I got stood up for a date on a motorcycle ride. I've never had that happen to me before. I don't know why. Should I ask? Should I forget about it. I don't know what I did! Maybe it's not a good time. It's not like every man in my life hasn't hurt me in some way or another.vi just want him to know that I don't care. In reality I want to know why. I'm dying to relapse and forget. Any insight?

I'm on day 8 today sober from marijuana. In the 10 years (since age 17) of smoking pretty much all day everyday with 3 months straight being the longest without it. It has ruined me by my own doing numbing me from my mental health pain I go through. I spent all my money on it, drove high, stole for it at one point, sold all my stuff to pawnshops for it, spent probably 20k on it with nothing to show. I was selfish and only cared about getting high. I'm determined this time to make better choices and get my life back. I look forward to saving money and feeling better/clear minded and overall better. I've relapsed countless times but sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom to know it is time to drop it for good. I also experienced homelessness because I chose it over everything. No longer going to let that happen. Hold yourself accountable and realize life sober is better. Yall can do it. And if you happen to relapse, remind yourself it's not permanent and you can still choose the next day to stop.

I recently quit weed and this channel has helped me a lot. I've "relapsed" a few times but I don't know if I'd really call it that, I was a daily smoker for a while, it got to the point where I was basically high 24/7, luckily I realized what I was doing to myself and was able to quit. I still use occasionally, sometimes at parties with close friends, or on special occasions, I'm not a big party person so I'm maybe using once every other month if that, and I've noticed that I actually enjoy using the drug again and it isn't eating up my life like it used to. I feel like most people have a pretty unhealthy relationship with substances in that once they quit they can never use or enjoy that thing again, and sure for some people in some situations that's true, but what I think would benefit more people is finding a healthy relationship with what they use and being more conscious and mindful of their use and not demonizing it. What happened to me when I tried to quit before is I would go cold turkey, hate everything for a while, use again, then just give up because oh I used this thing that's killing me again, I guess I just don't care about myself, why not start it again, instead of allowing myself to realize that I don't need to demonize it, I can use occasionally, and that occasional use is still wayyyyyyy healthier than what I was doing before.
edit: This works for me, this may not work for everyone though, the more you know yourself the easier it is to find your way to quit, or to make a change that will significantly improve your health.

I’ve been on and off on weed, quitting a relapsing for many times, and I learned so much about myself… it has been almost a spiritual journey. And I don’t blame the weed. Weed is like shrooms, it will reveal some truth to you, about your inner state, etc. Currently sober for a few days and I don’t even think about weed. I think I’m taking control as the coach said… all my life I’ve been like the leaf that is blown around. Honestly I feel better sober and with control, but I can’t hate the weed. It was my mistake of not knowing how to use the drug…

Yeah that can be helpful and really depends on the person and drug. It's not a bad approach for weed or alcohol assuming you aren't genetically predisposed to being addicted to them. I've heard most alcoholics do have a genetic factor at play. I wouldn't recommend it for nicotine though

Thank you for everything you do on this channel. Ive been 5 days sober now from both nicotine and weed after consuming weed everyday for 5 years straight and im starting to get to the point where i dont even think about it anymore. I was stuck in the cycle of wanting to quit but looking for any reason why i should keep doing it and why i couldnt quit. I got tired of feeling like i didnt have control of my actions so i finally made the change. I don't see myself going back ever considering that it does not go hand in hand with my mental health. I know plenty of people who can consume a lot of weed and their lives are fine, they don't struggle with finances or mental health issues. But for me the addiction was dismantling everything i had going for me, luckily i was able to quit before i hit rock bottom and now my mind and my wallet are much happier. So thank you for your encouragement. Ive been watching your videos every day since i quit and they have been a lot of help. We all just need a Frank in our ear telling us its a bad idea

Eventually ill probably delete it once im fully past the withdrawals. It does make me feel like im making more progress seeing the days added to the tracker i will say. I dont think tracking is for everyone though. I could see how someone could be like "oh i made it to 30 days, itll be okay if i relapse this one time" then they end up just going back to the vicious cycle. i dont necessarily see this for me, i have no intention on going back to that lifestyle. I'm one month clear of alcohol, day 9 clear of weed. Been a heavy drinker and smoker for 35 years (I'm 54). The alcohol was relatively easy to quit. Quitting weed has been the hardest thing I have ever dealt with. Been taking 2000mg of aswagandha for 4 days, really helped me sleep a bit, not a full night's sleep but a few hours is better than nothing. Anxiety has massively reduced but it still comes and goes. Brain fog persists. I get the feeling from watching these videos that quitting weed is not the work of a moment, it's a life long journey. Good luck to everyone who has or wants to quit.

I quit weed 9 months ago after 11 years of near daily smoking. Before that, I tried to quit at least 20 times but relapsed! What helped me stay off of that garbage for good this time was mindset. I have become anti-weed. I think weed is the dumbest thing on Earth. Anyone who gives their money to some plug (or dispensary) in exchange for a cheap high that destroys their lungs and wastes valuable time is an idiot and a loser. I used to be an idiot and a loser. Not anymore! Weed is for losers who have to have some mind altering drug to feel good. I'm high on life, jogging, lifting weights (now I'm fit), smiling, making eye contact, breathing easier, having a positive mindset, better sleep, better sex, fatter wallet, much more sociable, could get any job (but I love my current job), etc. I can't believe I wasted all those years on that garbage. Anyone still smoking weed...WAKE UP AND QUIT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
