It took me 2 years to beat this song on the highest difficulty when I was young and when I did beat it after so many mess ups, I almost screamed from happiness. The amount of hand cramps I got was well worth it and now I listen to this song a lot. This song is something special to me and gave me a very good idea for a story I am writing. Knowing CZcams, this comment will be lost to time, so no one will see my secret 😉

this song lives on in my memories due to it being the only song my dad had left to 100% every song in guitar hero 3. and jesus the tension he felt when he nearly made it to 100% and once even got 99%. hes a guitar legend for me and a huge inspiration to never give up on what i believe is right and fun. love you dad
So many memories… out of everything I do, playing guitar hero games will be the closest I’ve ever gotten to reliving my childhood. I remember trying to beat “Six” on expert on guitar hero 2, then this coming out being a whole different challenge. The look on everyone’s faces when beating this song, or “Six” was absolutely amazing. They looked at you in amazement and praised you. You were a young age doing this. I tend to go bacc now and play “When You Were Young” from guitar hero 3. Couldn’t relate to the song then, can definitely relate to it now. I’ll forever cherish this game (also thank you rock band for making my childhood great, I didn’t forget about you either. The drums were whole different experience) if I could go bacc in time, I would a million times 😔

There’s a certain charm that is so unbeatable in these Guitar Hero games. They choose great songs and everything from the visuals to the gameplay fits the mood. Everyone looks like they belong in a band and it looks like doing gigs. Everyone in the background is jamming. The menu screens look rock-themed, too. It’s the little things that helps :)
today, my best friend beat this on easy, while she had a couple of slip ups, she was ADDICTED to finishing this song, and she fell in love with it. She now LOOOVES guitar hero. It took her about 2 hours to even finish it. she was just amazing at it. I was talking to our friend while she was playing, and i saw her get to the part where they started singing again, and i knew at that moment, she was going to beat this song. I glanced at the screen and said "holy s***" got up, and sat next to her. i was absolutely stunned. i watched her play it all the way through, from start to finish. it got to the last 30 seconds and she kept messing up, but some how came back with a clutch to get to the green progression. i sprung up from my seat, and screamed "YOU GOOOO ELLA" as she played the last note. everyone in the room SCREAAAMED their lungs out and praised her with hugs, and love. I felt nothing but utter love and appreciation. i hugged her and started tearing up, i was shocked. i never felt such excitement then that moment. Forever this day will go down in history for me as i watched my best friend beat a song that is absolutely difficult to play on easy. (keep in mind, she barely even plays Video Games/guitar hero. so i was VERY PROUD OF HER. this is also a person who was on a call with me for about 7- 8 hours, and for two of those hours i was trying to beat Rayman Legends. i kept getting stuck on the last level { which are 8-bit versions/difficult versions of the previous Music Levels of all the stages} Orchestral Chaos was difficult and i was stuck on it for about 1 hour or 1 hour and 30 mins, and she kept pressuring me to beat it, hummed/sang along with me to the beat, and kept telling me "you got this, dont give up, you are amazing. thats why i kept pressing her to get this song done and over with.) sorry for this being a whole entire book, but Ella...if you see this. im so proud of you, you are absolutely incredible and im so happy for you. that rush must've felt great.

Confession time: I broke one of my guitar controllers during my mad quest to beat this song on expert back in the day. Totally burned out by the end of the song, and shifted one key down at the riff at 7:18. Failed the song before I realized what I'd done... Teenage meltdown and broke the controller. Not my proudest moment. I did ultimately go on to barely scrape by and pass the song though. Nostalgia trip from this video for sure.
