- Hey all!
Join me as we fly from Roosevelt Roads NAS (TJRV/RVR) in Ceiba, Puerto Rico all the way to El Higuero, La Isabela Intl Airport in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (MDJB/JBQ) on this IFR Flight in a SUPER UPGRADED Cessna 182R!
This time, I introduce my wife to all of you and she tries to takeoff for the first time! She's also a great copilot, working the Autopilot and the Garmin GTN750!
Things go as planned until we are minutes away from arrival, weather and garmin throws us a curveball and we will have to ADAPT!

Thanks 👍 the 182 has a 88gals tank... the owner is working to fit an extra 20 gals.. the Raptor has a 36 gals tank; however, I think the 182 gives a better mileage ;D

I've only been able to fly virtually through sims (first Xplane, now MFS) since last year, but I love flying around DR , Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean. My family is Dominican so the islands have a special place in my heart. Thanks very much for uploading these videos! I'm happy to see a fellow Caribeño enjoying flying the islands for real. :)

Question: 21:30 CHTs above 400 degF seem rather high. Perhaps you go LOP and resolve this later on? BTW: I enjoy your calm manner of piloting. Thanks. Wayne

Edit: No sabía que Roosevelt Roads lo habían convertido en un aeropuerto civil. Yo pensaba que todavía seguía cerrado. Hacen vuelos comerciales desde allí o es solo aviación general?
