One of the only channels I've found still using the OG Z6. I purchased one refurbished about a year ago from Nikon, and it had 1 shutter actuation, and still using it today. Such a great value. With the money I saved, I found some really good deals on some other lenses (24 - 70 f/4 S, 14 - 30 f/4 S, 70-200 f/2.8 S).
Picked up a used Z6 a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised to find it had just over 5000 actuations on the shutter count. Completely agree with you on all points. Big fan of your channel because you aren’t clamoring for the newest and “best” gear, and show that the talent lies in the shooters hands and the what they’re able to compose with their eyes.
I purchased z6 last year with 24-70 f4, initially I got disappointed with AF continuous mode in tracking my kid. Now I am adjusted to it and I am happy with it's colours and ISO performance. Now trying it manually with 7artisans 50mm. Really nice combo for portraits. I feel sometimes jealous of the third party options for Sony, especially af f1.4 to 2.8 lenses from sigma, samyang...
I love mine, been a Nikon man since I was a teenager in 1985! I really don't want a big Z9 or Z8, it's almost perfect. The Z lenses are amazing, but I love my old 50mm f/1.8 AFS that cost $100 used - that combo makes beautiful images for cheap!

Yes I can find Z6 around USD750. But Z6ii just around USD1050. I think Z6ii may be better. Now I had Z6ii with Z24-70 F4 and Z 50mm F1.8. I always use Z 50mm for street photography.
Totally agree. I sold my Z6ii and kept my Z6. When the Z6ii came out everyone raved at what a great camera it was with only disdain for the predecessor... With all of the current Z6 firmware upgrades I could hardly tell a difference between the two.
@@bryanwiththehearthappy to hear that. I heard the af was super slow with z6 and faster with z6ii. I’m looking to start mirrorless from my d750 and having a hard time. I want a cheaper one so I can get some good z lens as well. I may just go z6
I'm sorry, but I don't see "better" image quality between my Z8 and my Z6. The Z8 can run rings around the Z6 in a number of ways but it does not take a superior image in my opinion.
Waiting for Z6iii, but not selling my OG Z6, id rather give it to my teens to learn photography than selling it for $300! Yes $300 is what our local camera store is offering me to buy or trade🤦🏻♂️mine is at 12k shutter, pristine condition..bestbuy is an insult also! Offering $150 for my Z6🤬
@@dragonslayer8027 it comes down to what lense your using. I have no problems with the 24-70mm f/4 S kit lens. But my 28mm f/2.8 prime lens definetly focus-hunts alot more

I used Nikon camera 10 month. it had over 60000 acutations on the shutter count.

I purchased a Z6 with 24-70 f4 S for €700 a few weeks ago. Upgraded to the latest firmware and I am very happy with it.
It's Amazing how everything comes out is budget. That's how they get you to buy newer models

I bought the OG Z6 in 2020. Xmas of 2023 I upgraded to the flagship Z9. Loving my Z9. Thinking about selling the Z6.

That's perfectly fine, generally speaking anything lower than 200000 actuations is great

Hardly a difference between the Z6 and Z6ii. I'm keeping mine for H-Alpha Astro.
