HOI4 BBA: Germany speedruns the Allies and forms the Holy Roman Empire, in 1938!

- If you've played HOI4 for more than a few months, the Kaiserin for Germany and the HRE are probably known to you. But since BBA forming the HRE has become a lot more difficult, or at least time consuming. I believe I have optimized the process and you should be able to form it in 1938 or early 1939 with this strategy. Enjoy!
Template note: it seems my template didn't show because I accidentally edited it out. I used the basic infantry template the Germans start with, but I added one artillery battalion after flipping to non-aligned.
All DLC's up until BBA were used in this video. Historical focuses are on, as is Ironman.

Great video, I found this very useful to do my own run. I was just over a month quicker than you and formed the HRE in November 1938.
I then did play and release shenanigans to make myself a democratic German HRE so I managed to form both the HRE and the EU by 1941. I couldn't have done it without this video!
That old AoW soundtrack gives me some major nostalgia. I haven’t played the new one but really should. (Amazing guide btw!)

Hey antasil, I have a challenge for you. I think it was Bitt3rSteel who had a strat, how you can conquer Greece, Yugo, Romania and the baltics as Romanov Poland. The challenge is to do said strat before WW2 kicks off and hold your line against the Germans and the Soviets without puppeting and without the 30 min of hell strat where you hold 2 VPs. Do you feel up to the task?
Hmm sounds a lot like a recent poland game i did but with extra steps. I will probably return to poland at some point, but not too sure about doing this challenge

One thing that has always kinda felt weird was that why is Victoria the only leader who can reform the HRE? I don't see why Wilhelm II or III couldn't also be able to do it.
But still, Victoria is definitely the best leader out of all the German leaders.
Thats probably because this is one big easter egg. Victoria is a very obscure leader down the line of succession, but refers to the Victoria game. The HRE was most of the time not really an empire but a confederation that barely worked together - but its a reference to EU4.

I try to recreate it several times but somehow i don't have those decisions about air safety regulations?!?!?! First attempt with all DLC, second with all but BBA, still no such decision. I can't see well your national tree but i don't see any such options there as well... any thoughts on that?
Sorry it came up after I started the civil war.... , but somehow without BBA I don't have options for the fleet after a war?!?!
Is it too much to ask you for research and effort trees?
I tried this run and it took me 2 months longer to capitulate France, and I got steamrolled by the Czechs. Meanwhile, I couldn’t gain naval superiority over the UK.
I also tried instead taking out the soviets first after forming the German Empire, but they were always way too strong (which is weird because I’ve taken them out before with no issues) and I got gridlocked in Ukraine.
It can be a tough run. And soviets seem tougher lately. Good luck!
how did you get manage to declare war so fast on beligum for me its 160 days after french defeat, i cant attack them before march and then czech is rolling me and i lose
Justify on Belgium while at war with France. Because France is a major, the justification is a lot faster
Can someone explain to me how this man makes full stacks materialize out of thin air while my factories are all assigned and I still can't produce more than like 2 units at a time when the game starts without none of them getting equipment?
I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. I do use a few tricks to pump out divisions, and they're all under equipped. I'm putting this campaign on the list to livestream soon.
@@antasil5768 I only just started playing the game yesterday, wanted to oppose Hitler asap, and I can't for the life of me understand how you're pumping out divisions this quick haha.
It's 1941 in my game and I've only got two full stacks and one almost full stack. Also due to world tension never raising I haven't been able to *do* anything.

What is that exactly?
Say it's 1942. The Axis have won. Britain and its empire gone. Commitern gone. All of Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia are under axis control. Only Canada and the USA are free. The rest of the western hemisphere is unconquered and neutral.
To increase the difficulty. The USA should remain a democracy. Buff the hell out of Germany and Japan. Finally, no Order 66.
That's a pretty depressing Fortress America scenario.
