Norm, I just got the same email. I paid my deposit anticipating pricing be similar to that of my Mercrdes Sprinter (60-80k CAD). 150-180k it crazy. Until Telsa releases a sub 100 or sub 80k Cybertuck they are going to have a very hard time converting the average tradesperson or contractor. For now this vechicle is a white collar grocery getter (or short distance toy haulver) vs a blue collar work truck which is the demographic Elon wishes to steal marketshare from... $140k cdn is insane. That is a far cry from the $39k usd we were promised.
Nov 21st, 2019 Price (AWD) : $49,900 USD = $68,555.333 CAD @1.37300
Asking : $137,990 CAD = $100,495.64 USD @1.37300
Foundation Series Mark-up : $20,000 USD = $27,461.884 CAD @1.37300
Price w/o FS Markup : $110,528.116 CAD = $80,497.224 USD @1.37300
Nov Price incl. inflation : $61,321.74 USD = $84,253.444 CAD @ 22.9% Cumulative rate
Price difference between announcement date vs. purchase date: $19,175.484 USD = $26,274.672 CAD
My guess in the final price difference calculated on Aug 8th, 2024, is most likely due to low volume manufacturing as Tesla starts ramping up production to reduce cost and miscellaneous updates. Changes such as, but not limited to: HW4 cameras, four-wheel steering, cost to develop Steer-By-Wire, 48V architecture, etc.
In my opinion, it's a great value for a fully loaded truck in comparison to its competition asking for $130,00+ CAD (Mid-trim and fully optioned).

Are different wrap colors available in Canada? I'm trying to configure my Cybertruck, but I don't see any options for exterior colors (wrap).
You need to be out of your mind to pay over $180,000, including luxury tax for Cybertruck. Way too overpriced. I do own a Tesla Model S 2023 brand new Long Range. I know what I am saying here. That's a joke of the price. Again. A JOKE.
Elon so desperate they release it to Canadians while he made the rest of us waiting for the regular price Cybertruck longer.
Foundation series = beta testers. Let them work out the bugs before we get ours.
