These are Great lil saws for homeowner, I as well had a lil inexpensive bench top saw for about a decade all I can say is it cut wood . This DeWalt is a huge upgrade for me an cuts real accurate, I played with it for like 3 days just doing nonsense stuff , I nearly missed Supper the first 2 days messing with it 🤣. You are absolutely right! I have a wrap up video coming soon talking about how much I have enjoyed using this saw. Any maybe that’s because I got so used to the crappy results from my other little saw but yeah it is so night and day. Results speak for themselves as well. My latest video shows the display unit I built using the saw and it was fun to use.

Better to miss supper than a finger!
I had one several years ago. I ended up selling it. The dust collection is terrible. You will get tired of sawdust blowing up in your face. I even had a zero clearance throat plate, it did not make any difference. The dust collector does not work at all.

I have run quite a bit of wood through it to this point and have not had the same experience, but, that does not mean it won't happen at some point. I did read similar comments that you just provided and it was a consideration when I was thinking about what saw to buy, but like I said, so far I have not experienced that happening. I have my shop vac hooked up to the port on it and it seems to be working pretty well. Anyway, thank you again for stopping by and providing your valuable input.
