I didn't use anything. It's just royal icing colored with Americolor Super Black and a touch of yellow.

Do you use a stencil? What are the lines on the cookie before you start icing?

No stencil. I'm using a projector. It's an old KopyKake projector. Most people use a Pico. It projects an image (or text) down onto your cookie to help you with a design or to help you to be consistent if you're doing a lot of the same design.
