This archetype is so funny, it's worth playing for the flavor text alone.
Finally got to visit that harbor specializing in Gunkan Suships that I've been curious about for a while! The premium "Shari" here is limited to 2000 Suships a year, and uses special developed smooth and rice, giving it extra boldness not found anywhere else. The classy atmosphere made my heart sing, too. The Gunkan Suship served had a perfect balance of vinegar, nigiri, shine, and shape, demonstrating exquisite artisanship. The owner told me, "We are introducing rich yet mellow scented EDO-FRONT red vinegar in the near future," which I'm really looking forward to. However, I was disappointed the surrounding seas were a little noisy... so, giving it 4 stars with hope for improvements in the future.

I like the deck but it's janky af and cant compete with the meta unless you get real lucky
I love how everything in this card text is related to Gunjan Suship Shari itself and even hints at the future. 2000 ships a year a reference to it's attack stat. 4 star review in reference to it's level. And the greatest part being the upcoming red vinegar ship in the future being a reference to the newly releasing Gunjan Suship Shari Red.

The Suship archetype is surprisingly versatile. I myself have made a hybrid deck with U.A. and it works well. It does need refining but it's fun to use.
The deckslots are so tight for this archetype it's insane.
It also sucks that the only way to get Shari in your hand is by sending one to Grave with Painful Decision, or go -1 with Small World.
I also heavily feel like this deck is only good for going second in it's current state, though this might change when we get N.As.H. Knight.
Focus on either putting in a bunch of various handtraps to "stun" your opponent and then clean up their board or use powerful going second boardbreaker cards.
Dark Ruler No More turns off battle damage so unfortunately this mean you won't get a pop of Ikura Dreadnought, but it is still very good at baiting out countertraps like Nine Pillars of the Yang Zing, the negation on it's activation will also mean you will still be able to deal Battle Damage.
Optionally you can also use Bahamut Shark to summon Number 71, then overlaying 71 for Black Ray Lancer to then go for F0, this will also add Rank-Up-Magic the Seventh One on top of your deck (it's a garnet like Double or Nothing, probably refrain from playing both), which means you can summon stuff like Number C101 Silent Horror DARK or C104 Umbral Horror Masquerade on your followup turn, provided you sacrifice your normal draw for it.
Piercing the Darkness will help you beat over high attack/defense monsters and if you combine it's extra draws with your field spell stacking your deck you can make this deck alot smoother.

I built this deck too. It's extremely weak at the current state. You can pretty much see it in the last match. While the first player only used the suship cards to get into generic extra deck monster, the enemy played an actual Suship deck and he couldn't do anything against Number F0.
It could steal a few wins with generic extra deck monsters, but you can do the same with pretty much every deck that is able to bring out more than one lvl 4 monster in one turn. If you want to actually play suships though, then you won't get to a high rank.
My guy suship isn't deck you can have generic fun with it's deck to bait your opponents negates
Play it with Magikey and dogmatika.
Now you can eat sushi while Praising god with a talking gun.

Goes to show you can have a bunch of negates but if you dont put care into how you use those negates youâll loose almost every time
This archetype made me add sushi as one of the things i want to try

Omg i've been wanting to make a suship deck ever since they introduced the cards, but put in on hold, until today, when i searched youtube for suship deck and you have a video in the last 24 hours. What are the odds hahahha
Gunkan have a lot of way to play. If u like floodgate your can include gravity bind and super ancient organism in your deck since your playing mostly level 4 and negate attack of level 4 is not a big deal since main objective is to XYZ summon Gunkan ship. Useless tips, Gunkan share same issue with Flowandeereeze as the extender all low in attack value as easily kill by King Tiger Wanghu and Slifler the sky dragon.

Suships are good but they struggle against decks that destroy backrow easily
umm... not really, gunkan don't really care for the backrow much
infact this is more of a rank 4 turbo then a suship deck, and the deck breakdown doesn't even includes piercing the darkness in the cards is frankly surprising to me

I believe negation is one aspect but being able to combo after being negated 2 or 3 times is the way for rogue

because it was special summoned by shipyard effect I guess?
All the XYZs have 3 effects
If they're made with:
Shari- draw 1
Their specific monster- Double atk, Search s/t, attack directly
And If they are summoned at all regardless of materials:
Destroy a card when dealing damage with a Suship XYZ, Become indestructible by card effects and gain atk while there is a field spell, Negate cards during your main phase/ opponent's battle phase.

So this is Utopia/Rank 4 turbo not Gunkan Suship? Got it.
Suship is not a good deck by itself⊠so of course people pair it with good XYZ engines. Itâs literally no different than people throwing Adventure/DPE into every deck they have. No deck plays true to their archetype and performs well other than HERO, Blue Eyes, Dinos, and Dark Magician
@@drakev. Yeah I understand that, but why call it Gunkan when itâs not? The way I see it, if youâre going to play something that isnât the deck you might as well just build the strongest version of rank 4 spam at that point. If you wanted to play/see Gunkan monsters on the field youâd play actually Gunkan Suship not this
@@_iHavok thatâs the thing, You canât really run an full extra deck of Gunkans. They are only relied on to draw into combos
