had his vampiric abilities, could walk in the daylight, needed blood to survive. The 2020's reboot(which is what the horrible movie was loosely based on) made him more vampire bat-like in nature, think Man-Bat but much less bestial in appearance and animistic in behavior, needed blood to survive but could eat food though it makes him feel ill, has the ability of limited flight, uses echolocation, has the ability of limited communication with bats, has low-level regeneration not on Wolverine levels but better that Beast's.
The vampire that gave Blade his abilities has changed over time. Originally I think it was Dracula but then in the 80's Marvel lost the rights to use Dracula so they made up a Dracula-like vampire, the most common in the reboots is Deacon Frost. Deacon Frost's role in vampire society has changed from reboot-to-reboot, originally he was an old vampire who was also a super villain, he then became a young vampire who had aspirations of being a vampire crime lord, at one point he was a vampire cult leader, at another point he was a vampire terrorist.
Morbius and Blade have teamed up from time-to-time. Since Michael Morbius is a scientist, he has helped Blade develop a better serum to control his vampiric nature.
@@oldeskul I googled it old chap. Blade got turned into a vampire by Morbius. Later on they retconned it so that he already had a dormant strain in his blood from when his mother was attacked and killed and Morbius just undormented it. Then they slowly fazed Morbius out of the picture entirely by not talking about that part. But that's still Canon.

Fun fact: Carol’s use of the word flerkin is not random. Her “cat” goose is an alien species called a …. Flerkin.
This game is true gem, there are always things to improve for example you want to apply weak first and then follow up with attacks even environmental ones to make the most of the status. Also taking advantage of where characters will end up after doing an action is key to save on move action and still do environmental attacks using only heroism which saved on card use which is a limited resource. The only things to improve are the need to gather reagents all over the place which gets annoying after a couple of runs, along with how difficult and slow it is to gather arcane knowledge.

I have been stoked for this game for a long time. From what I've seen thus far it was well worth the wait, thanks for putting these out there Odd!! As always, I'll be watching the entire series.
Everything but the card mechanics makes it cool with the card shit it seems like a triple A phone game. And I'm not hating on it I'm gonna watch it but I hate the card game part

Yea the hunter explains that he gained knowledge of stuff but didn't know how to use it. Like he knows cars exist, but doesn't know how to drive.

The outfit and the hairdo turned Hunter into Quicksilver (Age of Ultron)
Having made my way through more of the game myself and coming back to this, Wanda's reaction to Lilith makes so much more sense now. Awesome gameplay

Not sure who created this, but this oddly reminds me a lot of Dragon Age. Not sure why though lol. I have been avoiding any spoilers to watch you play the game and see how it is, and I'm going to get it after watching it. A lot more rpg like than I thought it would be, and I like the friendship system as well as the levels being connected to the Hunter. It gives a lot of incentive to try out different characters more often instead of just sticking with one team, and to focus on your own character.
It’s almost as if they didn’t want to make an alternate character model for while the superheroes are in the abbey so they just put new skins on them, thus the arms are all so proportionally off and blocky. Also not sure why Tony is an insecure wimp in the game lol.
Yeah it was my first introduction to Nico I absolutely can’t stand her she comes off as a spoiled brat definitely an I’m a victim poor me self entitled millennial. Hell several came across as overly sensitive both Spider man and Ghost Rider you had to keep reassuring them that they belong on the team. The low self esteem stuff was annoying.

The voice acting seems SO GOOD across the board... except I find Iron Man's RDJ impression a bit grating 😂
One tiny request, a little more game volume? Game narration is quiet compared to your voice.
Like they say not to kill the villains even though slamming in against an electrical generator would kill them, and knocking them off the building would definitely kill them as well or put them in a coma, may they have armor on so they won't die but they'll still get broken bones and being the hospital for a while. Also getting smacked by a sword would cause it major damage and I know most of the soldiers or most of the Hydra soldiers have armor on so they can survive getting hit they're just going to have a lot of broken bones in the process.
It looked like that necklace was keeping his rezz powers from working.

I believe the dialogue in this game between your character is like Marvels ultimate alliance it’s optional, if you know the information already I always thought it was for treatment, but it was just that: information
Man, I really wish I could buy this game to support the devs since the game looks cool, but some new games have come out with a price increase where I live, and I just can't spare the money. At least, I get to vicariously live through your playthrough Mr.Odd.

With Blade, I think he felt emotionally young when Caretaker brought him in and anchored him, so he feels like he's in his late 20's. Plus, he ages slowly, so the body is just staying PEAK.

Have always loved your runs. Thanks for putting these out. Couple notes: your voice is much louder than game conversations. May want to remix that. I’m currently sick in bed with the flu, so release as many as possible today. Might not even have the energy to play tomorrow, so just might watch you play instead.

I’m really enjoying these videos, and I love the combat mechanics - it’s a fun take on the XCOM-style system and the heroes feel super powerful.
That said, I’m way less into the story than I thought I’d be. The writing isn’t fantastic. If you’re a very casual Marvel fan (like me) then so much of the lore goes unexplained, and it’s confusing (I’m finding myself looking up lots of characters’ backstories, which is even more confusing). Plus there are inconsistencies - why are the posts on Superlink from over a week ago when you just got back from the mission? Tony Stark references Lilith sending goons before he would know that she’s the big bad. Why do some characters get swishy intros and others don’t?
Also some of these character builds give me Sims 3 vibes. 😆
I’m still going to watch, but these little things are putting me off wanting to shell out for the game.

1:17:03 Well if you were playing with heroes like Batman instead of Blade i would say that is Green Arrow, but since its Marvel and not DC the only other Male Archer i can think of is Hawkeye.
