I've seen so many deep V necks 1910's and 1920's that have a straight across neckline under it, to make it modest, I wonder if that's actually just the chemise/camisole? It seems logical

A lot of pieces have flesh colored fabric sewn in to make it look suggestive like there's nothing at all

@@thehappyflapper Either way, I think the opportunity to show an underlayer is really fun and practical for variety rather than sewn in modesty panels - Ps. Your step-in chemise video was helpful in trying to figure out my own pattern making, I can't seem to find patterns drafting guides for tap pants with that kind of crotch gusset insertion
