I love how you can hear something resembling buzzing of the swarm throughout the soundtrack.
yeah... and since this plays in drezen after your insects conquer it.. and there are actually swarms all over the city... really fits.. you turn drezen into the hive...
Yes, so well made, i think it's an electric violin with a distortion effect for the background, just two notes switching rapidly. The music is ominous which combined with the buzz sounds epic

I can't help but have a feeling of dread listening to this. It just reminds me of encountering those damn swarms in Kingmaker, and running out of alchemist fire, acid flasks & AOE spells.
Swarm creatures are by far my least favorite type

@@chazzwozzio They might have and by late game they weren't an issue but they were just so infuriating for me on core in the beginning.
It was the worst on the early versions of Kingmaker, in the spider cave.
No warnings or anything, if i remember right, they did not even spawn in at the start, only after ya cleared out some of big spiders, and then BAM, 2 spider swarms just chewed through half of your group's hp
@@soldiersPL I tanked them with Valerie and the others stayed in the back and spammed alchemist fire lol. The worst thing is, it deals 1 dmg most of the time
I just love how unforgiving, vile and emotional this mythic path is. The characters' reactions are far more well made than the other mythic paths in my opinion, and it's just so grotesquely evil that I don't think any game can offer you an experience like it, not that I know of. It's aesthetically awesome and the powers are really immersive and creative to represent the idea of insects. The stacking of the swarm is awesome, and the fact that you get it only later in the game allows you to get merged spellbooks with extremely powerful angel or lich spells into up to 6 characters.
I'd like to say, Mr. Silantyev, that you really hit it out of the park for this game's music. I'm looking forward to the upload of my personal favorite path's music - Devil (Hell's Advance).
I can easily see why Devil is sadly the rarest mythic path. It comes late in the game, you have to deliberately fall as an Aeon and embrace Lawful Evil and it requires specific dialogue choices to be chosen and a hard skill check. There is not all that much in the way of unique dialogue choices for it outside of a few places, and most people not familiar with D&D and Pathfinder do not know the difference between Devils and Demons.
But frankly, Devil had so much great flavor text, character writing (with Melies and a certain not-Galfrey-Queen), and dialogue options for your speech to the troops, for the Hell Knights, for Baphomet, and so on. Further, my character was a Hell Knight, so Hell was already a model of order and stability they wished to emulate and the abilities offered were rather fascinating with how they involved different terms and conditions to how they worked and how you can exploit them - very Devilish.
The music for Devil was also very well done, combining the ominous church organs and the strong, stomping choir like a marching army of devils and rigid dark legions prepared to bring Hell to the Worldwound. Very fitting - especially considering the very Gothic aesthetic of Cheliax. Well done, sir!

I love that in apotheosis ending Regill finds Hells' discipline lacking

NPC: Why did you become the STW?
Me: I like eating things.
NPC: But you can’t ascend now.
Me: Of course, I can’t. I ate all my companions and council members.
NPC: And your soldiers are ok with this?
Me: Of course, they are not. We ate them all too.
NPC: But you have become an afront to the gods!
Me: We will eat them too. Once there are enough of us.
NPC: I also noticed that I am the only non-bug in Drezen.
Us: Yeeees. We know…

This mythic path surprise me. I didn't expect to enjoy evil path as much as I do and the music help a lot getting into mindset of this path.
I'm going to feel bad everytime from now on when I have to burn the bug queen body...
Most comments I've read of Swarm path are negative due to difficulty or bugs (hue hue). Good to hear at least someone has enjoyed it.

Rovagug isn't really sentient. Lamashtu is definitely a better fit.

When you hated swarms in the first game so much you became one
There is the game called sarancha. (locust if you translate it from russian). Its when you walk into your friends house and suddenly feel hungry. You go to the refrigerator and eat everything< untill your friend suddenly remembers about you and goes to kick your ass for devouring his week supply of food. It's probably how this mythic class was created.
No, it's based off the Worm-that-walks. In function it's the same thing as STW but instead of having to devour a Vescanor queen to become one, you have to die and have your body devoured by worms and have your soul split between them

yeesssss.... the swarm devours all.. golarion has fallen, the gods are next
in all honesty the swarm is such a wasted potential, they couldve made a separate ending for each mythic paths instead of all the same, perhaps one being the swarm having another act where they explore the swarms exponential potential, i dont believe anybody could reach swarm size of 100 without using mods, just imagine what kind of fight would it be, transcends beyond everything, it would even stomps your wildest dream
There is supposedly a hidden ending to the swarm path but form I've been told it's either incredibly hard to get or it's bugged
@@grandzario5972 With Toy Box you can get the secret ending with it (Because you can't access the research cards as swarm you have to manually activate the etudes), but that only adds 1 line extra compared to any other paths secret ending (About your realm ripping the abyss apart and becoming a nest for the swarm).

On unfair difficulty even when you play as Swarm you can get your wormy ass severly beaten to hell. Nobody is above to the difficulty level.

I thought this path was well written out, it's rare an evil path is actually evil over I stole someones candy bar.
This plotline ends with you ARE the candybars.
I mean... you basically consume the world till there is nothing left...what is more evil than that? lol
and having to devour your companions 1 by 1 as they keep resurrecting themselves trying to fight the new evil... that scene hurt...
It's a shame Swarm is currently in such a horridly broken state and not worth playing at all.
