- The whole car is now in primer. It's rough but it's all painted and the major metal work is finally done! Unfortunately now the car has to be blown apart for suspension, brakes and motor fitment. So the car won't look this good for a while again.

I have to tell you I'm 61 yrs old and never seen 2 lane. I'm a real motor head and can't believe it. I said in one of my comments that I didn't care for your hood scoop but was dead wrong. One thing I do know is that your nailing that 55 . I am very impressed on your progress. You remind me of me . Can't wait to see it done. MOTOR ON

Be good to get a break from all the bodywork. And work on the mechanical stuff for awhile. Looks cool in black! That roof is a bear to do. Was about 90 in my shop when I painted my 56. Leaning over and trying not to sweat. or drip paint from the cup while spraying was tense. 👍
Haha yeah I'm over the body work right now. I usually dont have to worry about the heat around here haha.

Out of all the Two Lane tribute cars out there, you never see them acid washed and streaked up like the one in the movie.

Primer doesn't prevent rust it only provides adhesion for the paint. Even if the surface is in primer the metal surface can rust.
