Visit to Brush Works in Loughborough during a visit in the area visiting the Great Central Railway Spring Diesel Gala
27.04.2024
Was fascinating visiting this location as it was when the class 60’s were getting built the last time I was there. How time creeps us on us all !!
Thanks for watching 👍

Another epic video from you. I am loving it and I am feeling spoiled rotten with these great videos from yourself. Please keep up the great work buddy.
Nice One 👍
Excellent Footage Mate Quality 👏
Cheers Buddy 👍
In the swing of it now mate 👌👍😊
Getting there Pal
Glad I took it with me to the GCR Gala so I could have a practice. !!
Thanks for some of the tips (Not easy grabbing the thing to turn it upside down) 😂
All waiting to be scrapped or used for spare parts
Very interesting seeing that Network Rail 73 there still with the mounted tail light on and all.. weird they've not taken it off considering I don't think it's moving anytime soon!! 😬😅
Lots of interesting traction there, as always it's a shame seeing all those 60s left there but equally nice to see what I assume to be some future 66s there! Wonder what will happen to 56301 while it's there.. hopefully not a repaint! 😅
Great video! 👍👍
Yes very interesting place to visit
Last time I visited Brush Works was when the Class 60’s were actually getting built believe it or not !!!
Not sure why 56301 is there to be honest wasn’t expecting it to be parked up. Thanks for taking time to write the comment 👍
@@arthurgrowler5749 oh wow, must have been even more upsetting then for you really.. you last memory of that place being when those great things were being built and now your last memory is seeing those great things just left there, where I assume they'll eventually be transported away via road based on the lack of track... 😅
Yeah hopefully nothing bad for 301, always wanted to see that loco so if it was suddenly scrapped I'd be devastated!
Managed to catch 56301 up at Peak Forest on shunting duties
Awesome seeing it reversing into dove holes quarry 👌
The blue loco at 4:49 is new .
New shunters
Think there’s one at Basford Hall in Operation
does anyone know the number on the class 60 with the yellow and white stripes on the side?
If they are the ones on the outside, it makes
Me wonder what's on the inside of the works?
Thought the same
Wondered what was in the back sheds
dc rail own the 16 class 60s and think they may see 9 working loco out of it they also have hand in the 56 i believe its getting a heritage repaint as part of the deal
That’s great news 👍
Look forward to see the repaint !!
@@arthurgrowler5749 I'm lead to believe it is as good as in the hands of the Cappagh group parent company of dc rail freight hence being at brush with the proviso that it wares a heritage livery and does to diesel galas a year or so I'm told
Fantastic
