I always discuss with my daughter about her dress. She understood that without wearing any vulgar dresses can be look beautiful. She puts her makeup simple way. I think if parents explain well they will understand. In my church some girls are wearing very protective dresses during the Sunday service. My parents taught me now I'm passing this my daughter.

I just semi retired from the fashion industry and have spent time reevaluating my style. I now ask myself when I get dressed on Sunday mornings, if Jesus was looking back at me through the mirror would I be ashamed or ready to see him face to face. I make sure my necklines aren’t plunging, my bra straps aren’t exposed, my pants aren’t too tight or my dresses aren’t too short. It’s not difficult to dress appropriately for mass. Classic and age appropriate looks beautiful. I love my fashion but there’s a time and a place to go extra just not in Mass. Parents also need to set the standard so the children learn how to dress appropriately for Mass especially before they hit the teen years. I agree with Christine that parents, parish leaders, speakers, need to talk to young women about self worth, respect and dignity. Social media and the culture can really put a lot of pressure on our youth.

I’m taking a course on dressmaking so I can have more options in how I dress. I’m also a an avid knitter and make most of my jumpers and cardigans. I prefer trousers to dresses and I’m not a ‘girly’ woman, but I do like to look nice. Making my own clothes has made me really think about how and why I dress the way I do. As it takes a lot of time and effort to make something the finished product needs to be something I really really like. I don’t make things you can buy in a store, what would be the point of that? I try to make things that speak to the dignity of being made in the image and likeness of God. I’m not saying I always succeed in that, but I keep trying.

Most of the people attending that Mass are elderly men, and my husband is laughing how they are salivating looking at that girl. I tried to talk to few of our priest, with lady that is coordinator of ordinary, (they are on every Mass, so nothing extraordinary about them!) ministers, and nothing happened. I like my Sunday Mass, but we started attending Saturday evening Mass, because I am discussed with that behaviour. Therefore, I thought that this is how I should dress being careful to not judge anybody but always dressing in this way mostly at church, and when I went far away from home, I still try to cover now as I am a person in a wheelchair, so wearing a short skirt might not be wise I As well as some dresses that go a little below the knee because sometimes in certain situations, it doesn’t come out modest this is where I will use leggings, not how most people would use them. I would assume the next part of modesty is language, and working on that as well as getting angry at people or in public these things Are not modest in most cases

As a Man I appreciate this. We are very visual in nature when it comes to sex. It's how we are made. Yes with, prayer, living a pious life, discipline and all of that we can control it .
But when ladys are dressed immodest when we first see it our minds go there even if it's for a half a second before we can tamp down on our thoughts or advert our eyes. Our thoughts still go there,, now depending on what we see and on the man will all depend on how far the thoughts go. And those thoughts are sinful in a lustfull nature.
So I appreciate this not only is it good for Women but it helps us Men keep out thoughts and eyes from straying where they shouldn't stray.
    And yes I realize it's a 2 way street.
But the fight against men having lustfull thoughts towards women they see in public in large parts takes both men and women taking steps to avoid it.
Women in dress and men in attitude, prayer and discipline.
Also as a side note to a good Catholic Man looking for a wife a modest Woman both in dress and attitude is a very attractive quality in a Woman.
And again yes Modesty is a 2 way street.

We can see the difference today when women are forced to wear hijabs and only their eyes are showing in some Islamic countries. That's not modesty. That's control. Modesty is more than just dress. It is also in speech, action and thought. Modesty is something that both men and women have to take into account.

This is Weird…”God gave us beauty, and wants us to show it” ? As in … show it off to others…. Which is exactly what you meant, with all in agreement…No, I do Not believe that our Lord Jesus Christ wants women to flaunt their beautiful bodies. True Beaty is in the Soul of a person, God cares nothing at all about outward beauty. Any reasonable adult Knows what modesty is, this is ridiculous. If you feel the need for validation in your dress, something may be amiss. And $200.00 dresses? No thank you.
From modest dress to mini discussion on sex…. What’s with this show? We know you work out, we see you’re pretty, saw previous show about you wondering if your dress is immodest, Enough focusing on beautiful bodies, sex, marital, or otherwise… Some woman want to wear form fitting clothing, low necklines, etc., so that others will notice them for their bodies, and for what? Do your actions glorify God, does your dress glorify God? Getting so world weary. God bless Church Militant. Lord have mercy.

So in other words you didn’t listen to the video like most of the other commenters. Christine is not saying people have to go out and buy a $200 dress but she kindly wanted to put a plug in for her friend who owns a modest dress company. The point of this video very obviously went over your head.

@@jojackson1573 It often seems to be something odd on this show. “Spicy Talk” I mean people that want to hear spicy talk are tuning in to garbage tv. 🙄
