Also Death Valleys Oldest Building is there built in 1850 along with the stamp mill that is there.
We collect samples and explain the Geology of an Intrusion related deposit you know what to look for when out in the field .
The Gold is very course and contains wire Gold with large masses

    Jeff...!
    Dude, you are so awesome...!
I'll never be able to say thank you enough for all of
things you have taught me and I'm certain that I will
    continue to learn from you...
When everyone else is hoarding any information which
they might have on good spots to go prospecting, which
is impossible to put a price tag on for us newbies, here
you are sharing with all of us for free...
I know that you always have a handful of Jackasses to put
up with for every video you post and I have no doubt that it
gets very old real quick, yet you keep on producing for all of
us who share your love for the Shiny...!
I appreciate everything and all that you do for us Jeff...!
Keep fighting the good fight and I will always have your back
    my friend...!
Thank you again and may your bottom always be yellow...!

Jeff, I REALLY enjoyed this video of yours and Slim's(as I do all of them), as there's so much to it! It's history, geology and more! One of the silly things I really like is how you and Slim sign off. "This is Jeff Williams and Sli-i-i-im..." It makes me laugh every time I hear it! The humor you two incorporate with your teaching is a style that I really can appreciate! I listen to you guys every chance I get, and ALWAYS ENJOY !!! Thank you for producing this whole series of videos! I rate it a full 10 out of 10 !!!

I have noticed that MRDS locates "Amargosa Gold Placers" as an ore body about 13 miles West/Northwest of the cabin in the video. The MRDS map locates it in the flats between the mountains (MRDS Deposit ID 10286240 if you're curious enough to look it up). But it is odd that this is such a historic mining site yet no mention in MRDS. Keep the dream alive Jeff! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Yes John that is so true as I have found very old maps of some 14 mines less then a mile west of the house but when I went to BLM I was informed that the mines were on the China Lake, Navel Base but I have been entertaining myself by picking up the sand in the yard and running it through a mini sluice to recover the flower gold . I would really like to get the larger stuff .

171,300 tons of gold (5.4816e+9 ounces) mined so far. We were born in the wrong era. People used to walk down to the river to wash up and grab an ounce nugget an then another... Those times were tough though and the price of gold was low :/ $20 per ounce back in 1850 was huge.. Stockpiled gold drove the price to $1600 and certain people are set.

I was wondering if you (Jeff or readers) ever heard of a treasure story about the south end of the park called Siberian Red's lost gold ledge. This is a fascinating story; it once appeared in a treasure magazine circa 1970's; I have been unable to find the full story again on the internet. It was supposed to be in the vicinity of Manly Peak. We went out there once in a scouting trip in the early 80's, in the winter. We met a hermit living on the mountainside who had once met one of the men in the story. He said he believed the story, but thought the chances of re-finding it were slim. The rich ore was supposed to look like cement-grey rock, until it was crushed up and the gold appeared.

We put the video very slow and we passed the translator over, to read phrase by phrase, CZcams has locked the direct translations to third world countries, here we live in the 18th century.
    Imperialism, and operation.
So put the videos with subtitle.

He dug him some gold while growing so old his eyebrows grow right past his brim, he said I can't see, is that a rock or a tree and fell to the ground with a thud, the gold nugs it weren't, was water and dirt with his face stuck right in the mud. signed Brickhouse, (oh! and this was posted as humor)

Another great video, Jeff. Definitely worth the investment for all the knowledge learned. Okay everyone time to pony up $10.00 to keep all these dreams alive. As Jeff is so fond of saying. "Come on let's go!!!!!" Jeffs going to need a new pair of boots the way he runs around. He already has worked Slim to the bone.

Great Video. I would love to see you do a video on the mystery smelter in the San Bernardino National Forest. The smelter is in Rattlesnake Canyon a few miles down from the Rose Mine which was a large producing mine around which an entire town was born (which no longer exists) anyway the smelter which I stumbled across while out exploring is said to predate any white explorers or prospectors to the area. Some have speculated that it may be from the Spanish Conquistadores but no evidence has been found that i am aware to substantiate that theory. There is also a old stamp mill in the area that neither the forest service, library or BLM know about. I found it while out metal detecting and exploring. Everything is collapsed but still there so I am keeping that one to myself to preserve the site.
