They probably got him to make presets for the synth. That would be so awesome. But yeah, It might go for $5499 guys 😅 I mean… it is their last actual Moog and Moog only product before getting acquired by InMusic. If their Model D goes for $5k, and all others below $2500, while the Moog Ones go for over $7k. Then this must be between $5499 - $6k. I’d be *really* surprised this would go for anywhere below $4k. If it is, for whichever price range… get your Affirm accounts or creditors ready haha

Yep, Moog will be like Gibson guitars, always overpriced and marketed as a premium brand for those with extra cash to burn. Does sound good in the demo though.
glad you and SP beat Andrew to it 🤣 hard to judge based off of one video, but I'm getting fatigue from these analog polys that have been announced lately. I would love to see Moog release something different, like an FM/wave table synth that uses their filters. I am not convinced that this sound can't be recreated on a much cheaper analog poly from the last 10 years.

The Arturia PB12 smacked it in the face so it's about $3,500 but I'll wait until I can get one about $500 less. I have the PB12 currently.

Looks and sounds very nice and played by an extremely talented producer. Nice demo indeed.
After seeing this, I would love to get my hands on one of these in a store to really see and hear what it's capable of. It really looks like a scaled down more affordable Moog One. However from what I understand, it's built around the Matriarch components. I bet it has a ton of modulation capabilities. I can only wonder how close it can get to the sound of an Oberheim OB-X8. One thing I can say is the Moog Muse definitely looks more like a $5000 synth than the OB-X8 does. Just look at the layout and the amount of controls!!! I just hope it won't actually "cost" $5000 and will be much more affordable. I can only hope......... We'll see....... We'll see.
Of course, if it's just too expensive but you gotta have it, then you could just sell the car and ride the bus or a bike to work. Or, we could just forget about rent or mortgage and buy the Muse anyway and sleep with it under our tents out in the streets, use a generator to power it, and keep a gun close by so no one will rob us.. Lol. Nah just kidding.

Yeah, brother, I feel the exact same way. It looks so nice and it looks really really expensive and definitely looks way better than the Oberheim. I’m hoping that they used inmusics production/sourcing and distribution to get the price of this down. Cause I would also really like to own one of these, but it’s just not feasible to break the bank for synthesizer at this stage in the game. Maybe I’ll get a job delivering pizzas until I can afford one.

Hopefully someone will do a teardown when it comes out. The ability to assign voices per part as you wish (1-7 thru 7-1) plus unison detune and glide settings could be great combined hopefully with dedicated outs/layer. A "vintage" capability as seen on Sequential (or doable on Hydrasynth) would also be great to see. They really should have developed a poly based on Sub 37 starting 10 years ago. If this is basically an 8 voice 2 part Subsequent 37 (including VCO1 sub-osc and VCO2 beat frequency) that will justify the $4k price given what Sequential continues to sell for $3500.

However knowing Moog & their other offerings its going to be listed for at Least $3999... $3499 Only if we get lucky! But remembering this is an 8 voice Polly with screen patch memory & FX so they're pitting it in the camp against everything from the Prophet6 to the obx-8 so those are the price ranges i think they will justify to themselves... & they are Moog... so i doubt they'll go for lowest price in that range of instruments....But Fingers crossed your right brother...then Moog will have changed for the better!

China is controlling this now. A $4000 product made in Europe or the USA costs half. That coming from China…..the hydrasynth is a very complex synth capable of some amazing sounds with an amazing interface. High quality. And they are WAY cheaper than German, English or American synths.
