- UPDATE:
I have gotten several comments that stretchy wraps are NOT deemed safe for back carrying. Instead, use a non-stretchy fabric! I recommend that you do your research! This works for me but that is my decision.
Also... leave babies legs out and wrap around the babies booty.

Heyy Everyone!!!
Baby wearing has seriously changed my life and the way that I do things. As my babies got older I could no longer hold them comfortably on the front or side and get things done so when they got big enough I started wrapping them on my back. In this tutorial I show you the process of stabilizing baby on your back safely. I also constantly go in the mirror to check on them ha ha.
I am using the Boba wrap in this video. It is super soft and stretchy fabric. (You are suppose to use a non-stretchy fabric). Make sure you pull it tight so that baby is more stabilized. Not so tight that it’s uncomfortable, but to where it’s secure
Enjoy the video and thanks for watching :)

I purchased my wrap 2nd hand from one of these apps. I also have used a towel before and it worked great! Chunky, but it worked! - Jak na to + styl
Thank u for not editing out how you struggled! Now lets do this !
100% agreed!
Right!
Yeessss lol she was amazingly real
Thank you for this I thought I could only use this for the front
You just saved an overwhelmed mama. Thank you so so so much
I'm so glad!
I LOVE this video! I kept giving up because everyone made it look so graceful I felt like I wasn’t doing it right! Thank you for being real!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’ve wanted to wear my son on my back like I’ve seen the women in some countries in Africa do. Wearing him forward facing kills my back and I can never get anything done. I have a boba and a moby and was dreading having to buy something else to wear him on my back. You’ve saved my pocketbook and my sanity!
What a great idea! This is exactly how they wrap babies in my husband's country (Uganda) with kitenge. I never thought it could be done with a stretchy wrap. Thanks for sharing with the world. My life is about to become easier!
Just watching this.. I can already tell ill be getting cramps on my arms when ill try to reach for it lol..... But still imma give it a try lol... I need to get some house stuff done 😆.. Thanks for sharing this helpful video
I’m not a mom, but I watch my baby cousins often while their parents work and such, so this method really helps me get things done without baby being fussy! Thank you for sharing :)
i was watching my baby sister i had her in there for a hot 5min and she’s knocked out 😴 so precious
Oh no girl, don't cup the feet inside the wrap like that. Get yourself a woven wrap so you can get her higher up and wrapped properly.
Omgosh I loved that video! Thank you for not editing and just for the raw footage!
I did laugh a few times because the struggle is sooo real! I feel your pain, thank you for posting this video! I’m gonna be doing this today as I try to finally get chores done around the house! Thank you, mama!!!
God bless you for this! I love my little lady and needed a way to have her with me instead of crying when I do chores. Thanks again!
Your daughter is so adorable!! Thanks for the tutorial, can’t wait to try this with my son.
Finally a real tutorial with struggles and all 😂 new subscriber thank you for taking the time to show me how.
This is awesome! Thank you soo much for this video. You baby girl is adorable and is the best to try the baby wrap with. She is so calm and such a little cutie. 🥰🥰
Super helpful!!! Actually succeeded this time w a back wrap. All the other tutorials I’ve seen were not helpful! Thank you!
Thank k you for this video and showing that it can be a struggle to get it right! My baby is 15lbs at 2 months and I need to get things done! Your video was a godsend!
I love this so much! Real life. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to try with my very sleepy 6mo who has started refusing naps!
Damn I'm outta shape because I was dying bending over like that trying to restrain my monster 😂
Victoria Rios 🤣 lol! Best of luck to you
😂😂😂
Watch the whole video with a smile on my face! Really nice to see and for sure I will try it out 😍 take care!
Omg I felt this struggle and it made me laugh so much realizing this how I be looking 🤣🤣 thank you for this video! I really appreciate you not making a big Deal when you were struggling and making it normal.
When she said hiiiiii, my heart melted 🥰
Thanks for the tutorial. Your baby is the cutest thing.
Awesome video!! Very informative, and thank you for showing the whole process w/ troubleshooting. You're wonderful!
Thank you!!! I felt like her feet were super restricted so I let them out of the wrap and then doubled over my shoulders so she was more secure. I think this is going to take some practice.
So, what if you have short, fat arms?!? 😂😭😂
THANK YOU so much!! Cant wait try try this with my son. You’re little one is so cute!
Just came here to say this was the best video I was able to find for wearing baby on my back. Thank you
Finally something I can actually do thank you I have a lot of back problems now I can try this while I clean
I can now carry my baby around the farm with so much ease!! Thank YOU!!!
So unbelievably helpful!! Thank you so much for sharing authentically!
I ❤❤❤❤ this! Thank you girl. You did sooo good , and looking cute while doing it.
The struggle is real! 😂🤭🤗🤗 But you did it! And yes...everyone else was making it seem so simple and I K EW IT WASN'T! I thought I was just bad at it and gave up! THANKS FOR POSTING
Your daughter is so beautiful and was such a great sport about it! Thank you for this tutorial! I just tried it but lost hope once my toddler started pulling my ears 😭 I will keep trying until we get it! ❤️
Thank you so much, I appreciate you🥰🥰 First time doing it and it was easy! Now I can get to mommy duties🧚🏽♀️
Your daughter is an Angel 🙈 mine is terrible she won’t stay still, she loves the sling but I always front carry and she is 9 months and 9 kg so is far too much for front carrying. I have a back pack but i came camping and I forgot it so ill be trying this today and see if she stays still or Dad will have to help here 😂. Thanks you so much, i know the strechy slings are not made for back carry but i will feel if the baby slips out. Thanks so much from Ireland!
Thank you Sis. We’re graduating from front carrying to the back over here, baby girls legs are finally long enough, and she’s so heavy lol.
It is not recommended to do back carriers with a stretchy wrap. Because it will not be secure enough
Not glamorous but EXACTLY WHAT WAS NEEDED 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for this video. I have an unused boba wrap and have been looking for a way to back carry. Going to try it out today!
Your baby is super cute!
Amazing skills and finally found some useful help! Thankkkkkk uuuuuuuuu
Ur baby is too cute. Thank you for the help.
The baby babbles are so sweet
I never comment on CZcams videos, but this is amazing. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for so long! You made it look so easy! Thank you!
Omgosh I love you. This is great!
This had me cracking up! Haha but I love the real-ness! Very helpful, thank u!
You are awesome, thank you so much for showing how to do this.
😍😍😍 Thank you so much for this my son is 8 months and going on 30 lbs I've been trying to find the best way to tote my jellybean and this honestly seems like the best way and it's nice to have anotha sista show you how.
It makes me feel very comfortable and confident that I can do it safely being small myself and I feel super reassured that it's okay to struggle a bit and to not get discouraged but to keep trying.. Thank you again
She's adorable
Thank you for making your video real. Seeing the struggle fabric and Miss Amy wanting her arm out, now I won't be totally discouraged by these same things. I look forward to trying this method.
Thank you. My son is fussy and dad is at the gym while I’m trying to fry chicken. I needed him in the back.
OMG!!!! This is soooooo cute!!!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽thank you! Y’all are so cute!!!
thank you so much for this. Been trying to find a way that fits me and my baby well. Your technique is great for us!
similar culture with that in my country. it seems like wearing baby on the back with a wrap, cloth or scarf or something though, mothers used to use a flexible belt or flat rope here in japan. recently many mothers hate a cross shape in front side like in 4:16. however, the workers still use the baby-on the back method in most of nurseries and baby-sitting places.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the video and the "messiness" of doing the wrap because if that ain't real motherhood idk what is!
How bout with a wrap not a boba. Not a stretchy. Not something dangerous. This is dangerous. Use the correct wrap and be safe.
I was wondering how to do this! You handled her so well..I need to try this :) I love wearing my baby forwards but when I'm trying to do dishes or cleaning this seems like it be way easier.. hopefully with some practice I can get this down :)
Super helpful! Thank you!
Love it thank you! So real
I love this sooo much THANK YOU
dang this was so skillful, thanks ☁️☀️

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!
Thank you! I hope that I can get my 12m old mounted on my back
Bless your heart for this video. If this were Reddit, I’d award you gold.
Girl you are a boss!!!!
Love this. Thank you so much
You are amazing!
Doing this now, thank you!!!
So cute
Your Baby is very cute and sweet
damn that's a lot of work... I'm going to try it thanks for your honest video tutorial!
She says, "Hiii" 🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍
I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this as it looks so comfy and practical. My baby is just over 1 years old now. Am I too late to carry him on my back? I just know he’d love it as well as me. Any help would be appreciated ❤️
I agree with others that baby needed to be more secure with a linen or woolen wrap, and legs should be free.
She back there having a ball 😊 snug as a bug. Great example thanks
Thank you I thought I would have to cut my wrap so I could do the African baby wrap method.
Your daughter is adorable! How old was she in this video? Or how old was she when you started to wear her on your back? You’re so patient explaining everything and very clear, great video!
Agree
Thank you so much!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Amazing
Ah, amazing, thankyou, I'm excited to try this 😍 you guys are just adorable x
please don't do this. It's dangerous and NOT best practices to wear a child on the back with a stretchy wrap
@@Real_Life_Is_More_Important why?
Thanks!
That was so amazing I was able to do it as fast as you were showing you explain very easily
I don’t know if I can do that by myself 😂 I’m going to try though
I see! With each and every type of material, there is a way to do things securely... I see how you wrapped your daughter and then tied on last time under her to "lock her in place". My son will be here in a few weeks and he is extremely active. THIS is a method I'd be very comfortable using to ensure his safety and our comfort! Thanks for creating this video.
Dee Banks thank you for your kind words! I love wearing baby on back! I do leave out the legs now. I'm not sure how old your son is but as long as he has strong neck control and you can hear him well, I think it's okay (normally 6+ months)
:)
Thank you
TFS 🙃
Nice...
Back carrying in a stretchy wrap can be dangerous! Baby can fall out as the fabric doesn’t stay taught! Please only use woven wraps and structured carriers (make sure your carrier is suitable for back carrying though) for earring baby on your back! Stretchy wraps are only safe for front carrying as then you have your arms to catch baby if the fabric slips down or if baby leans to much out. I’m not trying to offend anyone with my comment, just want to warn about potential danger ⚠️ woven wraps cost generally more than stretchy wraps, but they can be bought really affordable second hand so it doesn’t have to be expensive 💕 (a woven wrap that’s well broken into is also easier to work with and more comfortable than a brand new one)
Carrying babies on your baby by wrapping them in a fabric comes from ancient times. We practice that in Africa. I should know I am Nigerian. The stretchy fabric is ok as long as it’s tight enough to secure the baby. No judgement for your concerns, but it’s ok. Baby must be secure and trust me, with the way she wrapped it, that baby is not going anywhere☺️
