What a awesome game. As a Michigan fan im bummed but Oregon did great and they did it on the road. I love you Michigan. You had your chance and couldnt capitalize on you chance at the end. Keep your heads up. Go Blue. Hats off to Oregon. Fantastic game. Tim.
Good sportsmanship there Tim 👍🏻
What’s crazy is they’ve only lost by 5 combined points to UNC and Gonzaga. Could easily be undefeated without their 5 star center.
@@hs7314 wow. I did not know you had a five star center as well. Good point on the points. I will be paying attention to you guys. Have a great year. That one guy who was scoring all the points was amazing as well.
@@justsomecoolprayingmantisd6422 thank you friend.
Timothy Murphy Oregon’s basketball program has been getting top 10 classes every year. They were number 4 last year. The freshman PF is a 5 star as well. Their 5 star 7 footer hasn’t played all year, comes back in the next game. Even without him their only two losses are UNC/Gonzaga by a combined 5 points lol.
Oregon only has two losses: Gonzaga and UNC, by a combined 5 points. They’ve done that and beaten 5 legit squads WITHOUT their 5 star center and most talented player lol. 🦆 are Dangerous and extremely underrated
HS 73 I’m with you! They are nasty dangerous this year
Don't forget we have a top 10 nba prospect, N'faly Dante coming back in a few games.
Rory Oliver scary sight
Rory Oliver next game I believe
HS 73 if Dante explodes like Walker has, Oregon will be a very complete team! Two ball handlers, wings that can slash, shooters, length at the forward position, and with the addition of Dante into the rotation they will have the center(piece) that is missing in the front court. Super exciting for Pritchard’s final year.
So proud of my ducks
Pritchard is a monster. The usual. Closer. With no props...
This announcer was obviously enjoying this defeat of Michigan as throughout the game made numerous snide remarks about Michigan. The last one of"victorious"was uncalled for.
B1G Network announcers. 🤷🏻♂️
Michigan needs more of an inside game to complement their outside shooting. They should be a dangerous team towards the end of the season
Probably not as dangerous as Oregon by the end of the season -- when the Ducks have Juiston back and a real rim protector in 5* N'Faly Dante
Oregon ain’t going no where.
@@sincityblue03 -
Ducks' best rebounder was out for this game. Fortunately they have a 5* backup, but they missed Juiston
Healthy, with Dante, getting better over the season as Altman teams almost always do -- should be a Final 4 team.
Christopher Carr yeah I don’t think so. But good luck.
sincityblue03 lmao full strength Oregon beats Michigan in a blowout today. Game wouldn’t have been close my guy. Oregon was down a top 10 NBA prospect. Let’s be real here 😂
Looking back this was an absolutely incredible, entertaining game.
That slow start killed Michigan.
Great win for the West Coast Oregon Ducks against the #5 Wolverines in their gym. Mathis made so many big shots and Pritchard huge. Michigan had nice comeback, maybe got worn out doing so.
Missing 3 straight dunks is not gonna happen again. Wagner is starting to get in tune. DDJ will pickup more minutes. Losing this game will help solidify the team.
That's true, I know from the past when I lost tennis matches it made me learn from it and get better the next time
I love Michigan 😍
Just wait until N'Faly Dante has a few games under his belt -- hope he's ready to work.
Mite snag a top #2 even sneak #1 in the tournament as long as they win
Its looking really good. 2017 was a great year. Hopefully they can top it! The Ducks still waiting for that title! Plus I think Payton Pritchard deserves a title. Been at Oregon for 4 years and he has been great
@@liamskillern8873 - Sure nice to have a clutch, Sr point guard. If UO stays healthy and has their normal amount of improvement over the season, they have a real shot at the whole thing this year.
This is probably way too much to ask, but seeing as N'Faly came in late, wouldn't it be cool if he decided to stick around for another season to better showcase his talents.
Looks like another year with Michigan not making the NCAA tournament!😭
It's a long season maybe thought we arrived. Got to get back to playing good basketball. The players of course. Coaching is good with the move to small ball getting us back in the game. Franz is here now. Go Blue!
Two really good teams but I thought Michigan might be a bit ahead of schedule, ranking wise.
😭
I agree
Big Michigan boy here and I think Top 15 to 20 was better than rank 5th overall
U of M should have taken care of biz at home. Props to the Ducks for a big road win, But WTF!! The last few min of reg and the last 4 minutes of OT looked like a layup drill for Oregon. Not ONCE was there help at the rim while Pritchard beat Simpson over and over and over again. Simpsons a tough player but like 5 11. Total coaching failure 100% after two or three layups youd think somebody in a Michigan uniform would protect the rim. But their best shot blocker, 7 foot starting center teske was on the bench. Did i miss something? Did he foul out? It was difficult to watch Oregon make like 8-10 of their final shot attempts all layups, all one on one drives to the rack. They shot 50% but i honestly cant recall one score with an assist attached to it in the last 10 minutes. Oregon's coach and guards noticed this too and kept going to the well because it never ran dry. I think Oregon had like 5 assists in the entire game! Wtf was juwan Howard smoking? I look for him to have a long successful run at UM. He should attract top notch talent and reload year after year. But that was the most pathetic stretch of coaching, (or not coaching), ive witnessed in recent memory. Xavier Simpson must still be seeing that guard Pritchard in his sleep shooting layups. He was the only player protecting the rim during the final moments and OT. Simpson, the shortest guy on the floor who played hard but got beat way too many times in a row without any adjustment. The other four guys stayed home with their guys standing around the perimeter. What, are they all 50% 3 point shooters? But I guess Michigan's bigs didnt need to go in the paint much as it turned out anyway. No defensive rebounds to snag because the ducks didnt miss a shot down the stretch. Again, all of which were one on one drives with no weak side help. Brilliant defensive coaching adjustment. Not. Sad too after Mich came all the way back and took the lead a few times down the stretch. They played good enough offensively at the end to win that tough game at home. Pretty much trading baskets until missing that last try as time expired. In case you haven't noticed this loss really bothers me, lol. But what do I know? im an overweight ex hockey player, (but i have played about everything at a better than average level), sitting on my couch trying to tell a former NBA allstar player, and NBA assistant coach how to make very, very simple and obviously necessary defensive adjustments. I bet coach Howard has forgotten more about bball than I could ever know. But it doesnt take a Jack Ramsey, Larry Brown or a George Karl or Greg Popovic to see how this top 10 team lost a HUGE game in their own gym that would have softened the blow from those losses to Louisville and then what was it, Illinois? Maybe a little overconfidence after beating Gonzaga and NC? Dam, they better learn something from this loss. Lol ok I'll stop ranting. I've been told that im a tad passionate about sports sometime, haha. Same with music, electronics, fixing shit lol, cars, boats, bowling and golf, (not sure if bowling/golf fits under the sports category...? More like games, but i'll still go ballistic after drilling a 300 yrd drive down the middle, hit a good stiff wedge or short iron inside 20 feet.... then three putting for bogey. Or the ringing ten pin after 9 or 10 in a row. Coach Howard can relate as a world class competitor. I'll give a mulligan this time and trust that UM will never again lose a bball game to any team that finishes with 6 assists. (Mind bogglin). Just a final message to Coach Howard. Its good to trust ur guys, play one on one, not giving up open looks to shooters etc. But when they run the same play 5 times in a row, (a few times even without a decent high screen), with their point guard scoring on layups, its ok to send some weak side help. Usually can not go straight up one on one for 40 minutes against a good, quality, well coached team with players who can take your guys off the dribble and drive to the hole and finish. Have a wonderfully passionate day, whatever that means to you. Go Blue!
PS. Coach Howard I get how the smaller, faster three guard lineups are popular nowadays, but I believe your team is one athletic big guy away from the next level. Im talking about a rebounding shot blocking defensive monster with good hands.Shit doesnt even matter if he scores, 7-8 ppg would be gravy coming from offensive rebound stickbacks and dunks. Don't even let him face the basket and shoot jumpers. Nothing outside 7 feet. Just teach him some good footwork and a little baby hook with both hands. 12 boards a game, 2.5 blocks, 2-3 steals, 3 feeds and 3 or 4 quality fouls.Teske tends to disappear for stretches. Plus needs to finish stronger, be more aggressive. I rarely see him put the ball on the floor, with success. Decent shooter but thats about it. An Andre Drummond type player would eat his lunch and take his milk money. Cant even compare to a "poor man's" marc gasol cause gasol can really shoot from distance consistently. I wish him well, hopefully he can contribute with some regular minutes off the bench within some teams rotation. Probably a mid 2nd rounder.
So anyway, you can get most of your scoring from the backcourt and SF position. Then of course there will always be a skilled Euro type forward out there like Wagner who can shoot the 3 stretch the defense, good passer, etc. But I think the big, athletic, rebounding shutdown defender will be the "X Factor" /the glue that holds the machine together. Put him on the opponent's best scoring big. Like a Ben Wallace but a little longer. (I think Big Ben was actually only about 6'6" wasnt he? And thats with the fro). Haha
That's my Christmas wish, first a big ten regular season title. Then the final four in 2021. Then all the marbles, lol. So Santa please deliver my message to the U of M coach via the athletic director preferably. Keep the boss in the loop. And please dont let him break my face for criticizing that Oregon loss. Amen.
Dana Altman is Basketball, he is the greatest bball coach at this time....
Michigan had 2 good games
Oregon missing Juiston and the new big guy N’faly this was a iffy (being gentle) win! Then again, look at UO losses...OT Gonzaga and by 2 against NC. Come tournament nation better watch out. Oregon going for a championship. Anything else will be a disappointment
Yeah. Looking good this year. But looking nothing like 2017 when we were a power house.
Michigan outplayed Oregon in the second half but the last play was not set up good took to much time to get to the basket
Well, then they should’ve won then. I mean, give Michigan credit for coming back in the second half, but every time Michigan took the lead, Oregon responded every time.
Would be a good football game to
CroaX On CZcams To be fair Oregon was playing handicapped without their most talented player lol. Their 5 star 7 footer hasn’t played all year, he’s coming in next game.
Well considering Oregon beat Michigan the last two times in football, handily, I don’t think they want to play the Ducks, haha.
It's OK, we're a tennis school anyways - University of Michigan fans '19
2:28,when I played that was a travel
John Walker
You know what I bet if he didn’t travel there you would have won
Grow up
Sco ducks!!
Michigan always folds in these close games
Good game. Still go blue
*ichigan: goes from unranked to #4
Also *ichigan: loses 3 of the next 4
Wait till Michigan destroys that team to the east
@@ezclampzz749 what "team to the East" are you talking about? If you're talking about us, #1 we're down south, #2 you aren't destroying us. Have you seen the BasketBucks this year? We've been totally annihilating our competition
AlphaBuckeyeLion22 you guys beat Villanova who is not good this year and UNC who has 3 losses also to Michigan and Virginia
@@ezclampzz749 both by 25, and UNC in Chapel Hill. You can't tell me those are impressive wins
AlphaBuckeyeLion22 not when both teams are playing bad right now
Wolverine tears taste so sweet. 😂
Dude that’s stupid
MSU > Michigan
At least we didn't lose to VT
Just Illinois. 😂
Thank you Oregon😎👍
Michigan shouldnt be number 5
There not. They would have dropped even if they had beaten Oregon. After reaching 5 they lost 2 games before Oregon. Rankings are only updated once a week.
LOL MICHIGAN OVERRATED IN EVERY SPORT
Buckeye Troller Ohio will run out of steam and play bad against Michigan, Michigan state, and Maryland
Matthew William Schmitz I don’t think Oregon is better michigan can’t shoot 15% from 3 in the first half
maxwell foster lol you don’t think Oregon is better? They beat Michigan at their house WITHOUT their 5 star center playing lol.
maxwell foster since we’re talking percentages n stuff, I don’t think Michigan gets half of those rebounds if Oregon has their 5 star center hogging the paint all game 🤷🏽♂️
At least Michigan doesn't lose to a 4-5 Minnesota team. Maybe Ohio State was a little overrated themselves huh? You agree?
Michigan overrated.
If the last shot would've went in would you have said that?
I BZ pretty sure Oregon has had a top 10 class the last 5 years lol. Number 4 class last year with 2 5 stars and 4 4 stars lol. But to be fair Oregon was playing shorthanded. Their 7 footer hasn’t played all year. He’s coming back in the next game, 5 star, if he played game wouldn’t have been close
I swear Michigan beyond over rated
yayo badass did you see what they did to the Zags and Tarheels to win the Battle 4 Atlantis? They have shown the potential to be a top 2 seed in the dance. They are still young and developing. Howard is doing an amazing job. Big Blue basketball def isn’t overrated. Now their football team on the other hand....
Jared Carrick
They had two good games then lost to two teams ranked lower then them and Louisville
Michigan is not overrated... the teams 12-15 in the rankings could be number one.....
Sean Oconnor
