His entire game is just... wow. His offense is a full package, post moves, shot, playmaking, rebounding... Everyone talks how "Bad" his defense is, which really isn't true, matter of fact he has been quite a solid defender this playoffs, he isn't engaging into a lot of layups or close shots on his rim for the simple fact that they don't want him in the foul trouble.

Jokic is no wasted motion. Just a pure baller with such high level offensive skill and understanding of the game. Totally unicorn like given his size/length, know-how to use it, his magic like passing abilities and deft touch from everywhere. Since he improved his conditioning, there’s no stopping him. He’s the best player right now.
I don’t think he’s a bad defender at all, but what I would really love to see from Jokic is to do what Marc Gasol did and become DPOY. Gasol was a similar build and body type, not gifted athletically but worked hard and brought it every night on the defensive end and became an elite defender. If Jokic can do that, he’s in GOAT center territory along with Olajuwon.

@@anthonytobias5459 to me, he’s Marc Gasol crossed with a slightly past his prime Arvydas Sabonis, who because of injuries towards the end of his career relied on his incredible skill set and size to be an effective player. Both were great passers from the centre position. He also reminds of a centre version of Mark Jackson.

Emmy award winning sideline reporter Lisa Salters said that game 1 vs the Lakers was the first time she had watched Jokic play. ESPN needs to do a much better job of NBA coverage next year or just give the coverage to TNT (who does a much better job than ESPN of basketball coverage).
@@kevind4606 they need to hire different people, their NFL coverage is good because of the knowledgeable people. I know CZcamsrs who break down the game better than Perkins, Windhorst, Malika, Richard Jefferson and Tristan Thompson. All those guys were hired to defend LeBron and the Lakers, not to talk real basketball
To be fair, T-Mac was one of the few guys who said Jokic deserved MVP all year so he's not being fake like a lot of other ex-players and analysts.
TMAC is a legend and appreciates how great Joker is.
The most impressive thing is the versatility. He has both the soft touch of a shooter and the ability to bang hard with the biggest dudes under the basket. Few players combine both. Plus the accurate passing, the long range shooting... And I like his attitude. No primadonna and crybaby episodes like Joel or KAT.
He is a breath of fresh air in a world of never ending threes. I am so sick of the way most teams play the game today and that includes my Celtics. Unwatchable.
Yeah there is a reason why the nuggets are shooting a low volume compared to the league of three but still winning and that’s cause they only take efficient shots they won’t just jack up threes it’s just what’s the best most effiecmt way to score. Watching Jokic run pick and roll with Jamal Murray in the post is something you only see in video games lol. A Center on the perimeter feeding a 1 Guard in the post.. they did it in the 1st game of the Finals and Murray had 2 big dunks. Amazing 👏🏻

As a Nuggets fan we have been aware of Jokic for the last 5 years, it's funny to watch others catch up now
It was really in 2020/2021 when he actually became this offensive juggernaut... Before that he was a parenial all star type player with great upside, smooth and talented, similar to Gasol brothers
T- mac being honest about his Lakers pick and admiting he was wrong.... And he is genuinely star struck by Jokic's game and gives him his flowers.
Jokic does not have an ego, doesn't seek attention and he is humble to a fault. He is the best player in the NBA, but he doesn't know it and he will never promote himself. Totally unselfish and he leads with a Team First mentality. He is so fun to watch and I am so glad to have him on my hometown team.
I think any guard would love playing with Jokic. Just open shot after open shot while having fun. Jokic has definitely made his mark this year.
