I have to say, the move of bringing your writers to the forefront is a stroke of genius. You get to create content out of office inside jokes and it's incredibly entertaining to watch
and writers (usually the unsung heroes of entertainment) get some airtime/recognition.
talk shows have been doing this for decades 🧐
Giving his writers a platform also allows for a broader range of humor! It seems like they are a pretty diverse team and can tell some freakin' genius jokes that would be super inappropriate for a straight, cis, white dude to deliver.
It's clearly a trick learned from Conan and Seth does it well. Half his episodes had a mini version of 'the office'. There are story arcs and everything.

I just love it that Seth and the writers are clearly going a bit bonkers by now, but also clearly love each other. It's hilarious!

I love that Seth's writers get to have their own segments. There were some good burns here, especially the bit about Karen's degree. 😂 YOU DO YOU, MIKE!! I also think the line, "I dunno, maybe he's Italian" was seriously under-appreciated.

What saved my 2020: respirators.
I just had a dream that I worked on the show. Of course it was kind of dream-surreal, but he was one of the nicest persons I could imagine.
That's what you get falling asleep to corrections (actually a gateway to really good sleep and falling back asleep). Sometimes better than meditation sounds/music, ASMR. Only comparable to nature ambience or silence when I'm good with silence.
There's a lot of truth inside our dreams. He is a nice person.

My 6yo was incensed that he has to wear a shirt for his school zoom meetings even though we are at home. The compromise is a white tank undershirt. Yeah, my kid looks ridiculous, but at this point, IDGAF. I'm over all this zoom stuff!
