- Charlotte Carty, from Milborne Port in Somerset, walked 77 miles (124km) across hills and Jungle from the village Jessami to kohima to re-create a 39 hours walk undertaken by her grandfather Lt. Col William Felix "Bruno" Brown, CO 1st Assam Regiment, Battle of Kohima 1944, world War 2.
The Britishers final walk was escorted by Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) from D. khel Seikhazou to World War cemetery kohima for closing Ceremony.
As mentioned in the video caption this 39hrs walk from jessami to kohima is Charlotte Carty Trustee of The Kohima Education Trust mission to re trace her grandfather Lt Col. Bruno Brown the CO of 1st Assam Regiment who walked the same route to Kohima for the battle of Kohima in 1944.
Fast forward now 80 years later, here her team being gracious and honoured guest and as it is Angami nature they are being happily and warmly welcomed escorted in Kohima by Kohima village /Angami Youth volunteers.
It is a pity that majority of comments here are just plain nit picking, un informed, un educated comments! Make it a habit to be aware and be informed of happenings/events instead of just nit picking here and there.
Well,perhaps the reason why people are nitpicking on some details maybe because we are all curious about thr combat vest.

Please enlighten us about the utility of the combat vest for the village youth volunteers.
Combat vest are worn by trained military personnels to hold their mags,communications and bullet proof plates,that's the utility for the military.
Now for a village volunteer,what purpose does it serve?

those are the Quick Respond Team (QRT) they're professionally Trained under Disaster Management Government of Nagaland For any disasters and calamities . whats your problem with the combat vest ? Is there and issue ? If the Authorities permit them to use what the issue there ? i have seen your comments everywhere dude . KVYO's (Kohima Village Youth Organization) QRT (Quick Response Team) should operate exclusively within the jurisdiction of Kohima Village, rather than extending into the capital city's jurisdiction. Law and order matters are best left to the administration, rather than self-styled individuals seeking to play the role of heroes.

Pertaining to QRT of kohima village youth organization, for those who are pouring out your dismay and -ve feedbacks, let me share the concept and the nature of nurturing such QRT.
1. The QRT of Kohima Village is established to aid the administration and not above the administration
2. The QRT members are trained to respond to calamities within its traditional jurisdiction as first hand responders and not as just cladded show pieces
3. Anti-Thefts, locally un-armed securities and responders are the QRT members.
4. The village, town, municipality and administration has experienced the maturity and calibre of the QRT members under the aegies of KVYO.
5. As a matured village organization, the QRT is established and sustained not to gain mere social glitters or guerrilla concept, but as voluntary capacitated responders.
No issue with the Qrt.
I am happy that Kohima village has a Qrt unit.In fact,the other naga villages too should adopt this practice.👏🏻
However,what is the utility and purpose of a combat vest for a village volunteer?
Combat vest aren's just worn by military personells to look "cool"😅;they wear it for a purpose,to hold their rifle mags,communciation radios and bullet proof plates!
Now again,for a village volunteer,what purpose does it serve other than to use the pockets of the vest to keep their phone or gutkha or to look jaborjosti "cool".

The vest has a purpose with what essentials (non-arms)to tuck in when disposing their social service. It's not just a costume as per your immature curiosity and narrow mindedness. Not the correct platform to meticulously narrate each and every knitty gritties of the costume set and spam the platform. You are always welcome to visit the QRT kiosk in the village and re-affirm yourself of your curiosities and doubts🤝

For those confused, envious or unhinged. It is a utility vest and not a combat vest. Combat is done with hands, legs and lethal equipments.
Having said that, usually water, juice, emergency consumables, basic first aid etc goes inside. However when necessary tasers, batons, catapults, knives, handcuffs, pepper spray, torch "besides others" can and are ever ready to be put inside depending on the situation and the assignment at hand.
Kohima city belongs to every naga and denizens but it belongs to Kohima village first and we are the guardians of it whether anyone likes it or not and there is nothing haters can do about it. So relax and focus elsewhere. All villages and tribes have their traditional jurisdiction, so also does Kohima village. Let every village take care of its jurisdiction for the interest of all nagas and Kohima village will do the same.

Not forgetting the the good deeds they may be doing I’m of the opinion that this QRT as they call themselves should not be in existence and should not be encouraged by any civil organisation. Our society doesn’t require it as we have state agencies for any law and order or for any other matter.

Let me make some clarifications about the QRTs. Quick Response Teams (QRTs) in India can function legally as long as they are licensed by the government under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005. If they are not licensed, their actions can be considered illegal, and they may be subject to legal action.

QRT, for all intents and purposes, is an organisation meant for humanitarian services. As any humanitarian group, they respond to emergency situations like fire disaster, earthquake and many other unforeseen natural disasters. During normal times they volunteer to serve as tourist guides. Their commitment to selfless humanitarian services in and around Kohima can be correctly compared to those Sikh organisations who serve free food and medicines to needy ones during abnormal times. So, anyone who views them wrongly just by looking at their black vests should do some research. Those black vests are purely meant for carrying cutlery, navigation compass, beer making kit, Pokè balls ('cuz you gotta catch 'em all) and many miscellaneous things that are not even remotely close to weapons. As for idiots comparing them to Aram Tengol (sic) or whatever they are called, I will say this; QRT is not your classical terrorist group. They are akin to what UNESCO is to Africa.

Just presenting my perspectives tey.
I'm with the idea of QRT formation ,their contribution to the society in commendable.
However although I'll be marked as negative minded by this comment but please bear with me.
QRT is already a force in operation in India and it's job is to tackle different threats swiftly . They are trained ,salaried and employed personnel from armed forces of India. Whereas this QRT seems to me a little out of place,with their outfit and their appearance,they look like security personnels but incase a different situation arises unexpectedly and they fail to perform what they look like they will perform ,wouldn't it invite abundant s#!t comments from everywhere? If situation of unexpected sort turns out,how effective can the untrained NGO react?
Don't you think that securities of these vulnerable tourist should be taken seriously?Wouldn't it be more rational to let special toughly trained personnel like NAPs and other Armed Forces to take care of the securities of important people?
I think that roles of NGOs shouldn't come this far because if any failure occurs, then there's only one conclusion. The entire outfit and parading is just for show and I think that is a kind of immaturity.

I thought like Kohima is the capital of Nagaland where all tribes represent the capital and i thought like in the second world most Naga tribes also took some parts, and i also thought like it will be good if we could represent not all but atleast show some diversity in hosting the so called the offspring of the master of our past.. i also thought that the pastor could have prayed better in his dialect..overall Nagas are good in only welcoming people, entertaining people who comes from outside and we as a naga will never do that among us...
