  • In this video i discuss how to go through basic intersections. 2ways 3ways and 4ways. Always scan intersections and yield to the cars without stop signs. First thing we look for is pedestrians then any other traffic that has the right of way goes first. 4WAYS 1st car at the intersection wins (its not a race) then it's the car on your right hand side. If someone cuts you off or doesn't respect your right of way just let them go. You always want to minimize the risks you put yourself into.

Hello Spin, I have noticed that you haven't encountered any driver on a two-way stop when the opponent or you have to turn left. how would the right of way work in two conditions where you hit the stop sign first and where the opponent hit the stop sign first? I am talking about turning left on a stop sign in two conditions.

What if the 4 way stop has a long lineup and it's already going counter clockwise?

Hi Sebastian, we have a confusing 3 way stop in a 4 way intersection in Victoria Tillicum Mall. Question for you? If two cars are travelling in the opposite direction at the same time, but one car (entering into the Mall) and turning left does not have a stop sign while the other car that is going straight across (exiting Mall) has a stop sign, does the stopped car wait for the car to turn left, or does the car at the stop sign proceed through the stop sign and the car turning left have to yield to the oncoming vehicle. Usually I see most cars turning left go first since they don't have a stop sign, but I have seen some close calls where the car goes through the stop sign without waiting for the car to turn left. Just wondered who would be liable in case of an accident?

Hi, yes if there is a YIELD you should give way to cars moving after stopping. As for legalities, its different for every situation. Thats why i have a dash cam!!!

I live in Europe and I've never ever seen a 4 way stop. This must be a US only thing. We only have two way stops
