  • The following was recorded with the Xbox DVR on Windows 10. Due to the nature of the game, I had to turn on Fake Windows to alleviate performance issues and be able to record gameplay from Windowkill. Windowkill is a cool twist on shmups as it's like playing a shmup on your desktop with OS windows being your battleground though I couldn't play the game exactly as the developer intended.
You start out facing the enemies as your main game window shrinks. You destroy enemies, shoot the window borders to keep your vision far, and collect the purple dots and yellow sparkles to buy powerups and perks. The powerups are completely random though you may lock a powerup slot if there's a particular powerup you want and don't want to lose it on a reroll (either by you rerolling or the game auto-rerolling for you).
Because of the randomness of the powerups during rolls and rerolls, you may need vast luck to be able to assemble a lengthy run as enemies and hazards become numerous as your game window shrinks limiting your dodging. It's possible a particular powerup you need may never show up when you need it and only shows up when you don't need it. The powerup system will hate you at times and deny you powerups for longer runs. I haven't got a 10 minute run yet let alone advance long enough to unlock things. You're going to need patience if you want to start unlocking things.

If anyone has any tips that can help players last longer, I'm open to suggestions.
