    📊 WHAT IS POWER BI?
    Power BI is a business analytics tool by Microsoft. It creates a working environment suited for normal users, meaning tasks such as data extraction, cleansing, analysis and storytelling; these are made easily-accessible to citizen-users, and extendable for technical users. At face value it provides visually-stunning, interactive dashboards, but it’s built on top of so much more.

    Great job brother. I love it when people simplify things by avoiding third-party tools and get things within Microsoft Office platform.

    This is Brilliant. I am always looking for other/smarter ways to navigate apart from bookmarks (they are really cumbersome to keep hiding and showing selections etc). Making new pages like this works better for reports with lots of charts/tables etc!
    Thank you!!

      Hi Ruairi, there is a recent feature that came out recently that makes page navigators a lot easier! Check it out here: czcams.com/video/LGyZFf9CXqk/video.html

    Hey man! I have been watching several of your videos and they helped me a lot with working on my PBI reports. Our company uses a lot of excel workbooks, each file adds up to 300MB each due to the number of rows and I have to load several files for each query. Do you have tricks how I can optimize the data loading and refreshes?

    • @SolutionsAbroad
      @SolutionsAbroad  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Anthony, thanks for reaching out and great to hear that!
      This is a very common issue I encounter, and for this I typically create a dataflow to handle the bulk of the transformations before it hits my report: czcams.com/video/3mox85RpySU/video.html
      However before you do that, you should first try to consider if you can minimise the number of column data you need to bring, as well as minimise the row data (i.e. reducing cardinality) czcams.com/video/KUrhiIGiea4/video.html
      I have a few more videos that look at basic optimisations but on top of my head, these two should at least significantly help your case
      Hope that helps!

    Hi, is there a way we can grey out or disable a user from clicking on a button created ,based on his access?

    • @SolutionsAbroad
      @SolutionsAbroad  Před 2 lety

      Hey Dan, unfortunately I don't think so. The role-level access or object-level access are applied on the datasets, not on the visuals. If I come up with a solution, I'll let you know!
